Iam really glad that prequels didn't ruin imperials. Like Tarkin saying "Ugh Alderaan, I really hate that planet, it deserves to be detroyed" or something like that
>Tarkin and Anakin scene
>'The Imperial March'starts playing.
>looks at the picture
My god.................Snoke is Tarkin!
Well saying he was "in it" as if he meant something in the film is a bit of a stretch in the first place.
>so my bosses really love those black capes
>i don't really fit in with this uniform
>maybe i should ask if i can have a black cape
>no that would be improper
>i think i'd look good in one
>better than that kid anakin, anyway
>puts himself in a robot suit and suddenly thinks he's the king of the castle
>that death star thing is nice though
Tarkin was in The Clone Wars and Rebels, it's Canon
Anakin Skywalker: You lack faith in the Jedi.
Tarkin: I find their tactics ineffective. The Jedi Code prevents them from going far enough to achieve victory, to do whatever it takes to win. The very reason why peacekeepers should not be leading a war.
[Anakin scowls at him]
Tarkin: Have I... offended you?
Anakin Skywalker: No. I've also found that we sometimes fall short of victory because of our methods.
Tarkin: There. I see we agree on something.
Anakin Skywalker: Things seem to be going as planned.
Captain Tarkin: It's when things do not go as planned that concerns me. What then?
Anakin Skywalker: It's when things don't go as planned that we Jedi are at our best. Trust me.
Captain Tarkin: I reserve me trust for those who take action, General Skywalker.
Anakin Skywalker: Then let me remind you, we rescued you back there. And I reserve my trust for those who understand gratitude, Captain Tarkin.
I know people don't like the end of ROTS because it's all "wrapped up in a neat little bow" but I kinda liked how it's a decent interlude into the "feel" of the originals iykwim.
Why do you think Obi-Wan said "I've failed you"? Qui-Gon would have been a much better mentor. Since he was a bit of a maverick himself, Anakin would have been able to respect him more than Obi-Wan, who was much more orthodox.
Tarkin: A job well done General Skywalker
[Anakin shakes his outstretched hand]
Tarkin: I wish more more Jedi had your military sensibilities...
[eyes Obi-wan momentarily and begins to leave)
Tarkin: Perhaps I can inform the Chancellor of your valour
Obiwan: I'm not sure what to think of your new ally
Anakin: Well I think we need people like him. This is a war. If we aren't willing to do what it taes to win, we risk losing everything we try to protect
Tarkin: I admire the design of this fortress. It's rather formidable to evade.
Ahsoka: How can you admire such a horrible place?
Tarkin: You reveal your short-sightness. This ordeal only demontrates how effective facilities like the Citadel are. Pity it ended up in Separtist hands and not ours...
Anakin: He has a point
Anakin: You know, it's not wise to argue with Master Piell. It's certainly not a good career move
Tarkin: General Skywalker, I stand by my principles, no matter what. Besides, I needn't worry about my career. I've fallen into favour with te Chancellor. He shall support me.
Anakin: Oh? I happen to know the Chancellor quite well myself.
Tarkin: Oh, Really?
