"The Layover" is a modern digest of a corporate American landscape - or, as it so astutely shows, the America itself. With its San-Fran lingo, social network preconditioning, tricking the audience (well done, Mr Macy's... sorry, Mr Macy!) into watching brand-name commercials AFTER the movie begins and not to forget the fully clothed sex scenes it paints a hellish landscape of people muttering what's supposed to be innuendo and self awareness yet never translates into realization about soul crushing spirit decay encompassing every step of the meaningless route between a boardroom, a wedding... where exactly is the layover? Is it in the presentation itself?

I recently watched Logan again for the second time and I still find it impossible to love this film. While it is undoubtedly a well made and brilliantly acted piece of cinema, as a part of the X-Men franchise it just annoys me. Not only are most of the characters killed off screen but all the fighting and sacrifice of the previous films has meant bugger all. Not only is the world a depressing corporate hellhole but mutants have been wiped out, a fate our heroes always tried to prevent.
Also the villain is shit (no disrespect to Withnail)

I still enjoy the purge episode. I feel like this show is better the further it removes itself from reality.

This show is really hit or miss, and there's way to much social commentary, but when it hits it's great. Reminds me a little bit of Key & Peele in that sense.

This show is so fucking goofy. The story is interesting but when they start dancing around, I can't help but picture some faggy little theater kid dreaming of how he'll change the world. It instantly breaks the fourth wall for me and I can't help but laugh.

I need help /tv/. A friend of mine is a producer and he's hiring me to write a short film for him. I feel like this is a good opportunity to get into filmmaking but I'm not sure what the best way to go about it is. I'm genuinely interested in this project and want to make something that's good.
