>set up Plex
>gf is too stupid to access it from Bluray player
>buy Nexus Player
>literally all she has to do is say the name of the show or movie and the Plex/Netflix result will show up
>she still can't do it and asks for my help
to be fair the Bluray player I could understand.
You had to go Internet>Opeta TV Store>My apps>Plex>Open.
It was needlessly obscure.
But we get Plex recommendations on our homescreen now, Plex is the first app and there is voice search...
She's not really dumb but she's very much the type of sweet stupid where she means well but looks to others for protection, guidance, advice, etc.

Ultimate comfy. I've got plexrequests with couchpotato and sickrage using rtorrent with rutorrent as the frontend. TV comes from BTN and movies come from either PixelHD, AHD or PTP. Plexpy for indepth stats on the server. Share with a few friends and some family.
I use ps3 and the media server program, it's bare bones but I've been using it for years now and when I first started using it nothing else could reliably format video as well for my tv. that being said I've been having issues lately with one of the transcoding engines and the ps4 doesn't support mkv for some goddamn reason so I have to keep switching back and forth.
Is there a better/easier set up available now? I haven't looked around for a long time.
