Is there a movie he's starred in that he doesn't hate?
What's his problem?
He's just a normal person who hates his job but does it anyway, except his job pays exceptionally well.

being grouchy is his schtick, he does it to mask the crippling social anxiety he gets from doing interviews and going on talk shows
he's also just a no-nonsense, old fashioned American guy who has been in a lot of shit nerds like. He probably doesn't understand the cult status any of his characters or movies have achieved and thinks all of us should get a job and move out of our parents house.
>>87167138
So you mean he's a normal, self made man.
And he's right.
talk about film noir
Okay. Uhh... The Maltese Falcon is actually more like "proto-noir", not yet distinctive enough to define an entire genre (even though some people, like Steve Neal, would argue that 'film noir' cannot be regarded as a proper genre to start with) but sowing the seeds, if you will.
The definitive Bogey-fronted film noir would be The Big Sleep. And I guess the first film that really CONSCIOUSLY pushed every noir-button might've been Out of the Past.

You already know
Just finished season 3 and im impressed.
i thought it will drop in quality after pablos death, but it didnt. The pacing felt a little off sometimes but even that was not a problem at all.
what i found most interesting is that i had sympathie for both sides and was unsure who to root for. pablo himself was portrayed very charismatic, but he was just a massmurderer, it was easy to see him as a villain.
but the cali cartel didnt seem like villains, they were just businessmen, which made it harder to root for the DEA.
Overall great show, looking forward to the next season.best show on netflix, with not much competition if you dont count documentaries like chefs table

Also: why was he such a cunt?
I had my doubts abut Peña as narrator but I was pleasantly surprised.
Loving it so far. Thin Pablo is my favourite, also Pacho is the new Omar.
