Explain the plot of Alien Covenant without using the letter e.

Dumb
Decent visuals with boring back story.
"its terrible"
so many people believe this is the greatest remake ever, they think it's on the same level with the original and some people even think it was better. Wow, literally how?
Who praises it? I've heard people call it all right, but I never see anyone claim it's better than the original.
I was okay with the fact that they expanded on the family's situation that was addressed in the 1974 script but excised from the filmed version, yet they fucked up Leatherface himself. It seemed so wrong to have him sneak around and search for Biel.
Friday the 13th is the true GOAT 2000s horror remake. Halloween 2 is pretty awesome, but barring the opening, it's a remake in name only.
>>83001329
Wrong, Dawn of the Dead is best remake
>>83001395
Snyder's Dawn of the Dead didn't blow the original film out of the water like the F13 remake did. While the bar is considerably higher for Dawn of the Dead, I think that should count for something. It was a decent zombie flick, but being a remake didn't really serve it -- it could've been called anything, while F13 used its slasher template to its advantage.
I dont get it
can anybody please explain the ending to me?
watch the Bernie Sanders explanation vid and come back when you're done
>>83000042
Episode 1 - dude life sucks I'm prolly gonna kill myself. "You've forgotten your purpose!!"
2-9 - Meets Ashi. Rediscovers purpose. Rediscovers will to live, fight, save the world. Sees impact actions can have on world.
Episode 10 - Shit, that sucks, but that's life and I'm glad to have the memories I do. She saved me. I accomplished my goal because of her.
Tl;DR - Depressed? Get a gf.
>tfw you finish season one really excited for two and then you watch the new opening credits
what the FUCK guys???
I have a feeling that Damon didn't want to focus too hard on the religious aspect of it and instead treat the disappearance as a mystical mysterious kind of thing, with characters thinking that its religious.
The opening credits for season one are great and I like them a lot better than the new ones but they heavily imply that october 14th was some kind of rapture
>>83000021
Let the mystery be plebo.
>>83000021
>Hating based Iris Dement's unique voice and not realizing that the song is thematically perfect for the show AND that the visuals are creative and relevant
Stay mad you fucking pleb, I bet you still get hard when dramatic polyphonic opera starts screaming over an orchestra
>its really really over
lets just let that sink in for a moment
it all felt a little rushed to me, i would of preferred
>none of the intro bullshit
>word has spread about jack being captured by aku
>aku is about to kill jack and all his friends rescue him
>jack rescues ashi
>they team up and fight aku together
>aku dies and taunts jack that he will never get back to the past
>jack doesn't care anymore
>he has all his friends and the women he loves around him
>we see a montage of jack starting a family with ashi
>because aku is dead jack is now ageing
>we see an older jack, he is now "king jack"
now there are two possible endings i see from here
>jack dies and ashi takes there daughter to the big statue of him and explains what he did and how great he was
or
>jack looks over his kingdom with his friends and family surrounding him
>hes happy
>he smiles as we fade to black
>>83000740
agree senpai
>>83000740
>fuck everybody in the past my happiness is what's important
Take your jewy philosophy and get right the fuck out
Driver
Set over six months after the events of Drive, the mysterious Driver passes through Florida, ending up in Miami as Bernie's close associate (Viggo Mortensen) and a white collar day trader named Gale with connections to Bernie (Steve Carrell) put a large sum out on the Driver's head with various hitmen after him as well as two who are the Driver's equal.
A mysterious character simply called the Frenchman (Joseph Gordon-Levitt).

>original ideas
> Set over six months after the events of Drive
>Rewriting a film you like is an original idea
>>82999921
don't ruin a good character with your shitty fanfiction
Why does this story need to involve the driver?
Why can't it just be some other guy?
Just make it its own thing.
>Who's down there?!

This movie is going to be huge and it will be Gals breakout role. After this she will be everywhere
She's already getting praised for her acting (both physically and emotionally) and her portrayal will reinvigorate WW as a cultural icon for years to come
How does it make you feel to be constantly wrong /tv/?
>>82999822
First of all the shilling needs to stop now, why would you let some questionable internet critics sway your view or opinion about a movie before you even watch it? In the real world we call your shit post premature ejaculation which means that we're not satisfied with your fucked up point of view. See the movie first analyze it carefully and come back and try to convince us why it's "good" with strong evidence to back up your claim.
>>82999822
It is difficult to judge before the film is out but purely based on the visuals, she is not imposing or threatening as Wonder Woman. She looks as if the wind could blow her over. Why not have Michael Cera play Batman at this point?
>>82999822
People trying so hard to shill this shit
It looks shit it always has and it is shit some paid reviews aint gonna change that
....oh no
>>82999542
I don't get the series. The big bad is a Jar Jar Binks tier goofball. How does that work?
>>82999571
He's the Sith Lord version of Jar Jar, but it's not an act, he's just a goofball. Does that help?
>>82999542
Am I the only one that thought Aku's death was really unsatisfying?
Classic movie/actress thread.
>>82999281
GK was literally perfection
>>82999390
Kim Novak was prettier.
To Catch a Thief is such a let down of a movie. It had all the right stuff but just didn't work.
Maybe it didn't work because no Herrmann?
Eitherway, Grace was so delectable.
Probably the best villain in the movie, no matter how shitty you guys say it was
Also
>no I M P R E S S I V E
or silly voice when he fought Spider-Man
Aside from that I thought the design for the new goblin or hobgoblin was so awesome, between the sword, snowboard like glider, and mask.
I guess "why Spider-Man 3 wasn't that bad general"???
>>82999201
>one fully fleshed out villain that you actually feel sympathy for
>rival turned villain turned best friend turned ally
>surprise third villain that some people probably didnt expect with a pretty cool creation scene
>the dancing through the street and jazz club scenes
>carnage tease for potential sequel
why DO people think 3 is bad?
>>82999365
YEah I remember some kid was telling me when I was little
>YEAH AND THEN SPIDERMANSsSSSs FUCKING BLOODSSsss IS GONNA MIX WITH VENOM AND MAKE CARNAGE
I was so fucking hype for 3 when I was little and I loved it so much watching it too
>>82999365
WHat if Refn made a superhero movie
I am literally in tears right now. Three simple words come to my mind...
FARE WELL JACK!
>>82999000
Fag
>>82999000
more like samuraiJOKE!
>>82999219
>>82999243
Leave thread immediately. The ending was absolutely perfect and definitely provided us with a sense of closure. Those of us that have been with Jack from the very beginning. Not referring to you edgy tryhard bandwagoners.
this movie belongs in the us library of congress
your MOM belongss in the us library of congress
im trying to have an intelligent discussion here.
What is the criteria for it? Theres a lot of screwball comedies in it.
What are your favorite bleak, 70s sci-fi kinos? I'll start with the best of the Apes sequels.
>>82998845
I've always felt Colossus: The Forbin Project was kind of the spiritual brother to Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
> Same weird sparse Brutalist Architecture
> future full of turtle necks
> bleak as fuck
>>82998845
>>82999123
I'm actually not familiar with that one, so I'll have to look it up. But yeah, those turtle necks are essential.
What's in store for season 2 of Bill Nye Saves the World? What new topics do you think they'll cover? Or, if they go back to old topics, how do you think they'll handle them the second time around? Do you think they'll address the comments/concerns/complaints they got in season 1 and, if so, how?
Maybe he'll go from talking vaginas to talking anuses
>>82998849
Eh, I think there were plenty of talking anuses in season 1.
