My friend has seen a good chunk of these films (not master and commander though) and the ones she didn't like were 2001 and Last Samurai. Doubt she would like Kingdom of Heaven either.

The big guy here is Toretto.
What theory of physics are we using here?
Who else thoughta white cop was going to get out of the car and he was going to get blamed for killing the family and burning down their house, and rot in jail?It would have been really dark but I think it would have made for a better ending.
That scene was complete kino, old horror movies end with police light letting you know it's over and the remaining characters are going to be alright. Here he is still in danger until his bro comes out of the car.
>>84582379
And that is the exact reason why it DIDN'T happen - subversion of expectation.
Would it have made a difference if the white cop had discovered them though? Once the police investigated the house and realized "oh shit these people were doing some shit here" and Chris told his side of the story, wouldn't they let hom go on self defense or something? Happy ending regardless.
so whats the consensus on Oliver Stone's "The Putin interviews"? Was he just too buddy buddy with the guy that kills the journalists who investigate him?

hahaha me too thanks. Did not the USA hang negros?
>Summer revenue has tumbled more than 8 percent behind 2016 in North America after a string of misses.
>Save for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Wonder Woman, every summer tentpole so far has underperformed in North America — albeit to varying degrees — resulting in revenue for the season currently running 8 percent behind the same period last year. Worse, gains made in the earlier part of 2017 have been eroded to the point where revenue for the full year is now even with 2016 (in mid-April, it was 6 percent ahead).
>Heading into the July Fourth weekend, Hollywood was confident that Universal and Illumination's Despicable Me 3 wouldn't suffer the same plight. But instead of opening to an expected $85 million-plus, the animated tentpole came in at $72.4 million, well behind Despicable Me 2 and spinoff Minions. While the threequel is hardly a bomb, its lackluster domestic debut sets off another round of alarm bells within the major studios.
>The gap is startling. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, now winding down its run, has earned $165.5 million domestically since its release in late May, compared to $241.1 million for the last film, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Disney went ahead and made Dead Men Tell No Tales even after Stranger Tides did notably less business than either Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End ($309.4 million) or Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest ($423.3 million).
>Paramount's once-shiny Transformers is in the same boat. Like Dead Men Tell No Tales, Transformers: The Last Knight is the fifth outing in a franchise already plagued by diminishing returns in the U.S. The Last Knight, hitting theaters on June 21, has grossed just $102.1 million. The previous installment, Transformers: Age of Extinction, topped out at $245.4 million, versus $342.4 million for Transformers 3 and a franchise-best $402 million for Transformers 2.

A couple more years of desperate moves by studios while Netflix rakes in the money before the studios start financing low-budget auteurs left, right and centre in the hopes that one of them makes something that becomes a cult classic
Who will the new Tarantino, Paul Thomas Anderson, Kevin Smith and Richard Linklater be guys?
>This is an unexplored planet, lets send a ground team, Captain included out into this wilderness without any form of biohazard suits. We will leave a cowardly woman in charge of our only escape.
>This man is violently sick with space aids, lets let him on the ship to cough all over everything
>This alien is scary I will fire my gun randomly into the explosive barrels we keep stored in our ship. I will not just run off the ship.
>We'll follow this robed figure through a city of dead aliens and not be at the least bit curious about them or him.
>Gay flute break
>This 'David' character is clearly psycho, I'm going to shoot him. No wait I'll follow him through his creepy deathhouse and into the death basement. I will not inform anyone of the teammates death or what I am doing. My only encounter with aliens is violent death, including that of my own wife. I do not trust this robot but I will peep my head over the pulsing alien sack.
>Gay kiss break
>You killed Shaw, I do not trust you. You look a lot like Walter. I will not question this or why you do not regenerate despite it likely being common knowledge for someone working with robots. I will just assume its Walter.
>We need to lure the alien into the cargo hold. For some reason we also need to be in there. We cannot simply lure the alien in, open the airlock and keep it open till it is vented into space
>Please stay tuned for another shitty Alien film in 2 years time.
>>84581602
There is only one good Alien film, and its the first one.
>>84581602
Why are you sperging this movie was fantastic and David is xenomorph god.
I hope we see more of him.
>>84581705
You could cut 20 minutes out of this shit and it would be a far better film, the fact they expect the audiences not to figure out the Walter/David twist is insulting.
Or worse they expect you to get it and think they'll either ignore it (Which wouldn't end the film with sequel bait like all alien films need) or that we are meant to be at all invested in the entire ship scene when we know for a fact everyone is going to die.
Shits retarded. The next film better be just David nursing his baby aliens on the new world.

create a common enemy between the united states and russians so they could work together to defeat it instead of killing each other and destroying the world
Spider-man Homecoming will open to a tleast $135 million going by the super positive reviews and growing buzz. Its legs will be affected by Apes, but it will have tremendous WOM (it’s being called the biggest crowd-pleaser of the year) and Apes and Dunkirk are adult-popcorn entertainment, while Spidey will be the last family entertainer of the summer and will appeal hugely to teens who will not get attracted to either Dunkirk or Apes.
If the WOM is as I’m expecting it to be, $350 million domestic will be a guarantee and with some luck it could just about take a shot at $385-$400 Million. Again, it will be a fanboy film and thus could be a but more frontloaded but for now, a good estimate seems $350-$360 million domestic and $900-$930 million worldwide.

How do they get away with it all? Is this the least cucked sitcom of all time?
>>84578507
They get away with it in context. As long as you portray your characters as unlikable, antisocial outcasts, you can do whatever you want.
>>84578507
The show is designed with the intention that you're supposed to laugh AT these characters, not with them.
The writers are about as liberal as you could possibly get
>>84578642
>The show is designed with the intention that you're supposed to laugh AT these characters, not with them.
To a degree yes, but I'm sure you are also supposed to like, relate to, and definitely root for the characters so that makes it a moot point.
If the creators were hellbent on condemning the characters' seflish/asshole/un-pc behavior they would punish them for it, but that is almost NEVER the case.

No it was garbage.
Had essentially no new material at all. Was just a big nostalgia fest about the first movie.
I enjoyed it. Barely remember it but that's because my memory is terrible, not because there was nothing memorable about it.
