why was cartman in the christmas special? and why did they get his hat poof color wrong?
I don't fucking understand, why did the 10th Doctor suddenly become evil?
He was always fucking evil and crazy as shit
>tfw still Faction Paradox
feels grand, father
>tfw "It's the end... But the moment has been prepared for" will never win
I could also accept "Absolutely fantastic!" and "A tear, Sarah Jane?"
Tennant's regeneration could be one of my favorites if he had regenerated right after saving Wilf, and with some better last words.
>I like the 5th doctors exit most, pity he has to remind us of Adric.
I think the mention of Adric made sense, in the context of the story.
You know, since his whole motivation throughout Caves of Androzani is trying to save his companion. He didn't want to lose another one, so to speak. By sacrificing himself to save Peri, he makes amends for letting Adric die.
who else wants the doctor to sport this look next season?

>It literally doesn’t have a bad scene. It’s overflowing with ideas, both dramatic and political. Capaldi and Coleman both get some of the best scenes they’ll have in their careers. It’s an absolutely superlative piece of Doctor Who. As good as the show has ever been.
>But more than that, it was shockingly, rawly 2015.
What did he mean by this?
What if Capaldi played the Doctor AND the Master? Some timey-wimey shit happens in the TARDIS and the Doctor goes bonkers, thinking he's the Master. But what he does is act something out from the Doctor's perspective, pretending the Master is there talking to him, then he travels back in time to BE the Master in those moments. He uses time travel to fulfill his own schizoid delusions.
You mean, "rawly 2015"?
It was about issues of terrorism, and ideological differences, and deciding not to go war, and the cost of war on innocents, no matter who's right. Whether or not you liked the ep, or even if you think it didn't do it well, the parallels should be obvious.
>it really is a relief not to sit there and wonder how those scripts get produced.
Yet you're still here complaining about them? wtf is wrong with doctor who fans.
imo anytime someone announces that they stopped watching and they're either lying or will come back next series.
people who genuinely stopped watching just leave and don't make a fuss about it
Holy shit, they've actually given Big Finish the cover of DWM.
Has this ever happened before since the new series started?
Today has been a good day for McGann.

Now I don't know if you guys really wanna follow me down this rabbit hole, but whatever.
I am a footfag, and after a fairly substancial search happened upon this post from 2008:
This is the section of the website where people post feet pics. I cannot access the pic, the link is dead as MySpace got rid of all the old accounts. Essentially, there is a load of GOAT Jenna pic we will never ever see. like these ones:
...Unless one of you guys has the bizarre ability to access deleted MySpace accounts, or know a place where these pics were dumped back in the day.

The Doctor belongs to the Celestis. canon. The doctor's final secret revealed at last

>ywn be abzorbed into Fat Clara's tanned backfat.
That reminds me:
Moffat was quoted as saying that the next companion is something never possible before, and that he hopes won't break the FX budget.
In McGann's canon appearance as the Eighth Doctor in Night of the Doctor he specifically references and acknowledges companions that only existed in Big Finish audios, confirming the canon status of Big Finish material.
>falling for this meme
All Night confirms is that the doctor has had companions with those names. It didn't explicitly reference any of the big finish audios that use those characters, so those big finish audios are not canon
The doctor having a companion named Lucie is canon. It is currently undeterminable whether the lucie mentioned in Night is the one from big finish audios. And even after that point, big finish audios with her in it are not canon until they are explicitly mentioned by alpha canon material (the TV show)
This is the law of two way canoning
>It is currently undeterminable whether the lucie mentioned in Night is the one from big finish audios.
>being this autistic
>The doctor having a companion named Lucie is canon. It is currently undeterminable whether the lucie mentioned in Night is the one from big finish audios.
But... who else would it be? Who else but Lucie BLEEDIN' Miller?
I understand your reference to a past event and acknowledge you for it. Well meme'd, my friend.
I don't understand why star wars fans treat all EU material as canon by default without question regardless of how pants on head retarded it is
The doctor who fanbase is significantly better because we actually have guidelines and standards to determine what is canon and what is not
Isn't it the reverse?
Doctor Who is technically anything goes in the fandom especially now with Big Finish and Star Wars was supposed to have canon tiers until Disney bought it out
I always thought that DW is much more relaxed especially when stuff like Human Nature gets adapted and characters intersect between all the different media.
>When are they gonna have a young one again?
You're asking that as if /who/ knows. Capaldi renewed his contract for series 10 and will eventually be given the choice to renew it again for series 11, they won't start casting a new Doctor until Capaldi is set to leave. It's impossible to know when we'll get another young Doctor, but the rest of us will find out the exact same time as you. Maybe think about your questions before posting next time.
The VNAs were licensed by the BBC as an official continuation of the TV series you silly bitch.
>If the original book was canon they couldn't have done an episode of it with a later doctor
They can do whatever they want senpai.
Danny noticed that the steamy, damp, dimly lit room smelled like sweaty bodies as he took in a deep breath and opened his eyes. He was surrounded by stacks upon stacks of Rigsy's damp towels. The strong aroma made him smile as he slowly shuffled near one of the stacks.
