Kino or not, one thing has been bothering me and that is the open plot string left by the 1st film of the Trilogy, "Rise". It serves a homage to the original Planet Of The Apes, when a group of previously stranded astronauts land on a post human-desolated earth now ruled by apes. In "Rise" we see the paperboy throwing these papers reading this headline
Do you think that there may be any sort of continuation to the series? I know everyone is saying "War" is the finale, but I would love to see that loop closed.
I thought we were going to get some foreshadowing or a cliffhanger ending when the final shot of "War" ended with a wide open shot of the sky the way it did. I envisioned a capsule falling in the distance but unnoticed by the apes who are now focused on Caesar.
How amazing would that be?

Remember Heston and friends were in space for 2000 years so it wouldnt make sense for that to happen.
I do want them to close the loop though and they confirmed a 4th one already so I think we will get there eventually. The Apes have to get to Manhattan after all so we have that journey to go through.
I'm curious about it too. The news of the spaceship were quietly in the background on TV as well.
If they did remake the original they would have to do something dramatically different since we've had the three films already.

While I was expecting a capsule to crash at the end, the apes are not far along for that to happen.
Why is this show pure kino? The comic is alright I guess, but this is seriously one of the smartest and most cynical animated TV shows ever made, on the level of Futurama and occasionally Rick and Morty.

He is dressed like a british rockstar / PUA. Irrational overconfidence does wonders for your success, it's a central tenet of pickup artistry
"Who knows more of gods than I? Horse gods and fire gods, gods made of gold with gemstone eyes, gods carved of cedar wood, gods chiseled into mountains, gods of empty air... I know them all. I have seen their peoples garland them with flowers, and shed the blood of goats and bulls and children in their names. And I have heard the prayers, in half a hundred tongues. Cure my withered leg, make the maiden love me, grant me a healthy son. Save me, succor me, make me wealthy... protect me! Protect me from mine enemies, protect me from the darkness, protect me from the crabs inside my belly, from the horselords, from the slavers, from the sellswords at my door. Protect me from the Silence." He laughed. "Godless? Why, Aeron, I am the godliest man ever to raise sail! You serve one god, Damphair, but I have served ten thousand. From Ib to Asshai, when men see my sails, they pray."
Itt: overrated shit

When exactly did he get THINGED
arms bit off during the autopsy iirc

During the autopsy he performed on the thing they brought back from the Norwegian station.
Has anyone else watched the 2011 one and John"s back to back? It's pretty dope.

The Thing id incredibly inconsistent between the two. While the Thing in Carpenters is very slow moving and methodical, preferring to build tensions and let the crew's paranoia do the work for it. The Thing in the prequel, however, behaves like some sort of wild animal, killing whenever it feels like without any real tactics. As well, the Thing in the prequel seems a lot more powerful. In Carpenters, when revealed, while a threat, it was definitely more vulnerable in transformations, while the one in the prequel entered full God mode. If the Thing in Carpenter's was truly the same as the one in the prequel, nobody would've survived the blood test
>same creator for The Wire
Will it be GOAT?
