Now that the dust has settled, we can all agree this should've ended with the second season, right?
It should end with first cause the us election is much better show.
The problem was third season. Now they are trying to clean it up, but they are doing a terrible job
At least Based Tusk reappears every once and then
And the bitchness of Claire and stagnation of Frank (who hasn't done anything outstanding since Season 2) give room to Michael Kelly to show his abilities

Yup. Stopped watching after the third. Even if it weren't for the Claire bullshit, it's like the writers have absolutely no clue what the president does.
They actually shadowed congressmen and got the party politics right in 1, and every VP has a different role so they had freedom with that one, but they went way off the rails with the presidency to the point the show became nonsense.

Wish I knew, anon... my stepdad likes Red Dwarf, I know that much.
That TNG pic reminds me of something I sometimes think about... it's kind of weird how in fictional universes where actors have definitively portrayed the characters, many of the fans end up fixated on the way those actors look. So, for example, everyone imagines Picard as Patrick Stewart. Then you end up with Star Trek books that have drawings of actors on the front, like those performances are permanently frozen into that fictional universe.
>>83929990
Honestly I think that's why nobody takes any of the written Star Trek works seriously. When actors give things definitive images, voices, and quirks, you're going to read any written work with the same characters as if it was a fan fiction of the TV show. You just can't take it seriously.
You can take a book and pretty accurately make it into a TV show, but not the other way.

Why do people react with such anger and smugness to Treadwell's choice of lifestyle?
It's unbelievable to me that so many can watch this and feel no admiration for his passion, competence, and physical courage; nor any empathy for being fucking eaten alive.

Op I think he's great right up to the point where he brought his girlfriend and she got killed too. It's okay to be naive and get yourself killed but she didn't deserve that. I'm sure he told her it was safe and he did it all the time. I feel really bad for her.
