DUDE FORCED RIVALRY LMAO
>>82109298
It isn't a rivalry, SG-1 is better
Farscape is for manchildren that watch capeshit, rygel is literally a handpuppet all the characters look like they are supposed to be in a childrens show (which they are)
How did this show even get 4 seasons?

dropped
Yes it was. Baldwin being a unique and somewhat controversial public figure who was articulate and a great debater with TONS of interviews and speeches and public appearances made him a perfect documentary subject. The documentarian knocked it out of the park.
Shame that /tv/ is an unusable shit hole because a few years ago we could have had a real thread and an actual discussion about this.

Why do race relations keep clinging to the past instead of working towards the future in the United States?
Is Kim going to hire Ernesto as an assistant?
nothing ever happens in this show, so no
>>82108976
Nah, we find out Ernesto is actually 20 year-ago Gus and he time-travelled in the future to tear shit up.
Kim wants the BBC to ravage her cunt. She'll make Saul take care of her mulatto son, who grows up to be Huell.

Care to explain?
It's excellent. The story is decent enough, not great, was confused by one or two things in the finale but the show's strength lies in it's atmosphere and scares.
I can only recall two or three jump scares in the whole season. The crew behind this clearly know what they're doing, they definitely know how to do horror. You get scenes where the character will wake up and see one of the villains standing in the corner of his room. The character will be in a stare off against the monster and throughout the whole thing you're expecting the monster to jump out accompanied with a jump scare. But nothing happens. The scene will just end with them staring. This should be the standard of how these sorta scenes should be handled, but in this day and age where horror appeals to the lowest common denominator it's incredibly refreshing to just have the monster standing there in silence and have the scene conclude without a jump scare.
The show is clearly working with a low budget but the production value on the monsters is incredible. Most horror movies nowadays are made for teenagers to make a quick buck. No passion or love for the genre is behind the camera. The movies are made because they know dumbass teenagers will flock to the theater just so they can talk about how hilarious it was when Stacey jumped so hard she spilled her popcorn. They want fast food horror. Quick, cheap jump scares for simpletons. Channel Zero relies on atmosphere and tension. Takes time and intelligence to absorb, but makes for a far more rewarding viewing experience.
Like I said, story isn't perfect but the way the scares are executed and the atmosphere make it worth your time. The show is a great litmus test to determine whether or not someone is a poser when they say they "like" horror, or if they actually genuinely like horror.
>>82109335
Adding to this I'll say the very first scene of the very first episode is a great representation of the show as a whole in terms of how the scares are handled. Just watch the first scene of the first episode. If you thought that was shit, don't watch the rest, stick to your Paranormal Activity trash. If the first scene leaves you impressed, continue on, because that's how the scares are done in this show. The webm that I accidentally spoilered is another great moment. I'm not saying the show is even scary. I wasn't scared, but as I said, if you aren't a poser and you actually like the horror genre you don't need to be scared to enjoy the horror genre. Even when a scare doesn't actually scare you you can still fall in love with the craftsmanship of how the scenes are executed.
I'm not a shill. Just really like this low key show and am pissed that trash like American Horror Story gets millions of viewers.
Nope, it's quite good, I know you saw two retards bickering back and forth in the Stargate thread about how one was tumblr and the other was reddit or some idiocy but you can actually enjoy BOTH shows for different reasons.

>mfw just saw Ben Browder on GoTG2 playing one of the gold alien race with Sebacean accent
what? this show was rad. WHO SPEAKETH ILL OF FARSCAPE?!
What powered Voyager's holodecks? They often talked about Voyager's hologrid as an "independent subsystem", but they never showed what generated the power, like an ore processor or whatever. And those episodes where main power is offline but the holoprojectors are still operational or vice versa show the power systems to be incompatible, as otherwise they could share and ration energy by using transformers to convert the differing voltages and the system wouldn't be, as stated, offline.
The plot reactor. Obviously. The real question is where they kept the reset button.

Entertainment is #1 priority
You need to watch holonovels even if the ship is exploding around you
>They often talked about Voyager's hologrid as an "independent subsystem"
Just the writers giving the middle finger to anyone who ever (rightly) said that holodeck problems could be resolved by cutting the power.
Why they'd need independent power aside from a writer tantrum I don't know.
it's like i'm really on space reddit!
You'd know huh OP.
