The entire Attack on Jakku opening scene is GOAT. The stormtroopers raiding the village, Kylo's introduction, his conversation with Lors before he kills him, then afterwards catching Poe's blaster shot.
Way better than Revenge of the Sith's goofy opening that has like three different tones and awkward dialouge.
Haha yeah too bad the next 2 hours are cuking him and preparing him to lose a lightsaber duel to a little girl holding a lightsaber for the first time.
He couldn't even kill finn, he scratched his jacket (which suits him)
How did he kill the other jedi under luke? Because he hasn't done anything anyway impressive with the force
>inb4 he stopped le bolt in midair!@#!@# t
When it comes down to the wire and ONE bullet is fired at him, it's a #directhit!!!!
He's shit tier, he had rey strapped to a table, cut to the end of the movie and she's defeating him.
It's like a old james bond
"Now that ive captured you, Ill tell you my whole plan cause youll never escape hehe, just wait gotta go get some tea brb, dont escape!"
Darth Maul was essentially just a fuckin lightsaber and he was more menacing, intimidating and knew how to fight. He spins around and shit too lad, actually good to watch, kills jedi master and unluckily dies in passion fueled scene where apprentice avenges his master.
Kylo literally fails to kill a stormtrooper in 1v1 lightsaber combat then gets btfo by a chick
>he was wounded
He's also the first person weilding a lightsaber to be filmed getting hit by a projectile weapon
LOLin @ you bro, take down the parkway drive posters and stop watching sword art online
>Kylo is supposed to be menacing and intimidating meme
It's like you didn't even watch the movie. Also in the flashback scene where Rey touches the lightsaber we see that none of the pupils that Kylo and his niggas were killing had lightsabers, only Kylo had a lightsaber.
skirting around any lingering drama is easier for filmmakers to do and more palatable to plebs. More dramatic scenes = more chances for awkward or atonal parts, which Disney et al. desperately wanted to avoid (for one, to distance themselves from the PT). Easy business decision, given TFA is nothing but a commercial product.
I think breaking the tension with humor was fine in this situation because it establishes the kind of person Poe is. There are other moments when the tension being broken hurts the story. Not this one. This was good.
Lol @ how spot on all of this is, every bit. He got rekt but he's a kid and a student. Smoke says he will complete his training, so the next movie will reflect that in his skill I'm sure.
this scene was goat.
the worst thing was POE and the "do i talk first or you" it was totally against the feel of the scene or wasn't delivered right or something.
in fact, there's not reason to watch the rest of the movie after that scene, its all downhill
The opening was okay but then it kept just barreling with no sense of pace or rhythm.
We're on the imperal ship then 10 seconds later Finn and Poe are already escaping, then 10 seconds later they're in the TIE, then 10 seconds later they're already back on Jakku. Then 10 seconds later Finn is already near Rey, etc..
The whole thing had the pacing of a Transformers movie.
There is such a thing as TOO snarky, and Po Dameron was too fucking snarky.
That said the movie was alright, I wish it were more original though. SO EXCITING BLOWING UP THE DEATH STAR A THIRD TIME.
Also me and my friends busted out laughing when Kylo took his mask off.
This description has me actually laughing. Do you think somebody has made an edited clip of this?
Everybody laughed when he took off his mask because he has a fucking horse face. It's not a big deal and he does look like an evil character so it's fine. His voice was great though, I was worried it would be all lame and high pitched when he took off his mask but it still sounded deep and scary.
How did he get fucked by Fin? That's what I don't get. Fin is just some lame guy who has never held a light saber and he was able to take on this guy who has such great control over the force? Why not just use the force to throw a bunch of trees at Fin?