He could feel the warmth against his naked body as he began to chant quietly "I'm hot 'n ready... hot 'n ready... hot 'n ready..." He picked up a large face washer from the succulent John Lewis® towel and pressed it face-down against his hairy chest -- smearing it around and leaving Rigsy's sweat dripping down his own sweaty body. He continued grabbing more towels and rubbing them against his chest -- chanting "So hot 'n ready!" louder and louder. Eventually the sweat pooled up and ran down his chest, coating his mane of pubic hair.
This pleased Danny very much as he began stroking his engorged member. As the smell of body odour hit his nostrils and the sweat poured off of his gleaming body he was brought closer and closer to the point of orgasm.
All of a sudden Danny snapped out of it and realized that he was not in the mecca of towels -- he was instead lying in the middle of the road after being hit by a car. At that moment he remembered what he was supposed to be doing and did what he did best. "I WAS A SOLDIER" he yelled... still trying to hide his raging erection.
According to what?
I don't mind him but I sincerely hope that capaldi is staying around for longer
I think capaldi might be the first time I'm legitimately upset when a doctor leaves and not just 'well it was going to happen eventually'
ohgodkillme near constant 3/10
>Coleman only seen for one brief moment
9/10 holy shit Capaldi is good when he's not playing second banana to Coleman
FUCK YOU MOFFAT YOU FUCKING HACK
The Doctor is only Grandfather Paradox in The Ancestor Cell, which is maximum non-canon. Destroying Gallifrey? Seriously?
Grandfather Paradox is not one of the Celestis. The Celestis removed their past but left their meaning. Anybody can remove their whole existence from time, and it's not difficult to survive it either.
>The Doctor is only Grandfather Paradox in The Ancestor Cell, which is maximum non-canon.
seems appropriate for the Grandfather to show his face there. Canon works wouldn't be able to handle his presence.
LAST CHRISTMAS? MORE LIKE GAYEST CHRISTMAS.
A NAN WANTED TO BE A SCIENTIST? REALLY?WHY WOULD THE MONSTERS MAKE THEMSELVES AWARE THAT THEY EXIST IN THE DREAM? DON'T GIVE ME THAT SUBCONSCIOUS shit they knew exactly what they looked like despite all being taken when asleep. Fucking ridiculous. And Santa too was also dumb as shit. Don't even get me started on Capildi (who's Italian NOT Scottish) acting like a retard on the sleigh.Too much this doctor is acting like a retard. And his Clara obsession is ridiculous, she's been around long enough she needs to fucking go. I was so happy when she was like 80 I thought fucking finally but then another twist and she's alive. Pissed me off almost as much as Harry Potter still being alive at the end of the books when you blatantly show him dying.British writers should just stop doing sci-fi fantasy if this is the shit they are going to make.Fucking Clara. Fuck Clara. Annoying bint.
At least Tennant could handle a xmas special by himself, this Capildi runs to Clara within 5 minutes WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT MOFFAT.
Really ruined my christmas tv this episode did.
I'll admit I haven't seen it since it aired, but doesn't he just basically shout the monsters back to 2D world or something? It seemed like a pretty weak resolution at the time. I expected more from the guy who wrote pretty much the GOAT episode of the Moffat era (Mummy). I also expected more as a
No. Well not this one anyway, which is the one Heaven Sent rips off (the bit starts around 2:30 I think).
Who cares? It's like Moffat ripping off himself in Husbands. The scene in the restaurant where it's revealed they're not customers is the exact same as the one in Deep Breath where they realise they're all puppets.
That's one of my favourite Tennant episodes along with Pompeii, Tooth and Claw, Satan two parter, Smith and Jones, Human Nature/Family of Blood, Partners in Crime, Library two parter and Waters of Mars.
The start of this song is literally 'Altering Fates' from Waters of Mars with an extra vocal layer
I do see what you mean though, the bit at 2:30 is certainly near identical to Heaven Sent. Marigold probably chose to use it (and slightly modify it because he thought of some better parts) since it didn't end up getting put in Day and it's really quite nice and deserved to be heard
Amy is the obvious choice for hottest NuWho companion. She's basically a redheaded sexmachine.
Although, and I can't seem to stress this enough Victoria is
official hottest companion
So I still haven't watched it, and it looks like a lot of other people couldn't be arsed either.
When I look back at Steven Moffats entire output including Press Gang,Chalk,Coupling & Joking Apart the only things of his I have ever enjoyed were The Empty Child/Doctor Dances & Blink. the rest of it ranges between god awful and meh.
I could watch Coupling and Press Gang all day. Especially episodes like Monday/Tuesday and My Best Friends Bottom.
"Think about what you're saying to someone, it may be the last thing they hear"
This is my biggest problem with Moffat as well. A lot of his dialogue tries so hard to be clever that it ends up annoying me.
You're not the only one. Plenty of people seem to be having trouble posting with Firefox.
The new companion has been announced!
Her character was a bit bland in a very forgettable episode so I hope she plays someone else.
