This movie felt like a 90s anime ova. Any movies out there with a similar vibe?
Is there supposed to be subs for the japanese parts or not?

Masterpieces of Television that will only be truly appreciated once they're off-air and put on Plebflix for the normies to watch. You're missing out on the greatest Kino of our time.
Why aren't you watching the realest show on tv right now?
What could possibly be more important??
Cute chicks, what show?
>Using the term "kino"

>"One can get too familiar with vegetables y'know!"
What did he literally mean by this? Did he expect him to fuck a head of lettuce?
>>82618680
Yes, in the novelization he had to fire the previous garbage boy for fucking some of the vegetables.
Why didn't Remi control Linguini's girlfriend by her hair and shame him by making her expose herself in public to strangers while he looked on in horror?
>>82619014
i assumed that linguini was unique with the hair thing
Since she is not in Breaking Bad... and she loves Saul so much... will she die? Will they kill her off?
No. Jimmy will just break her heart by falling too much into criminality. I'm hoping they run into eachother in the 'present' and she picks him back up
>>82618600
i have a feeling she leaves prior to BB era, but may show up during the Cinnabon timeline

Most brainlets I've met fail to appreciate the genius of the Matrix Trilogy, claiming Reloaded and Revolutions ruined it.
Are you one of these brainlets?
Some things people usually miss...
1. Zion is another simulation. A sort of safety valve for the "unbalanced equation", the people that periodically wake up from the Matrix. This explains why Neo is able to stop the Sentinels in the "real world" and why he is able to see the golden code, the machine code for the Zion simulation. It also neatly explains why the Machines are OK with the "peace" at the end.
2. Neo and Trinity are programs. The purpose of the Neo program is to guide the "liberated" humans when they achieve critical mass, as explained by the Architect. He is a control mechanism.
The purpose of the Trinity program is to awaken the Neo program and guide him in his mission.
This explains how both Trinity and Neo come back from "dying", they had not fulfilled their programming at that point so they could not die.
The Merovingian and Persephone are previous iterations of the Neo and Trinity programs that survived the reset of the second Matrix.
Councilor Hamman is the previous iteration of the Neo program, from the fifth Matrix. He leads the exiled Humans just as explained by the Architect.
This is shown in the movie when Councillor Hamman tells Neo that he can "barely sleep" every night, just like him.
This is also shown in the fact that in Zion, Neo, Hamman and Trinity are the only ones that wear blue, while all the others wear white or red, like Morpheus. Blue represents the fake, Red represents the real.
3. The Oracle is the one that masterminds the new peace at the end. He tells Neo what he needs to hear, bending the rules so that he ends up choosing the other door.
4. Neo defeats Smith by connecting to the Source and allowing Smith to take over his body. By doing this, Smith is now connected directly to the Source again, and thus can be deleted just like any other program.
>>82618482
5. Sati is the product of Machine love, and represents the future, the fact that the Machines are evolving to feel love and thus compassion towards humans.
6. Our world is the 7th Matrix, the one shown at the end. In the end, the bright colors of the reset Matrix are like those in our world, whereas the 6th Matrix had a greenish tinge to it.
7. You're a faggot OP who wants his dick cut off so you can be a woman
I'm one of those brainlets that didn't even like the first one.

why didn't sauron just pick the ring back up?
>>82618434
because the eagles would have eaten him

The best description of what I've heard the ring does other than the mercurial 'rules all rings' is this:
>All magic is dying out. Gandalf for instance is a goddamn space angel and could level cities if it weren't for magic dying out, because of this the best he can manage are momentary evocation and brief expressions of might. This is also why the wizards, despite being immortal space angels, can only manifest in the visage of old men, a visual representation of how much weaker they are than they could be. Nobody can draw out enough magic anymore without long rituals or without tapping a powerful source.
>Sauron sees this power drain coming. He creates the One Ring. In return for investing the bulk of his essence into it, the Ring allows him to draw upon his full strength even in a realm where everyone else is starving for magic. It frees him from that restriction. So without the Ring, Sauron would be on the same level as his equivalents in MiddleEarth, with it he has access to powers like mass domination of armies, weather control, mind control, superminion creation, and knocking over an army with a mighty swing of his mace.
>When Isildur cuts the One Ring off of Sauron's finger, Sauron is suddenly inside a body designed to hold a fraction of the power the ring put inside him. He explodes 'like a balloon and then something happens'.
>The Ring does this same gradual overclock on anyone who wears it. If Gandalf wore it, he would get access to his full Maiar powers. If Galadrial wears it, she gets all the elf magic, she could probably even use it to keep her people on middle earth. If Aragorn wears it, he gets the full Numenorian powers back. It's tempting because you feel whole, you know about something you never knew you were missing.
>That's why Hobbits are prefect ring bearers. Hobbits are a young species. No history of magic, no wars, just a need for comfort, nothing for the ring to exploit.

Kubrick wanted the 4chan audience.
So according to Lynch himself the popular interpretation of Eraserhead does not match with his. I just watched the film for the first time. Although there is surely a lot that went completely over my head my overall impression is that the film was about abortion. A few of the reasons I came to this opinion are...
1. Firstly and most obviously, the child is fetus-like and premature (I've read speculation that Lynch used an animal fetus when shooting).
2. The woman in the radiator sings a song about how heaven isn't so bad (or something like that) and steps on a bunch of sperm-like creatures. She represents a careless woman who has had many abortions without a second thought.
3. In the final few scenes Henry embraces the radiator woman afterkilling (aborting) his child.
4. I know this one is really is quite a stretch but this is what occurred to me during the "pencil scene". Most abortions happen at around 6 or 7 weeks and during this time the fetus is about the size of the eraser head of a pencil.
I guess what I want to know is if you guys agree with my interpretation or if not what did you make of the film?
>>82617556
bump
>>82617556
My interpretation was that Lynch was scared of fatherhood, and it might just be a self reflection of his life before he made this movie.
I believe the film may have influence relating to Jesus/Anti-Christ or some similar type story.
-His baby was apparently the work of a higher power
-His wife is named Mary
-Lynch claims this is his most spiritual film
This is just scratching the surface, but there is probably more things to consider. Worth thinking about, at least.
