It sounded really stupid when I read about it but after listening to it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
Then I actually watched the clip and I thought it was actually pretty cool.
Le 90's Kids who aren't old enough to remember Cobain's death romanticizing him and mythologizing him like he's not a talentless hack sellout cracks me the fuck up. I wonder if hippies felt this way when Lennon died.
I FEEL STUPID AND CONTAGIOUS
pan gets me and understands le nirvana is le best band ever le 90s kid 4ever
>it's a courtney love murders her husband and blames his coworker episode
Allen Wrench did it
Courtney paid him
After this interview (where El Duce accidentally says "Allen"), Allen Wrench shows up at his house and goes for a walk with El Duce. 10 minutes later Duce gets hit by a train.
I honestly don't even see why this scene is supposed to be so cringeworthy. It may not have worked all that well but at least they tried to put a different spin on Peter Pan. You guys are all complaining that TFA is too similar to ANH so why hate on this so much?
Having watched and listened to it multiple times now, it honestly isn't that bad.
Out of place? A little.
Based Huge JackedMan hams it up pretty well though so that you don't have to take it that seriously.
The scene may have been sort of serviceable if they were working like slaves and not fucking dancing to it. Also, the Canada joke killed the scene before it started.
At least jackmans having fun being Johnny Depp.
Is it weird that the first time I saw this video I almost cringed and thought it was so fucking out of place, but now after viewing it multiple times over the course of a day I'm starting to enjoy it and want to see the entire movie in hopes that it has a similar tone?
Was so shocked to learn that was jackman, was convinced it was richard o'brien
That wasn't bad. Hell, even if it was, I would rather film creators try something weird and different and fail horribly, than see them competently put something together that I've already seen a million times before.
Basically this. At least Lucas tried to do something different with the PT. He failed, those movies are awful and I'm nit defending their content. But even then, the PT was a better contribution to the whole of Cinema than TFA, because they failed in spectacular and strange ways and taught us all something. All TFA taught us is that people will make fun of the "it's like poetry so that they rhyme" bullshit and then still eat the shit up when it occurs.
Why does he have so many rings? And why couldn't they have made him Hook? Nobody wanted the "Captain Hook used to be a hunky good guy who was friends with Peter Pan until he was radiclized." I mean really.
