this movies loses 99% of its appeal when you find out that its pretty much just a puff peace for Jodorowsky's weird cult.
Kinda kills any of the fun in trying to interpret it.

What other choice Blatant Propaganda kino would you recommend?
>>83963193
queen?
>propaganda
>The Queen
pls explain more
>>83964013
the film's entire purpose is to "humanize" while still glorifying an out-of-touch aged aristocrat and justifying her undemocratic position and influence
the woman in real life is a complete sociopath, she was raised to be one as are all members of her clan, anyone who marries into their brood all agree that the British royals just do not behave like humans and are rather alien at best and demonic at worst in their constant power moves and manipulations
it's kino because it does offer a bizarre insight into the other side of the palace window, it even manages to succeed at times in trivializing Princess Diana and the common people who loved her
it's very effective in getting you to empathize with Elizabeth and the Windsors in a twisted way, that's why it's propaganda kino
>Amercia
>1995
>Male archetypes
is that le hothead man on the right?
I spent a million hours in McDonalds as a kid, but the ones I was in didn't have all that wood trim, they had the usual 90s gray, purple, and fuchsia color scheme.

Hey /tv/, I know you shouldn't eat shit just because there might be corn in it, but I have no idea who to ask for advice on this, so I'm asking you. I'm writing a screenplay for a sort of magical realist mockumentary (a bit like pic related). I have the plot pretty well figured out, but I'm trying to pin down how to write dialogue without making it sound like a typical movie. I want it to flow with a genuinely natural sound, but I need to illuminate aspects of the plot, characters, and foreshadowing so well that it goes unnoticed. Does anyone have any recommendations, tips, tricks? I know it's not a simple solution, and if you need more info about the way the film is constructed, I can post some loose points and communicate the shape and themes of the story, but I'm not comfortable posting the details online.
>>83963061
i kinda unironically write screen plays. closest thing i have to being published is i helped a film school friend's group with their final. what's your plot, characters, and setting like?
>>83963061
>>83963326
>I'm not comfortable posting the details online.
even if you gave me a setting it would help. i doubt anyone of any caliber would lurk /tv/ for film ideas.
>>83963326
Ok, it's basically a documentary about a homeless population of a small backwoods town in Southern Wisconsin. There are some mildly surreal elements in the film that I don't want to divulge explicitly atm, but I aim to make those elements as believable in the context of the film as possible. The real story of the film is about the director (a semi-exaggerated version of myself) who is a fairly pretentious progressive art school film student that grew up in the town. He comes back to make this documentary about the plight of the lower middle class, but slowly begins to get sucked into the town, drops out of school, has his ideals destroyed, becomes obsessed with an old girlfriend who lives there, starts doing drugs and escalates to hard drug use, and eventually becomes a homeless person.
Themes are paranoia, metafiction, stoic minimalism, and the ambiguity of class systems.
>Local theater no longer serves mac&cheese
I go there about once a week and raised hell with the concession staff. Manager had to come out and basically explain that I was the only one who ever ordered it and they were throwing full buckets of pasta away every night. So what now? Is there any reason other than the mac&cheese to go out and see a movie in 2017?
Shaq's Mac & Cheese

>But, according to the report, Kubrick-Hobbs said that no one list really captures her dad's tastes. "He liked movies on their own terms," she said. "And I know that he hated The Wizard of Oz."
>the rainbow is a symbol of LGBT propaganda
>director Stanley Kubrick (born Abraham Coen) is Jewish[2][3] according to internet encyclopedia Wikipedia.com
Like clockwork! /pol/ is right again!
>>83963104
Moron. Kubrick was basically a fascist.
>>83963104
>makes movie basically outing the cosmopolitan elite as depraved monsters who organise secret orgies with prostitutes and kill them if they get out of line
>movie deals exclusively with heteronormative themes
>hurr durr Kubrick is promoting faggotry
Yea, try harder next time.
If you really want, here's a more plausible accusation: Lolita is paedophilia propaganda, and it is well known that Jews control the human trafficking trade, especially concerning underage girls. But that is neither here nor there, since these are all MOVIES. Kubrick is a fucking reactionary next to the degenerate filth coming out these days, in any case.
>"It is happening again"
>actually nothing happens
Woah, so this is a power of Lynch.
>>83962182
Plenty of stuff has happened, you're just being obtuse.
>>83962182
Be honest with me on this /tv/: I don't care if nothing happens but is it at least nicely directed? Lynch used to be such a visually gifted, formalist filmmaker. Rewatch Eraserhead. Then compare it to Inland Empire, where he completely stopped caring, the digital cinematography looks absolutely digusting. Completely senile, zero visual effort. Is he at least trying to make aesthetically interesting scenes this time, or is he the same lazy Lynch from Inland Empire?
>>83962250
Interesting things do happen in it but cinematographically it looks just like every other crime drama on TV.
