What is confirmed for Season 6?
Also, Mods and Janitors, can you please sort out that one obsessive person who comes into any Game of Thrones related thread and spams and antagonizes people. Thanks.
Obviously, Dungeons and Dragons are in charge. And most of S06 is OC.
>implying S5 wasn't literally fan fiction
I don't think it'll be that OC, honestly. I mean, they still have to cover Bran, the Kingsmoot, Griff (are they even doing that?) and a lot of other shit. A lot of stuff has been bypassed in S5.
Yeah, because Dorne was adapted right? That wasn't OC? And considerably fucking longer than Hardhome, might I add. Fuck.
Hardhome wasn't even that good. It felt like a desperate attempt to redeem a season that was otherwise pure and utter shit.
How the fuck would you know what purpose he has when the series has yet to finish and we've barely seen anything from Griff and Old Griff?
Or are you implying that the old man would randomly add a new character and POV when he's already short on time and desperate to fit everything into the books he's got left? And that - just to add a red herring?
What a retarded thing to say, honestly.
what did she mean by this?
Feels like home.
>Tfw Robert gets ressurected
>Tfw he's Azor Ahai
>Ned just awkwardly stood there
Is he autistic? Robert sounds like a GOAT friend to have
Never though I'd see that again. Relax though, we're still on thin ice.
I know it's a meme and the picture was probably made by an autistic weeboofag.
But I do have a theory of why Jon gave her that present. It is not because he sincerely appreciate her enthusiasm for wanting to be among the boys, especially their love for swordfighting; but he is secretly telling her that when she is of age, he really want to fuck her brains out.
When people like the Starks are all cooped up in that castle of theirs, even their brothers and sisters start to look good. Amirite, Amirite?
>He wont have any significance to the ultimate finale, I can say that with all honesty
We have no idea what significance Aegon/JonCon will play in the ultimate finale. Maybe we never will if Gurm dies
You realize he already wrote all that shit down, right? I mean just because the books aren't finished, doesn't mean the plot is left undone. He's probably already arranged for who will write it in his stead if he does die.
He did. That makes me worried for some reason.
Right, but they've already changed some and Gurm has already said decisions they have made in the show mean things will not be exactly the same.
It's entirely plausible that for example Griff could marry Dany and rule, but D&D love Dany so much they just combine them and have Dany rule on her own
They already combined JonCon's storyline with Jorah, combining Dany with young Griff makes sense too
sure it won't be exactly the same but i'm sure they will still stick to the main plot. it's very likely they drop or combine characters simply because they really don't mean jack shit in the grand scheme of things.
Are you serious? Wow, I already had so little respect for him, now I have even less.
>main plot points
How pleb can you be? Just because something happens doesn't mean shit. Jaime lost his hand in the show, but since they failed to give him the full arc, it was basically utterly meaningless.
D&D are total hacks and the adaptation past S1 is a terrible.
>D&D are total hacks and the adaptation past S1 is a terrible.
I thought up to The Red Wedding was alright.
Oh, you mean except that part where it changes his entire outlook on life and he decides to go back to being honorable which causes a split between him and Cersei, the only person he's ever loved?
Yeah, it really didn't mean shit. Go fuck yourself.
What was your reaction when watching Stannis Baratheon's last stand?
Dude, I can blame him. Speaking as an author (tips fedora), it's really not about him anymore. This is the same thing about Star Wars and Lucas (albeit to a lesser extent). Sure he might've created ASoIaF, but it belongs to all of us now. To say that you won't end something you started even posthumously, when millions of people on this planet trusted you and put their faith in you is plain selfish.
And I don't mean to sound like a judgmental douche, but his writing isn't all that special. He's no master prose writer that hides ten layers in every sentence, and who has a master control over the flow of his words. He's pretty much bad to average.
So, yes, I can really blame him. Then again I also think that not releasing a book for almost ten fucking years should be crime.
