Serious question. Not /pol/ either. It occured to me after the GiTS movie. Why do people get so bootyblasted over anime characters being cast as white for movie adaptations when most anime characters are from casts of clearly diverse backrounds? For fucks sake, Asians don't have blonde hair or live in a Germanic setting, look at what they did to FMA. Jotaro Kujo is half white, but full asian in the shitty movie. Same goes for those horrid Death Note movies. Fuck even DBZ is a perfect example of this

What's the biggest onscreen battle in the history of film?

In one of the future Alien films, I want to see the full-size Deacon roaming the lifeless landscape of LV-223.

I also want to see a hardcore sex scene during which an alien bursts out of one of the participants.

I also want to see flying xenomorphs.

That is all. I know it's not much for a thread, but this franchise is so fucking bizarre and convoluted already, I'm kind of excited to see where it goes.

The only reason xenomorphs are ever a credible threat is because of plot armor and sudden stupidity from their future victims. They're not intelligent beings, no matter how much the films try to tell us otherwise. At best, they're comparable to a durable tiger or a leopard. When human stupidity fails to make them threatening, plot contrivances step in to allow them to keep killing (e.g. that one inmate releasing the imprisoned alien in 3). They're even less of a threat when given actual time to prepare with the advanced technology of the 22nd century. The technology for power armor and intelligent, obedient robots clearly exists but is never utilized against the alien threat. If this were done, there would be no padded two hour "ten little niggers" plot and instead roughly fifteen minutes of xenomorph genocide. The only thing about them that is scary is their appearance, and this stops being the case by the time most people turn eleven.
