By far his best. Anyone who says otherwise is a silly shorts.
Rip-off of The Last Wave
True Detective>>Twin Peaks
So bored wasting time watching Cooper's progressing autism, cringing at unfunny jokes and edgy, violent killing scenes, with that shitty live music at the end. Actually you can't even compare True Detective and Twin Peaks, the first one was absolutely mindblowing and super interesting to watch, while even old Twin Peaks is unbearble crap, 30yold igly permastoned lady playing a schoolgirl, fuck she's annoying af, the music theme is so bad, it felt old and pathetic back then, now it sounds like 70's shit.
I watched True Detective probably 10 times and it's perfect, real, the second one was dissapointing, too mainstream and cliched, the rest of the stuff like dark mirror, house, american horror, american gods and all that fake stuff is literally pukeworthy shit for middle class office rats that come home and need that load of shit to spice up their evenings, and get that fake behaviour pattern for the next day when they return to work, just like kids after watching some action movie, think this is real life.
Sadly that tree and the entire spot is taken down, there's a plain field instead right now.

agreed
Why do some people on here enjoy this guy's movies? Ive been tricked by /tv/ into watching two of his movies based on them frequenting lists of good movies.
Watched Fantastic Mr Fox and Life Aquatic of Steve Zissou, and they are both plagued by the same shit.
>actors obviously directed to underact emotions
>sarcastic quipping and dry """humour""" that takes emotion out of every scene
>cringeworthy emotional scenes that fail completely because of the above points
>meme "continuous long cuts" that arent impressive at all, and even feature cuts that he tries to hide
I know the autism word gets thrown around a lot here but the way he directs genuinely seems autistic. Why do some people like his movies?
Ive also downloaded Grand Budapest Hotel. Is it the same shit or worth watching?

People mainly like him for his aesthetic more than anything imo. If it's not your cup of tea then move along but he is competent filmmaker with a unique style regardless of what anyone thinks of him.
moonrise kingdom and grand budapest are pretty comfy just for the landscape alone

this desu. im not a huge fan but his movies are visually pleasing, and they are far from trash. just watch them for what they are.

This was so fucking retarded and I loved every minute. And it didn't bother with a plot at all like so many bloated mainstream comedies do, 83 minutes of openly stupid jokes and it ends.
What's some more Rotten-core that you liked? I heard that Andy Samberg Popstar movie was better than people said
I remember when my family was at a concert he asked a women who was hugging him on stage Would you love me even if I didn't have the money!"
