I've heard this movie been called a masterpiece but I couldn't help but notice the shit pacing and overall pretentious throughout. Also Nicholson was hamming it up big time.
Was this the beginning of Scorcese's decline?
>>82275993
That's my favorite movie of all time
nicholson is just a hammy actor, many such cases
>>82275993
My favorite Scorsese movie, I loved it
Post underrated kid kino. Has anyone seen this? It's really fucking good. Shame the new Netflix attempt was so garbage.
Netflix series wasn't garbage, but it was very inferior.

The cinematography, set designs and Jim Carrey are fuckin amazing. But the story and main characters are just shit.

You really think so? I thought that the kids were actually pretty remarkable, and this is coming from someone who rarely if ever will stick up for shitty child actors. Story was really intriguing to me as a child so I'd say it's effective too.
i don't get the hate
run rage and house of the dead were really good
>>82275859
hating on boll is a dead meme, he made some shitty movies and some good movies, thy end

For some reason this guy moved to my hometown in Canada. He used to come into the grocery store that I worked at. I shot the shit with him a few times. He's a nice guy, very polite to the employees. Usually he would come in with his wife and infant son, but his wife would usually come shopping alone with the baby during the day. Nice people.

Because for the entirety of the period where videogames were both a niche small enough to be made only of people who genuinely liked games, but big enough to be acknowledged by the public, he had a monopoly on videogame adaptions of movies.
He singlehandedly made a joke out of the concept of movie adaptions, discouraging most people from even attempting them and convincing the investors that it was an artistically dead field only made for cheaply produced action flicks.
That alone would warrant hate, but the burning passion towards him is fueled by his personality.
He was completely unapologetic, and he replied to the almost unanimous disgust towards anything he touched by saying pretty much "I make movies with $5 and make $6. Production is going to keep giving me money as long as I can do that and you nerds can't do anything to stop me"
He deliberately gutted the videogame movie market and then shat on the corpse for the heck of it.
You guys see the newest Leftovers?
I liked this episode but I thought it was gonna be better. I guess Kevin Garvey Sr. wasn't enough to carry a single episode compared to Matt or Nora.

bbbbuuuummmmppp
Really? I thought he was phenomenal. I didn't like or care about the characters when he showed up in previous seasons, yet here he successfully carried the episode by himself and got me so invested that it I felt like I was watching a Matt episode. I enjoyed it a lot.

You're wrong you fucking retard
10 years later and still the best capeshit of all time.
>inb4 reddit
but actually op is entirely correct
Spiderman will always have a place in my heart though
I wish Heath Ledger smiled more, and smacked his lips less. Other then that it's one of my favorite super hero movies.
Well, best DC capeshit, but I'd say this is on the same level.
Is he the only actor never to star in a bad film?
>>82275853
Some autist starts a thread on a dying imageboard in the current year of our lord and that means? What exactly? Canonically nothing...thats right!
>>82275700
Yes. 100% correct. God rest his soul. A once a generation actor that got to fuck Meryl Streep and die from cancer.
>At what point would a real and Good at his job officer of the law realize his own brother was THE BIGGEST DRUG DEALER OF ALL TIME
>>82275686
People like to think the best about their loved ones, its why you always see the family of murderers saying that it came as a surprise and he was a good boy.
>brother
What?

>le epic meme show
take this shit back to r_eddit
>I have a feeling that in a few years people are going to be doing what they always do when the economy tanks. Blaming immigrants and poor people.
What did he mean by this?
He meant that in times of economic hardship, people try to find a scapegoat. Immigrants are an easy target. But in this case the line makes no sense, because when the economy tanked everyone (correctly) blamed Wall Street.
>>82275633
I forgot: Who couldn't pay their mortgage?
That was the worst fucking line in a film full of them
I visibly and un-ironically cringed
Turned the film off not long after
Is this a fucking joke? I thought this was supposed to be one of the best movies of all time? Instead I get DeNiro hamming it up, shit pacing, and pretentiousness? What the fuck was Scorcese thinking?
>>82275622
Go home and get your fucking shinebox OP!
Fuck you dude
>>82275622
it is overrated
The last MCU movie i saw was GOTG.
Can i watch GOTG2 without having to watch all the MCU movies that have taken place in between?
Yes you can, Vol 2 is set in 2014 just a couple of months after Vol 1
Oh yeah, totally. Be prepared for the most laser focussed use of a Cat Stevens song designed to get you cryin' that you've ever seen.
>>82275620
Thankfully yes. The Guardians movies are great because they aren't necessarily cookie-cutter bullshit like the mainline ones. The second one really hits that home.
>mfw movie ends
back to reality
>mfw credits end
i know that pain
Wtf I thought anime was all about underage high school girls made for neets but this shit was legit good. Like I cried twice.

>Worf: Captain, I recommend a full spread of photon torpedoes!
>Picard: Mr. Worf, if I wanted the opinions of a wild beast, I would ask. Now shut your dirty Klingon mouth and don't you dare open it again until I say you should, or I'll be forced to get the painstick again. Is that understood?
>Worf: Captain, I recommend a full spread of photon torpedoes!
>Sisko: Excellent idea, Mr. Worf. And I want you to know just how much I appreciate your counsel and experience. You're a terrific officer and I am privileged to have you under me!
