>creating pure kino out of capeshit source material...is such a thing even possible?
>yes it is
>>83543727
Does "kino" apply to 8/10 movies, now? I thought it was 10/10 or it wasn't kino.
>>83543731
well in this case it seems to apply to a 3/10, so apparently.
>>83543727
>that 30 minute sequence in the middle of the movie with the black family
Real classy to pull the "racist honkeys shuttin off the good, god loving black familys water just because the color of their skin". Seriously, they act like it's the 1930s. That shit doesn't happen and I felt condescended on during that shit
What did he mean by this?
If it ran on estrogen, there would be no action in the movie at all. Wtf is this dumbass talking about?
>>83543456
>the movie is shit BUT IT HAS A FEMALE LEAD
>FRESH
"""professional""" reviewers
"I'd like to keep my job as a film reviewer"
who would win?
Israel is America's greatest ally though, why would they fight?
Wonder Woman. But if there is time for preparation, then Batman.
>>83543328
that costume is so fucking stupid. I still can't believe someone thought that was a good idea
JESUS Christ, worst season yet. What is this bullshit?
> While the newest season of the hit Netflix series House of Cards is just days old the next season has entered pre-production and we had the chance to meet up for an exclusive interview with Robin Wright who plays Claire Underwood.
>EZ: What changes will we see in the next season?
>WR: The next season we will really be exploring the dynamics of Claire and Frank's strained relationship and how she handles her newfound duties as the first female president.
>EZ: Can you tell us if she and Frank will be getting back together or will there be a new love interest for Claire this season?
>WR: I am not sure how much I am allowed to say [laughs]. I can say that for the most part Frank's story is over and the new season will focus on Claire's handling of situations and how they contrast to Franks. While Frank will still have a major impact on the story, he will be pulling the strings from the background.
>EZ: How as it working with Kevin [Spacey]?
>WR: Kevin is a doll. I couldn't ask for a better friend or filming partner.
>EZ: Will the new season be addressing the current political climate?
>WR: We are still ironing out the details but we have a few ideas for truly outlandish characters, but still more grounded than our current president [laughs].
>EZ: Thank you so much for you time.
WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING????????????????
>>83543385
>Frank's part of the story is over
>Next season will focus entirely on Claire
>Frank relegated to a fucking background character
>>83543322
>Frank's story is over
I really want this to blow up in their face
This is gonna flop isn't it? There's almost no hype.

hopefully campy tv series will make a comeback
>kids these days will never know ridiculous WB and UPN shows that came on in the middle of the night
GOOLD?
Recently watched the French movie "Raw" and I liked it a lot, also saw a trailer for a movie coming out on the 9th called "It Comes At Night" that looks like it might be interesting.
Any horror films you've seen so far this year that you thought were pretty good? Anything that was either foreign/indie or just overall obscure?
We all need good horror films that aren't your run-of-the-mill shit like another Conjuring or the coming IT remake.
>>83541966
Raw was a good coming-of-age movie, I liked how the cannibalism acted as a thematic element representing her comfort with freedom.
It Comes At Night, I feel like it's gonna be another Babadook: an excellent and entertaining movie at its core, but not a particularly scary one. It uses horror as window dressing rather than the main focus.
You want a good horror check out Green Room. It's got some genuinely gut-wrenching scenes in there and the late Anton Yelchin pulls in a great performance. As a whole it's a little shaky, but all the individual parts are fucking kino. Also I feel like this post might be bait but I don't care.

Yeah, I can agree with that, I'm cautiously optimistic at the moment but I'm worried it's just going to be more zombie shit.
>>83542104
Why do you assume my post is bait exactly?
anyone else watch this film recently? The plot twist at the end was so obvious.
>>83541197
Well that's what happens when you limit the possible outcomes to 2.
>>83541437
plus in the movie she says she can't pilot
>>83541197
It had a pacing issue, but it was still pretty good I thought. The parts where the alien is doing stuff are pretty thrilling, but the moments where it goes back to the humans being retarded it just drags.
I've had a sad week. Let's have a thread about sad movies or scenes that always get to you.
If he was an angel why didn't they just quit their fucking jobs and receive eternal blessings from god for saving an angel?
How come he don't want me, man?

If Star Trek Discovery doesn't take off successfully you do know that there will be no more Star Trek shows, right?

It's dead, Jim.
Oh god forbid we get new series instead of tired rehashes of beloved classics.
I've been fine with that since voyager.
I have to go with the Wolf of Wall Street. The Dutchess was an interesting character too.
