Can someone explain why people find Monty Python funny? Why is it considered "intellectual" humor?
To begin, explain the humor of this quote:
>We are no longer the knights who say Ni! We are now the knights who say ekki-ekki-ekki-pitang-zoom-boing!
What is funny about it?
Who considers it "intellectual" humor?
It's just absurd and silly.

Don't associate the people who watch the film with the nature of the film silly billy.

For the British accent I suppose.
ITT: Actors/Actresses that are known for being assholes off the camera
>>87622712
Mike Myers, obviously
Chevy Chase
Christian Bale FUCKING LIGHTS DOWN
Robert De Niro if he doesn't consider you high status
Bruce Willis
Russel Crowe
Leonardo Dicaprio if he doesn't consider you high status (or he simply won't even work for anything less than the best)
Denzel Washington (stories of people on production crews getting fired if they even by accident look at him on set)
Steven Seagal
Shia Labouef
That bitch who starred in romantic comedies, forget her cunt name, Heigl?
Jenniffer Lopez

I was pretty disappointed when I found out MM was an asshole but it actually makes sense. Everything he makes is a massive landmark hit.(except love guru).
You can't have that kind of success without turning into a bit of a douche.
Bruce Willis
Charlie Chaplin
Jackie Chan
Is this actually good or what?
There is a good reason it got axed
It's aged like shit
It is top tier comfy.
H-how accurate to real life is this shit?
Decently accurate. Heavily embelished

Fucking kys for using this gay stutter anime shit in a Pablo thread
>>87622426
S-sorry anon

>>87622304
IT actually went up to $123 million for the weekend too
>>87622304
Yeah, how is the emoji movie still in theaters?
Not really. Its been an intensely shitty year for movies. It2017 isn't any better, but on the surface its not superhero-movie 37-B, even though that's how the movie actually plays out, with jumpscares and kids in underwear.
I think she's an underrated actress and deserves to get more/better roles. Hopefully Glow will lead to bigger things for her.
do you ?
or do you just like her breasts
Post the whole thing, damnit.

Her boobs are nice, but her ass is amazing.
>"There is no me."
What did Jim Carrey mean by this? Has he been drinking too much ayahuasca?
https://consequenceofsound.net/2017/09/there-is-no-me-jim-carrey-got-weirdly-existential-in-fashion-week-red-carpet-interview-watch/

He means Hollywood is nothing but smoke and mirrors used to support various political objectives.
>>87622210
>There is no me.
oh it shows jim, it shows
>>87622210
He's having an existential crisis because he's washed up and wants attention
The reason he's criticising Hollywood is because he's no longer in Hollywood. Cognitive dissonance.
Just leave him and he'll no doubt commit suicide in about 3 years.
ITT: Broadway musicals you want to see get a big screen adaptationbecause oh my fucking God, Hamilton tickets are so goddamn expensive.
Pic related.
>tfw you'll never see Benedict Cumberbatch or Martin Freeman in drag as Miss Trunchbull
>tfw you'll never see Mara Wilson return to Matilda as Miss Honey
>tfw you'll never see a young Millie Bobby Brown as Matilda(and yes, she's now too old for the role)Also, Hamilton is meh, Tim Minchin is better
>>87623119
Is this any good?
>>87622078
I want to direct adaptations of Company and Purlie.
Are you guys excited to see The Last Jedi? I personally am very happy that Disney will be giving LGBT people more representation in the gigantic Star Wars universe.
The Purple Menace stalks the stars, engulfing great planets in its wake. Its hunger is infinite and draws the cries of infinity in its shadow. Aeons have passed since It has drifted by our galaxy, but ever closer does it draw its bloated form as it shambles from the dark gulfs of the cosmos leaving only madness in its wake.
Wow, I sure care about a side-characters sexuality in comparison to what the fuck the FO is and why they were being opposed by le resistance.

Shut up goyim go watch our movie and don't question the plot holes
Ludicrously late to the game, but I just finished the first season of this. The twist got me, mostly because I'd considered it and thrown it away earlier because of how consistent Michael's portrayal of a wholesome architect was.
>>87621899
Is this that horrible new NBC show? I couldn't even finish the pilot. What was the twist?
Could it be she was inthe bad place?
>>87621899
what show is this thread about ? are you talking about The Good Place ?
because i just found out about it right now, was reading about it on wikipedia as i saw this. was gonna ask if its worth watching. need a good comedy to pick up.
>>87621967
Yeah. It's an obvious twist, and there are plenty of hints, but the number of people who had to be in on it seemed too big for me to take seriously. Turns out the entire neighborhood, except for the main four characters, are all staff
Can we get some love for this magnificent bastard?
>Buscemi was a New York City firefighter from 1980 to 1984, with Engine Company No. 55, in the Little Italy section of New York. He showed up at his old firehouse the day after the 9/11 attacks in New York to volunteer, working twelve-hour shifts for a week, and digging through rubble looking for missing firefighters.
How come this is posted every year?
When the firefighters got their paychecks, the first thing he bought was a hot dinner.
>>87621536
Shut the fuck up donny
How would you rate this movie?
Nein
>>87621504

I wonder what the difference in taste in his mussy was.
This one scene always bothered me about the matrix.
Why did Morpheus scream and do like this prayer stance before jumping through the wall
