Dude, I can blame him. Speaking as an author (tips fedora), it's really not about him anymore. This is the same thing about Star Wars and Lucas (albeit to a lesser extent). Sure he might've created ASoIaF, but it belongs to all of us now. To say that you won't end something you started even posthumously, when millions of people on this planet trusted you and put their faith in you is plain selfish.

And I don't mean to sound like a judgmental douche, but his writing isn't all that special. He's no master prose writer that hides ten layers in every sentence, and who has a master control over the flow of his words. He's pretty much bad to average.

So, yes, I can really blame him. Then again I also think that not releasing a book for almost ten fucking years should be crime.

I wish I were a fan of anything else, but I chose this, and that piece of shit Hiatus x Hiatus franchise to go along with it.

these brave warriors actually came to Westeros from beyond the wall when Mance Rayder send them with Jon and Tormund. Cant remember the episode (early season 3) but 20 good men are mentioned.
