Watching City Of God in film class
>class is visibly angry
>'I can't read and watch at the same time'
>'Why wouldn't you make a film in English if you wan't it to sell well
>Class demands a dub
>teacher can't find one
>we end up watching batman vs superman
Anyone else got bad film class stories.

No anon, i don't have film classes, i want to acquire useful skills.
>>84137561
Yeah, in my film class the first day the teacher asked what our favorite film was, and this asian kid I saw playing yu gi oh earlier and had a cap with dragon wings on it said Food Fight is his favorite movie and the teacher is like oh what's that and he said "o-o-oh my God, heh heh heh heh heh, i-i-its the worst movie I mean oh my God, it is just so hilarious and just, wow, the animation is like puke and, heh heh heh, it's so bad" and the teacher was visibly cringing . Next class we watched Chinatown and that kid caught up with me and asked what I thought and I said it's Chinatown man, it's a classic (implying I've already seen it), and the kid goes "yeah, it was boring. And the ending is just like, uuuh, what? Heh he heh, right?' and I just signed

I didn't go to films, I went to film school.
Am I the only one that felt really uncomfortable watching this flick?
I tried watching it years ago but I turned it off at about twenty minutesWhen Cage fucks that dudes girl in front of him and smokes crack
Am I missing a decent film because of how uncomfortable Cage makes me? Or is this just trash?
Should I watch it?
This movie's title has always bugged the shit out of me. The title makes it sound like a comedy.
Cage's laughs in the film are hilarious.

Yeah like an over the top adult swim parody show name or something.
Is /tv/ looking forward to the new X-Men show?
>>84137415
They really look like a mutant. Good casting
>>84137415
I'd like to see the tall, pale dark one naked. Just know she has a really pretty pusy.

That's Emma Dumont. She plays Polaris.
Better call Saul thread
So what did you guys think?
Jimmy is one the best characters in tv history. He almost went the route of Lester Nygaard but came back to sanity.

Really like the show, but it will be sad to watch Jimmy slip in terms of his sharpness. I think him forgetting to turn off the mic when talking to Erin was just the beginning.
>>84137119
this is going to be an epic meme

Still really slow, and like with everyone I am really anticipating the moment the show starts to heat up, but it's the best show on tv, it's just the best. I love it. Season three was great, it didn't blow my hair all the way back but there was some 10/10 shit and it's still my favorite show. I'd rank it like
First season is best
Third season is second best
Second season is third
Jesus Christ. Do people actually think this shit about fucking secret assassin hotels that run on gold doubloon currency with super special 'no kill' rules where everyone dresses like a euphoric gentlesir is good?
>dressing yourself well
>euphoric

>>84136974

What the fuck were they thinking?
they were trying to recreate the wacky insanity of the Joker but they forgot they had Jesse Eisenberg
>>84136816
They were thinking, "this is how you effectively close the birthing arc for a classic villain", and they were correct.
What retard unironically thinks he can act? He doesn't look evil, he looks fucking constipated. Yeah, that's what someone looks like after eating taco bell and then a brick of cheddar cheese immediately after.
All the poor, homeless, hopeless and unrecognized talents assemble.

How much do they make from Patreon?
How do they live without producing content? How hard is it to sit on a set and discuss movies once a week?

Lets be honest, it was a better Alien™ movie than Covenant.

That's a pretty low bar
>>84136200
Covenant < Life < Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2
Covenant was great though.

If you lived in The Lord of the Rings universe what sort of character would you be?
I'd want to be a man of Gondor living in Minas Tirith. Ideally a soldier of the guard of the city, defending all the old heritage of Numenor from the forces of darkness. Basically I'd want to be Beregond.

Literally me
A hobbit in the shire for sure, maximum comfy.
Which seasons are worth watching? Is this show actually good?
>>84136100
>Which seasons
There isn't a good season, all episodes are equal really. Don't even have to watch chronologically, just pop on a random episode and enjoy.
If anything, start at the beginning and work your way through.
>>84136100
It's great.
>>84136183
... I wasn't even a big fan of the show, but I can appreciate good writing/shows.
