Transparent is really good. With the subject, it took me by surprise how funny it often is. Probably the best dramedy of last couple years.

I actually saw it won an Emmy for best Comedy or something along these lines, and thought it was a comedy series and downloaded it.
And it wasn't. It was a proper drama and I loved it. It is funny at times, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it a dreamedy(OITNB, that's kind of a dramedy for me)

I consider it a comedy if only because it is funny how fucked up things that could be enough for an entire city occurs with just this one family.

the son's story about his girlfriend being immature and going for abortion was the hardest segment for me.