I wish I were a fan of anything else, but I chose this, and that piece of shit Hiatus x Hiatus franchise to go along with it.
>Speaking as an author (tips fed-
Stopped reading right there.
That's exactly my point... If you miss the context and meaning of the events, just having them happen is pretty much meaningless.
We could both agree on the identical plot points of a story right now, and if we went to write it, we'd come back with completely different narratives, because we're telling different things with those elements of the plot.
In ASoIaF, leaving aside some meandering chapters, things happen for a reason, and there's consequences.
In D&D, things just happen.
it's a fucking side story meant to be filler and has nothing to do with the main plot. the outcome of Jamie's story does not mean a single fucking thing
i don't really like him but it was alright, just wish they actually showed his death
>it's a fucking side story meant to be filler and has nothing to do with the main plot. the outcome of Jamie's story does not mean a single fucking thing
You are such a pleb, holy shit. I am literally speechless. I hope one day you realize just how stupid you're being right now.
i agree but you also have to look at it from his point of view. he doesn't want someone coming in and fucking around with what he dedicated his life to creating. besides the story is secure with the show anyway so even if the books don't finish we'll at least know how things end
>kills his sister
>saves his brother from something terrible in the finale
Doesn't mean anything
I don't know, man. He's so old. How is it possible that by now he has no one that he trusts enough to finish his shit?
I mean, you could easily select some good candidates and put them to the test. You could have instructions beat for beat for everything that has to happen in each chapter.
It's not like he has no alternative, or no way of assuring himself that it will be done right; he's just begin a dick about it.
And for all his bullshit speeches about how the fans are unreasonable, I sincerely think he's not a fan of his own series. Not truly. Which doesn't surprise me one bit because it's natural that you'd get bored of anything that you spend this much time on.
Jaime and Cersei's stuff is way better than the main story, though. Daenerys has done nothing interesting since walking into a fire at the end of aGoT. And hell. Since it looks like Daario and the Harpie shit isn't amounting to anything in the end either, I would say it might have been better to just never see her again after Qarth
it doesn't and the fact you think it does suggests you have some sort of emotional attachment to a fictional character in a fantasy world written by some fat old fuck which of course can only mean you're a women
>You could have instructions beat for beat for everything that has to happen in each chapter
if he has the time to do all that shit he should have the time to just write the fucking books himself
i agree Danny hasn't really done shit and so far has mostly just been filler but she'll still be vital to the ending which is something you can't say about a one handed sister fucker
Jon is stealing Stannis' plot from aDwD and also getting some amount of OC from his rebirth, also he will probably manage to kill the Boltons with Littlefinger's help during the finale and taking Winterfell
Davos gets his chapters from aDwD
Jaime is going to get his plot from aFfC
Brienne is getting her plot from aFfC, except she will now kill Stannis' surviving soldiers instead of the bloody mummers, and might become the Faith's champion instead of the Hound
Arya is covering her preview chapters from tWoW and then maybe getting OC for a couple episodes about escaping from the Faceless Men back to Westeros
Yara/Asha is getting the first half of her chapters from aDwD, but she is going to get part of the Victarion chapters afterwards. Possibly Theon will be thrown there as well.
Bran gets some of the dreams from different characters that D&D never included before. Including the Tower of Joy.
Kelly C, Sneks, Tyrion/Varys, Theon/Sansa, Cersei/High Sparrow, Jorah/Daario, the Boltons, the Tyrells and Littlefinger are getting full OC.
>Daenerys has done nothing interesting since walking into a fire at the end of aGoT
This so fucking much. Her character is just SO shitty.
I sometimes imagine how much better this series would've been if all we got from Daenerys were the same rumors all the people in Westeros were getting, so that it went from "hey niceworldbuilding" to "HOLY SHIT THIS IS AN MC" and then she suddenly shows up with fucking dragons. Ayyy.