I remember seeing a YouTube video last year where someone combined a bunch of unrelated Doctor Who footage in amusing ways. There was a bit an old clip of McCoy during an in-character interview saying "I've just been to the year 2015 and you won't believe what you're doing", then I think it cut to something from the new series. The whole thing might have been some sort of music video. Anyone remember what it's called?
>I've come to find that the fans are extremely dedicated and loyal
>Proceed to show shots of Tumblrettes cosplaying
why even live familia?
So I just started with this series (1963 first) and finished season 1. I really liked the episode with the Daleks and of course the first episode, but when can I expect again something good like that Dalek episodes?
>people thought it would be a hallucination
>people firmly believed she was dead and gone from the show after Face the Raven
>people actually fell for Moffat's trick, AGAIN
>people on /who/ argued that she really was gone and it was a ghost or a hallucination
Denial fags BTFO hahaha. I was the Daily Reminder anon and I was laughing my ass off. I wonder where they are now.
>people thought Moffat would let Dollard kill her off
i liked the romans
if you want to still watch classic who though you could skip to the first episode of the third doctor
its when the show goes to color, there's no more missing episodes and pertwees run is generally considered to be pretty solid.
you could watch the revival too, series 5 is pretty good.
>sci fi magic
>"that's just not possible"
You literally sound like Clara in the 50th, bro.
>The human race was always your favourite, Doctor. But now, there is no human race. There is only the Master race
why? i get they were going for something ridiculous but its not even funny. its just stupid.
The last four episodes of series 2 (The Time Meddler) are worth looking forward to imo. Also be warned, seasons 3 to 5 have a hell of a lot of episodes missing.
What did you think of the story about the Aztecs? It's generally considered one of the best of the early seasons.
I didn't mind it that much, seeing John Simm in all those different outfits was neat. I find it much more jarring how the plot device of the week basically goes from elixir-of-life to global-brainwash-machine. How do you make such a large jump? In general, how do you go from rich guy who is seeking immortality to the return of the Time Lords? Nothing builds up on top of one another in that story, it's just random stuff happening without rhyme or reason.
>So I just started with this series (1963 first)
The correct way to watch DW. Good job, anon.
>when can I expect again something good like that Dalek episodes?
I guess it depends on what you like, there's a lot of variety in the early seasons. The Daleks appear pretty frequently until season 5 and most of their stories are pretty good so that should be good news for you. My favorite of season 2 is probably The Romans, a fun comedy historical.
No, it builds perfectly.
Mater gets his grabby hands to a machine that rewrites living organism -> Makes it so all the organisms are his copies, down to brains -> So they are also his mental copies -> The drums are now amplified enough to be heard by Time Lords or some shit
Such ability is not something that should be tossed into stories casually but that's beyond the point.
>being this proud of being right about a Chinese fantasy program on a Brazilian morse code chatroom
Pathetic desu. And yes, I hoped she was really dead but I never had any strong beliefs one way or the other.
What makes me really angry about it is this scene from Heaven Sent:
>DOCTOR: But I can remember, Clara. You don't understand, I can remember it all. Every time. And you'll still be gone. Whatever I do, you still won't be there.
>(He sits on the stairs to the lower level, distraught.)
>CLARA [OC]: Doctor, you are not the only person who ever lost someone. It's the story of everybody. Get over it. Beat it. Break free.
>(Her hand touches his cheek.)
>CLARA:Doctor, it's time.Get up, off your arse, and win!
Moffat made it look like Heaven Sent was about the Doctor accepting that Clara was dead and getting over it, then pissed on that in the very next episode.
Moffat and writers of Series 10, I serve notice on you all,
Too long you have given us shit episodes. Too long you have written dark episodes. No more.
Here's a list of things you must absolutely add in the next series.
I want more space battles. I want more historical episodes like in Ancient Egypt or meeting famous people. I want present based episode but not in the UK, go in France or something. I want a funny companion.
HEAR ME MOFFAT, OR YOU WILL KILL DOCTOR WHO
That's not the point.
The point is that Clara's speech in that scene makes it look like his victory in Heaven Sent comes as a result of him accepting her death, when in Hell Bent we're told that it's the exact opposite, that he did everything to save Clara.
The end result is the same, but it does feel inconsistent.
The next companion will be a female recluse who is slight on autism spectrum.
I hope you enjoy her anon.
>I used to look at the forums back in the day before I took over the show. People were aiming invective at Russell all the time and were quite nice to me. But when I took over the show, I left it two weeks and watched what happened. And without having done a thing, I was already a hateful, terrible man. With various agendas. No, you can’t go on those things. Apart from anything else, they are entitled, are they not, to have their pub conversation without me eavesdropping. They’re entitled to say “I hate that guy and they’re doing it all wrong”, because that’s what we all do when we go down the pub. That’s fine. We shouldn’t be eavesdropping on those conversations.
>Do the fans expect you to listen to them: No. Absolutely not. I’ve been a fan of the show. I am a fan, it’s just complicated at the minute. The fans don’t think they should be running the show. They don’t think I should listen. And what they always say when you ask them is no, ignore us, we’re having fun. What the fans want and what I want is to appeal to a mainstream audience and have a massively successful show that they can – in the privacy of their own homes and forums – complain about.
