Pretty sure it's comcast that leaked 3&4 before episode 2 aired. Then syfy released them online so they would at least get some revenue rather than everyone just viewing the torrents.

It's doing well by the books so far.
It has taken a couple of liberties (the Roci crew are a bit more hostile towards each other to begin with), but it's very easy to argue that they were needed to bridge the gap between book and show. I think by season's end that'll all be worked out.

Out of any other show I would agree with you, Boxleitner is made of wood, but what he is, that was what the part needed. Kismet in terms of acting well enough and making the other players give him space to work in the scenes, they made him funny, likable well beyond what the part should be.