The Daenerys chapters are just the fucking worst. Catelyn is a horrible person, and Sansa is dull, but both have things actually happening to them/around them. Jack shit happens in most Dany chapters, beyond her talking about how she feels about the men around her. I honestly think Martin can't write women for shit.
But what is the point of the "main story" if it is boring?
I mean, Jon is not as bad as Bran or Dany, but at the end of the day, I'd rather read about Jaime and Cersei and ignore the comparatively bland and generic "world ending disaster"
Reminder that Stannis is dead and his actor hasn't been seen anywhere near GoT sets
>Jon taking Stannis' plot
FUCK this. Just so D&D can fucking give Jon good storylines because they cannot write for SHIT. Their pulling the same bullshit with Tyrion taking Selmy's role.
>Kelly C, Sneks, Tyrion/Varys, Theon/Sansa, Cersei/High Sparrow, Jorah/Daario, the Boltons, the Tyrells and Littlefinger are getting full OC.
Producers reportedly had Winds of Winter manuscripts on set.
They might be diving into some of those plots, like the siege of Meereen, since Winds opens with Jorah leading a huge battle that's already published in previews.
Reminder pic related his going to happen this season so help me god
>sansa will hold a speech to rally the northmen
whos ready for some high quality cringe
>i agree but you also have to look at it from his point of view
Strongly disagree with this as a something to justify GRRM. When a person acts on only their own point of view, it's called being a selfish person. When you become a person of great following, especially after having specifically perused it, you have a choice to become one of two people, the person who greedily doesn't give a fuck about the people he worked to have follow him, or the content-creator who learns to enjoy satisfying those people. GRRM won't finish his own project on any schedule and has provided zero statement on if it will ever be finished by him before he dies, plus says if he dies the ending should be destroyed, and expects infinite faith from his fans that the thing will be complete. He's selfish. Selfishness is bad. GRRM worked for a following, got it, and then quit because he found he didn't have to work any more. He's a selfish glutton.
He's also so fucking fat. Fat fat fat.
Fat and with no desire to even hide the fact. He's always wearing those tight fucking shirt with suspenders.
Yet, despite his obesity and monstrous face, it's his insanely annoying, nasally voice that I hate the most.
Sansa is queen and Jon is her general, everyone knows this
With Sophies acting """"talent""""" we will get new levels of cringe Kelly C could only dream to accomplish
He doesn't like people fucking around in his own world. He also hates people writing fanfiction about other writer's books, worlds and character.
That and him having a "successor" of sorts would probably to him be admitting that he might not finish and/or that people will be hoping he dies early so the successor can finish faster than GRRM ever could
He's not a good person.
I mean, he's an obese, greedy nerd who has made a fortune writing about underage sex and violence. That's a given, right? Like, the man is a genuine, GENUINE real life creep.
But it's not that which bothers me. That could just be his style, but no, in real life he's still an indulgent, greedy, naive asshole. Why not just get the books written and then live an easy life after? Instead of buckling down, being a man about it and doing some work he lugs his fat fucking ass around the globe because he thinks he deserves respect for something he HASN'T EVEN FINISHED.
Not a lot makes me mad but GRRM makes me fucking MAD.
>underage sex and violence
Tbh senpai that's pretty much what the Middle-Ages were, and what he was trying to stress.
At the same time, it's pretty clear he was into it, because he never misses a chance to describe how women had their nips bitten off or how they're dressed.
It's genuinely difficult to think of a person I dislike more than Martin, except maybe Rothfuss, who deserves to die a thousand deaths.
Thank you old friend. I look forward to the coming season.
>Also, Mods and Janitors, can you please sort out that one obsessive person who comes into any Game of Thrones related thread and spams and antagonizes people. Thanks.
Holy shit, literally kill yourself. If you want a hivemind, go to Reddit, faggot.
