Was he a hero or a villain?
Hero
He was trying to defend his people assuring a future for apes and app children
>>84986004
He's never actually done anything wrong, he just wants to secure the existence of the ape race and a future for ape children

That said, when are you 'murrikuks going to stop watfching kids movies, are you all that infantilized?
Where would you like to see the Apes franchise go from here?
It seems to me like, at this point, they're going to keep getting closer and closer to the original film. They have the apes origin down, a good basis for the ape religion, and the humans are beginning to reach their regressed state.
We still need to see:
>The humans nuke the shit out of one another
>The apes migrating eastward
>The apes evolving physically
I want to see conflict within the apes again
The development of their caste system with orangutans being lawmakers, chimps being scholars and gorillas being grunts
Keep the humans to the sides for a while as a background problem they have to deal with eventually
>The apes evolving physically
i hope they dont do this.
>>84985950
We already see a little bit of that, with the orangutans being the teachers of the young apes and passing down the 'rules' for their society in Dawn.
>>84985961
The apes do evolve physically, look at the OP. B
You can follow at http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/features/867409-d23-live-action-movies
>They're starting with the same sizzle reel from yesterday. It's a mix of live action and animation, celebrating recent hits and featuring a few quick shots from THOR: RAGNAROK and THE LAST JEDI (from the trailer).
>They're showing a release calendar onscreen of all the upcoming Disney releases. There's nothing new on it, quite yet, but it has placeholders for AVENGERS: UNTITLED (the fourth film) and STAR WARS: EPISODE IX
>First up, A WRINKLE IN TIME!
>They're running down the full ensemble cast, which includes Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon as Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which and Mrs. Whatsit
>Pine was unaware of the book going in, but he says that within five minutes of meeting Du Vernay, he knew he wanted to be in the movie.
>"Ava thinks in this macro way that is very, very special," he says
>"It's about hitting the notes on the page, but there's also something of a -- to use 'WRINKLE IN TIME' speak -- cosmic level."
>Winfrey had not read the book herself, but enjoyed the request from Du Vernay that she play the wisest character in the universe.
>She also gets to work closely with Witherspoon and Kaling and will "wear incredible costumes". "Who wouldn't say yes to that?"
>They have a new poster that they're giving away at the end of the panel.
>"I've got this," laughs Orpah. "Everyone gets a poster! You get a poster! And you get a poster!"
Fucking nigger
>They're about to show the first teaser for A WRINKLE IN TIME!

Why would I go through these? Do you have legit autism?
Is this worth a watch?
Not really. Seems pretty intriguing during the first 30 minutes, then goes to shit, because it treats an untraditional romance story like a traditional one.
>>84985328
Pretty good.
7/10
I'd say so.
Early attempts to damn the movie were ideologically driven. Enemies of Jennifer Lawrence also contributed to the campaign to discredit the film.
Taken on its own, without any baggage, it's alright.
Did anyone else hate how their storyline ended?
I dislike how they basically wrote her off the second half of the series, just to bring her back solely to tie everything up. The conclusion they reached with each other was fine, it just lost some impact because it felt rushed.
Nope, it was perfect
Although last night I watched goodfellas and regret Tony not fucking her, at least once, doggystyle, as her sweaty Milfi tittiesare pressed to the floor and Tony whispers Gabagool in her ear and grabs said titties with his powerful italian hands

>only now decides to read a study about the effects of therapy on criminals
>flips out despite the fact that she actually helped Tony with the panic attacks
Yeah, it was half assed.

theres no debate. Lynch relies on gimmicks the same as Anderson and Tarantino. He is that level.

Recent leaks are saying Odin dies at some point during the movie and relinquishes the throne of Asgard to Thor with his dying breath. The movie however ends with Thor feeling the 9 realms and Earth still need him as an active protector so he hands over his kinghood to Heimdall.

In the four years I've been a film critic, I've never heard such passionate applause during a standing ovation. Only one film has garnered that response from a room full of critics and that's Dunkirk.
This film is amazing on so many levels. I'm not a huge fan of Nolan, but this is without a doubt his best film (I'd say before this his best was The Prestige). The cinematography, score, cast, writing, direction. These are all perfect in every regard.
What I wasn't expecting was the cast, or how unconventional it is. Most movies have a defined protagonist and antagonist, this film doesn't. It's all faces in a war, with each person one piece of a puzzle. They have emotional weight and reason to be invested in them but they are a unified force and I love how this film doesn't just put a noticeable face in that crowd, these guys are as nameless and faceless as you imagine a group of soldiers would be.
There's minimal dialogue in this film, and it works well to do so. Plot is advanced through subtle visual and audible cues. Nolan doesn't pander to his audience, if you're too dumb to not get these cues, you need to be smarter.
This film needs, no, REQUIRES, you to see it in 70mm IMAX. The way this film is made, it's with this format in it's very core and it's going to be a challenge to replicate that feeling again. See it in this format if you're going to see the film.
This is without doubt the best made film of 2017, and one of the best films of the decade. Few filmmakers can make such daring films that utilize traditional filmmaking elements with daring execution in a way that is both familiar and new in all the best ways.

I'm poor and I can only afford to see either war for the planet of the apes or dunkirk. Wut do?
Why the fuck he didn't made BvS? The faggot allowed hack snyder to cause a huge damage just to make movies that far less people give a fuck?Fucking hippie.
