Best visual representation of the mind I can think of is a browser that gives you a random pop-up every 10 seconds while making the page you are looking out of focus.

Best way to put this into a movie would be making the world out to focus with the exception of a tiny detail like a spider on a wall, a music that was very low but suddenly it the only thing you can hear or how suddenly something that someone is wearing catches your attention and reminds you of something.

Make sure to show this happening during different situations, on conversations, classrooms, games and so on.

It'll be hard to show what it happens when a very unrelated subject just pops-up on your mind for no reason tho.

I have trouble focusing--I'd have a shot of somebody talking to you, but the center of the screen is blocked by a square of a random ass sequence of images that connect, tangentially. Whatever the speaker is saying can drift in once in awhile, but not well enough to hear. Until a line like "hey, are you listening?" I was diagnosed at 22, been taking ritalin for a while now and it is absolutely amazing.

It has improved every area of my life, I can be in social situations acting competently for multiple hours. I can study and be completely focused on the material, I am no longer tired throughout the day even with full nights sleep.


All my life I have been a daydreamer, and the overthinking has affected me in many negative ways. Ritalin doesnt turn me into a zombie, it simply allows me to do one thing at a time, and it is amazing.

Try to make the viewer not even realize how far off topic the main character is until the end when they are somehow reminded of their original task.
