Jeffrey Combs edition
Hey man, could you stop putting "General" in the OP? It doesn't promote discussion and it only invited redditors and casuals.
see: /got/ or /who/
this is exactly what I'm talking about
Is it so difficult to watch an episode of a series you love and form your own opinion on it? Why would you let someone else's preferences form your taste?
That's not how you start a Star Trek thread.
This is how you start a Trek thread:
Remember that time when Worf broke his spine and Crusher would rather he died slowly with no honour than try an experimental treatment?
Well in that case you should learn to use google. I am quite certain there are dozens of viewing guides out there.
>this is the only episode where Combs (Weyoun/Brunt) and Hertzler (Martok/Laas) are in the same room as each other
>overshadowed by The Rock
Th-th-thanks Berman, thanks Braga, thanks UPN.
As an oldfag (been here since winter 2014) I have seen star trek threads mutate and evolve in all sorts of different ways. Maybe now is the time for a general, who knows? In my time here Ive learned to just go with the flow and see what happens.

>right: Enterprise-D 4 foot model, built by Greg Jein and filmed by Image G
At least they tried to match the lighting on both for the blu-rays, but you can still see how ugly the one on the right is.
reposting from earlier today:
i'm the anon that started enterprise recently, having never seen that series. been kinda meh so far, but just saw the andorian incident. finally, a GOOD episode, where the bad guys werent just feral humans who turn out to be good or lolhallucinations. looking forward to more blueman group.
the scene with t'pol and archer sharing a blanket was cringy as shit though.
ADD ON: i -just- woke up (worked overnight), and guess who had a dream set in the same episode. i dreamt the vulcan monks made everyone from enterprise a feast since we all got off the ship and were eating in the grassy hills outside the monastery, the snow having melted. there was workout equipment which everyone was happy about instead of being cooped up in the ship. the portions were tiny but delicious, and when i got a plat with some creamy taco things and a bowl of spinach soup, t'pol expressed interest in the soup as in "is that spinach soup" so i gave it to her instead of the other guys crowding around me and she ate it while the other crewmen and i shared the taco stuff.... i dreamt i shared food with t'pol :(
i dont care. i dreamt about my new waifu. stay jelly
did that really happen? what the fuck happened in the story?
I've browsed /tv/ since ~2011, but only got into Trek in the last year or so. I started roposting mostly as an excuse to participate in threads. Only about 30% of my posts are Ro.
Generals only invite cancer. Look at any general on any board. It's always shit and never promotes actual discussion.
are you ro poster then? i've been on trek threads since about 2014 as well. i'm writes like a pakled guy, jeri and jolene spammer, cardboard data poster, pew pew boom guy (one of them), and this is my OC. i'm outing myself right now but i know some ds9ers hate me so...
>i'm writes like a pakled guy,
This is the most offensive issue of all. People who don't write like adults should go back to Facebook and Twitter.
People like you don't exist in Gene's Vision.
i usually just write without capitalization, but really bump it upw hen it offends someone and they call me out on it. i also write with proper punctuation and capitalization sometimes but not usually. also, i'm not the only one who writes without capitalization in these threads. the real hate comes from ds9ers, especially back when these things got real virulent like about a year ago or so.
I've watched all of TNG, up to S3E23 of DS9 and I'm almost done with TOS. TOS is probably my favorite Trek so far. I'm probably going to watch the TOS films and then continue with DS9.
Yeah it's me. I recognize a lot of your stuff buddy.
Why the fuck are you guys trying to force trek thread intensities onto yourselves? That's totaly contrary to the nature of 4chan. Might as well get Reddit flairs and trip codes if you need attention that Badly. Also none of these posts are trek related at all, just bullshit metathread analysis by people who admit to being here since only 2014 and want to feel like oldfags.
God the six foot model was so sexy. The alternate future ent D with the giant phaser cannon and extra nacell was based off the four foot model and it looked pretty good, but you're right in your picture it looks clunky as hell.
Yeah, and the saucer section on the four is just not as elegant, the curve out to the rim is like a hemisphere on top of a saucer instead of a nice continuous curve like on the six.
hey new friend, i;m not trying to force anything. i just think its funny some people can be recognized by how they always post, such as the rooster, so i'm talking to him to let him know who i am. if you're so butthurt at the conversation, may i suggest you leave and come back in another thread, where we don't talk about it? then you won't be anally devastated. also, welcome to trek threads, faggot.
>What if we started replacing all the crew who left, some with new faces, some with old?
>What if we started exploring the Gamma Quadrant again?
>What if we picked up old plot threads, like Bajor joining the Federation or those body-controlling parasites from TNG?
>WHAT IF SELA BLEW UP DEEP SPACE NINE?
>What if we used quantum slipstream drive to send a fleet of ships back to the Delta Quadrant?
>What if we started reestablishing contact with old characters, and meeting new characters that we missed on the first Delta Quadrant journey?
>What if the characters started getting promoted, forming families and moving on with their lives?
>WHAT IF JANEWAY BECAME THE NEW BORG QUEEN, THEN BLEW UP, AND THEN WAS MADE INTO A Q?
>AND THEN SEVEN OF NINE MERGES WITH A PLANET EATER AND BEGINS CALLING HERSELF SEVEN OF ONE?
The book in question is Star Trek: The Next Generation: Before Dishonor.
So as someone who never actually read any Star Trek novels, the TNG bits confirm my reasoning for sticking with the shows, and older movies.
Pretty much the only non-show/movie piece of Star Trek canon I know of, that I like is the whole V'Ger/Borg thing, but I'm not even sure where that's from, originally.
>Remember that time when Worf broke his spine and Crusher would rather he died slowly with no honour than try an experimental treatment?
>it's a Worf broke his spine and Crusher would rather he died slowly with no honour than try an experimental treatment episode
>"Chief, do you remember the time I broke my spine, and Dr. Crusher tried to prevent my only hope of a fulfilling life from a Klingon point of view?"
>"We were like warriors of the ancient sagas. There was nothing we could not do."
>in charge of making decisions about anything
>got herself kidnapped by terrorists by disobeying orders
>meanwhile Worf performed perhaps the only extraction of a POW from a Borg cube in the history of the Borg conquests of tens of thousands of worlds — using nothing but a robot, a frequency-modulated phaser, and his penis — and he's not even allowed to select between treatment Option A and treatment Option B when told the risk factors
