What, you don't like porn quality production values and image quality?
Arnold movies were the capeshit of the 80s
People decided on what movie to see and they were like, "Arnolds in it! That means its FUN and easy to understand so I can make out with Chad and not miss anything", so they keep getting made to the dismay of film connoisseurs. "Commando" was not a good movie by any metric, yet you see these small cocked wide hipped millenials glorify it as some sort of lost gem of masculinity, the same type of people who hangout on sites like /r/theredpill or fitmisc.
I wonder if when the west inevitably turns full authoritarian people will look back and miss the good old superhero movies like guardians of the galaxy, a foregone time when fun was allowed.
Fuck you, asshole.

What went wrong?
What the fuck do you mean?
This is one of the best comic movies ever made.

two words:
slo mo
A bunch of shit outlined in the comics, basically though they all succumbed to human flaws and circumstances highlighting something already obvious, superheros let alone superhero teams are impractical in the real world
Does anyone else love Herzog docs but hold his movies in poor regard.
I just finished aguirre and found it to be average as fuck
Am I a pleb?
Shut the fuck up
Opposite for me.
>>82630518
It's the patrician standpoint. His documentaries are some of the best. Either way Aguirre is probably his most overrated work, because it is probably the only one normies have even heard about. Fitzgerraldo is a better film all around, yet normies never seem to mention that one.
I see it on here now and then but now I've started watching it, it just seems like a more stylish version of CSI, with a new crime every episode. Does it get better?
Do you get better?

I've never seen any of LoTR movies, ama
Why do people feel the need to brag about not having seen films? I have not watched this series of films because they are trash for children and I am happy with the books. Same with Star Wars. I have never watched them and never will because they are trashy low budget children's films. I have never seen any superhero films apart from the Blade films 1 & 2. Am I bragging? I don't think so but you plebs seriously need to get better taste and watch cinema that will enhance your life and intelligence and not just clog up your brains with colourful and noisy shit. You are brainlets.

Confirmed for no normal friends or normal family life
Neither have I
Read the books though
>"Nerd culture is the product of a late capitalist conspiracy, designed to infantalize the consumer as a means of non-aggressive control."
- Simon Pegg
>"A sweet-faced boy of twelve told me proudly that he had seen Star Wars over a hundred times? I said, 'do you think you could promise never to see Star Wars again?' He burst into tears. I just hope the lad, now in his thirties, is not living in a fantasy world of secondhand, childish banalities"
- Alec Guinness
>"I don't think they are making [comic book movies] an elevated art form, I think it's still just Batman running around in a stupid cape.. It's for kids, it's adolescent in its core. "
- David Cronenberg
>"I don't want to see or make films about super heroes that fly around in spandex and a cape solving the problems of the world. I think it's fine for children, children of all ages by the way, but it's not for me."
- William Friedkin
>“They have been poison, this cultural genocide, Because the audience is so overexposed to plot and explosions and shit that doesn’t mean nothing about the experience of being human.”
- Alejandro Iñárritu
>"Superman makes me vomit, Batman and all of that. That whole empire... this religion... It is so important that superheroes suffer... I don't give a damn, I shit on the United States."
- Alejandro Jodorowsky
>"To my mind, this embracing of what were unambiguously children's characters at their mid-20th century inception seems to indicate a retreat from the admittedly overwhelming complexities of modern existence"
- Alan Moore
>"The movies are for children but they don't want to admit that... There is a small group of fans that do not like comic sidekicks. They want the films to be tough like The Terminator, and they get very upset and opinionated about anything that has anything to do with being childlike."
- George Lucas

>Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.

No. You're stupid and ugly.
What went wrong?
Is the latest season any good?
It got too into self referential humor and began to depend on it.
>>82630109
the idea was decent but i didnt really like it
I just finished it, and honestly didn't think it's as bad as people make it out to be.
What does /tv/ think about it ?
Because it's overrated.
>>82630054
I tried watching it, but turned it off about halfway through the first episode. The amount of cringe made felt like the weight of a million suns crushing my soul. Noped the fuck out of getting invested right then and there. No regertz.
>>82630054
Without its pacing and progression, in which a resolution is inevitably reached, while tension increases as the series continues, I probably would not have finished it. The writing can be downright dreadful at times. The characters, while given proper roles and variety, aren't memorable, and I never got the impression that Hannah had a good reason to kill herself. I wish more shows with good writing and characters and an interesting conflict also had this show's pacing.
