One of the best horror films ever. So many god tier scenes

Fantastic showing of pretty much every in camera special effect you can do. Pretty brilliant fantasy with the kinds of horror only a kid can come up with. Really weird and delightful and interesting.

Very fun. The visuals reminded me of Kwaidan, but with a more neon look.
The characters are great, in the cartoonish 'every character has a special personality matching feelings' kind of way. Karate girl is cute.

But honestly OP, what did you expect? It's a Japanese movie from 1977 that has received huge cult status - of course it's going to be wacky over the top horror.