>DUDE ITS 303AL WHY DONT YOU HAVE A WOMAN IN CHARGE YET?
not him but i actually do think this
gurm doesn't care anymore and if we even do get the book he will probably have aegon fall off his horse and break his neck or something during the landing to keep things "unpredictable"
I hope we get the crossbow scene we've been longing for.
That would be nice. Small steps, we'll get there eventually.
>Stannis never been known as a good fighter
When has it ever been said that he's not a fighter. His brother was notorious as a great warrior but I don't think anyone has ever mentioned anything about Stannis. He just seems to sit in his brother's shadow.
> GRRM too hung up on football, the Hugos, and Sebiel's cavernous cooter to show some work ethic the first time in his life and finish his 25 year-old story.
> D&D completely on their own and moving characters around to save money and fucking up all the their ' motivation to the point where none of them know whether to shit or go sailing.
> Greyjoys sailing without Vicky as if they can be nothing but comic relief after The Doggie Incident.
I don't know, I might actually drop the show. After Bad Pussy, and The Cock Merchant I don't think I can stomach a season as bad as that again.
Stannis is not dead! My proof: Brienne. The way D&D write her, she always wins the fight, she's never wrong, and she always gets the last word. STANNIS GOT THE LAST WORD! No way is that going to fly! Season Six will have a whole episode of Brienne smacking Stannis around while saving his life (and Sansa's) and talking shit while Stannis grinds his teeth.
It's best to prepare yourself for both outcomes.
>He's not kill
There's a thin line to tread between "creep" and "literary genius".
You could write your pedo bathhouse chronicle and be lauded as a fucking visionary, as long as you mixed it with political intrigue and brutality.
grrm worked on a blog post whole day. WHOLE FUCKING DAY MAN. I wonder how often he does this.. and then he accidentally deleted it HAHAHAHAHAHA this explains literally everything.
>What is confirmed for Season 6?
The rest of the Starks get killed?
The main story is the intrigue and downfall of these noblemen, it has very little to do with the zombie apocalypse and shit which is more of a framing device.
You're a god damn philistine.
This was made by a an old /got/ brother
So how long until GRRM's computer craps out or a fire happens in his writing house and he loses almost everything and is so distraught over losing his figurines that he officially suspends writing the books?
Please don't say things like this. You'll make me fucking paranoid.
Gurm is not really enjoying his fortune, though. Most of his money goes to animal care foundations, while he still lives in a regular suburb house. What Gurm is enjoying is his fame. He loves being a meme, hanging out with TV celebrities and going to conventions where fans clamor for him. And he knows people will pay him less attention after the ASOIAF books are finished, which is why they will never be finished.
He was an amazing strategist and naval commander. Wasn't he also head of the charge at Pyke (or Pike or whatever) when the Ironborn rebelled? after crushing their fleet that was twice his number?
>And finally, after all these years of meticulous planning... A Feast For Crows™ shall begin.
>And we will play the famed Game of Thrones.
Ramsay is over powered, can't wait to see him get btfo next season.
He has one asshole he knows that works on it. He even dedicated one his books to the guy.
Probably looks like pic related.
these brave warriors actually came to Westeros from beyond the wall when Mance Rayder send them with Jon and Tormund. Cant remember the episode (early season 3) but 20 good men are mentioned. Bronn also knew that half of these unstoppable machines (10 good man) could easily assault Eyrie in season 1. These guys are legendary
I miss off season /got/, any chance it'll come back?
Nah senpai, there are different leagues of good men.
Wildling ones are pretty good, but didn't know the land south of the wall or the wall itself, and most died.
Bronn's 10 good men would've been Vale men, who knowing the land and castle, definitely would've impregnated the bitch.
Ramsay's 20 good northern men, know the North and were thus able to defeat stannis's army.
What I'm saying is, there are good men for each territory.
They were actually the brothers Twenty and Ten from the small house of Goodman. Their sigil was that of the gorilla, and they had been trained extensively in guerrilla warfare since they were young.
Any legit date for next book?
is fat degenerate going to public it this year?
