Truly incredible. Really makes you appreciate Lucas's artistic and cinematographic direction for all 6 films. This was beautiful poetry. The love and attention to detail that George Lucas and the rest of the artists who created these movies put into telling the story of two generations of the Skywalker family is truly a marvel. Jar Jar is the key. Thank you for putting these scenes together to demonstrate this. Thank you George. Everywhere I look prequel fans are standing up for the first time since the first movie. Let's make our voice heard. May the Force be with you and hopefully the upcoming new generation of the Star Wars Saga pays just as much tribute to the original and prequel trilogies as this video so wonderfully demonstrates.

TFA is a JJ shitfest filled with action to distract you from the shitty/nonexistent plot. However, it's a decent movie in its own right.

That being said the prequels are still shitty. But TFA could've benefited greatly from Georgie Pordgies input.

I'm very sorry but no. You might feel better thinking this, but it is utterly wrong. JJ has always been a shit movie director, a shit writer and is in the unique seat of having pissed off 3 different franchises fan bases so far.

Lucas is clearly under-credited for his technological push. Just 15 years ago Hollywood directors and producers were calling him mad with his full digital pipeline vision. He probably is the biggest visionaire the industry ever had, at the very fucking least on the technical side of things. What has JJ ever done? promoting lens flares?

We can debate all you want about the mistakes in the prequels, but the fact is Lucas is the most successful independent director in history. So successful in fact he said fuck you to the director's guild when they asked him to change the opening credits in star wars, and went to create his own independent studio with his own cash because he wouldn't take shit any more from the suits in Hollywood.

/tv/ didn't wait for TFA to take a shit into JJ's throat. Anyone who was around when the final LOST episode was aired knows it was a shitstorm on par with TFA quite honestly. /tv/ has had hundreds of threads in the last few years predicting TFA's catastrophy. There never was a debate if it was going to be popular or not: it's bloody star wars ffs.
