Anyone else watching?
reading this made me hyped as fuck for my cozy night in until i read this
fuck jack whitehall, i cannot stand the prick, i don't think i've heard him say a single joke which i found funny and not incredibly staged
like i know all comedians have their material prepared before hand, but at least they can execute it naturally, it always seems with him that everyone stops what they're doing to let whitehall have his moment before getting on with the show again
People who were actual comedians on the Christmas one:
>Jo Brand (on paper at least and she shut her gob when she wasn't making decent jokes)
Literally one person who wasn't a comedian and she was a good sport anyway.
Noel Fielding doesn't count because he's literally unfunny. Only person carrying his weight is Richard Ayoade.
His meme humour was funny back in 2004 or whenever he had his 5 minutes of fame but now he is a fucking nobody.
That time on Buzzcocks when Simon Amstell completely shut down his entire comedy routine literally ruined his entire career.
His dad is high up in the media industry. Only reason he even has a career.
>Michael John Whitehall is a British producer, talent agent and author. He is a former theatrical agent who went on to form two production companies, Havahall Pictures in 1988, and Whitehall Films in 1998. Wikipedia
HAHA DRINK BAILEYS OUT THE SHOES HAHAHA
SHOES AREN'T BEVERAGE CONTAINERS BUT BAILEYS IS A BEVERAGE HAHAH SO RANDOM OH DEAR HAHAH OH WOW
It's a wacky police comedy. It's kind of stupid and the main guy is shit, but it's good enough if you need something mindless. They have this buff black guy who I think did those old spice commercials. Cool dude.
>Noel Fielding and Russell Brand winning every game by doing nothing and getting one question right for 22 pity points
Brand is just old husband jokes and imsofat jokes, haven't laughed at anything she's said in ages
Rob Brydon is decent, but he usually tries too hard and ends up failing more often than not
sean and jon are cool though, but i get enough out of those two on 8 out of 10 cats
I dunno, even mr MY MATE DAVE had his moments on mock the week, Whitehall has done nothing notable in his career
Lee Mack is lightning fast though. I'd be worried that he and Frankie would ruin each others flow, and that Boyles recent Guardianisation would ruin his early genius. Lock is pretty good at pulling other people apart so he'd need someone dumb like anyone from TOWIE.
Turned this off at the first advert break. I'll watch it sometime next week. Really didn't grab me, and the cast is really bad, except for Ayoade and Fielding who make a great team. Not worth watching live.
I'll never be able to see someone criticize a young blonde comedian (or Jack Whitehall) without immediately thinking "at least it's not Russell Howard."
I know that it's a terrible measuring stick, but after being subjected to so much Russell Howard everyone else is just fine to my brain.
Well he's not even an active stand up anymore, and he can pretty much coast along on voice over work now. Mock the Week is odd now, it pretty much just seems like a place to put over newer comics.
It's just depressing watching Dennis on Mock. He really isn't an unfunny comedian at all, but he just looks exhausted on the show. Can't remember the last time he made me laugh on there, he mostly just makes me cringe.
Honestly, Mock the Week's kind of lost its charm, Dara's the only one saving it. And sometimes Ed Byrne and Dara's amazing chemistry.
>missed the last 5 minutes bc i was checking my recently ex-gf's twitter
>she posted about being asked about something when arranging to meet up with someone
>the person she's talking about is a guy i introduced her too
fuck the quiz im getting another drink
just wait for this
>she stopped loving me months ago
>just went through the motions until she met someone else
>broke up with me at christmas
>my whole family thought i was gonna kill myself over the festive period even tho i didn't tell anyone she broke up with me
>tfw I just set my wedges to cook at 160 instead of 210 degrees
Alan is actually confirmed to stay on. I'm sad Stephen's leaving, but once I heard Sandy Toksvig was taking over I was actually pleasantly surprised. She's basically the perfect counterpart to Stephen, female, gay and intelligent. Perfect choice. But we'll see how it turns out.
I only really got into panel shows after the advent of youtube, so among my first exposures was marathoning episodes of LaMarr Buzzcocks episodes, followed by Amstell Buzzcocks, that some kind fellow had uploaded. I don't remember ever spending so much time laughing at a panel show since. I remember being genuinely in pain because my entire chest was cramping after spending too long being happy and laughing too often in a single day.
Amstell was good, although he had the unfortunate task of working with Noel Fielding, who is inferior to Bill Bailey. He's also inferior to Julian Barratt on The Mighty Boosh.
Mel C was always surprisingly funny on Buzzcocks though.
>mfw I've genuinely seen people complain about Toksvig being the host because she's too know-it-all and because she's gay
i actually think thats just the characters
vince is not funny but howard is
but when each of them play diff characters, EG old gregg crack fox etc etc they probably end up equally as funny
I went on the internet... I heard you can order food off the internet now, so I was interested in THAT, obviously...
And it turns out it's nearly all men on there, which probably explains why they're all so STUPID!
But I thought, "this is fantastic!" A communtity of people, all as fat as me!
So I told those people on this website "4chan," that I AM a woman, and one of them asked if I'd sit on his cock! I said okay, but it would be extremely painful...
Yeah, I remember now that he bombed hard the last time he was on a panel show (Buzzcocks?).
I still like his stand up though, I just let the liberal shit slide and enjoy the ranting.
honestly not that good
disappointed by peretti, i don't think she understood the concept and she just looked lost
food fight looked like it was about to get real
at one point
mel was pretty good actually
