Good one.

For a man who wanted to preserve the white race, he sure had no problem sending them to their deaths.

Your post is a perfect example.
now that the dust has settled, can we all agree; this isn't as bad as all that?
i mean sure, Burton's colour palette tends toward darker hues with gothic curlicues on every - single - thing so the vista of the chocolate waterfall isn't so magical as the original, and there's no denying that Depp's Wonka is nowhere near so charming as Wilder's
but...
it's not as awful as i remember from when it first came out, and i haven't watched the original in quite some time - though i think i probably will quite soon
so yeah, whatta ya think?
oh and please be gentle, i'm not feeling very well today so it's possible my current opinion is being coloured by toxic shock
~
also; happy if this turns into a Dahl adaptations thread, i've seen them all so AMA
~
also, also; eat my reddit spacing - i'm being a pretentious pseud talking about deep arthouse kino on teh interwebz so its completely appropriate kid
Just watched this. Tom Cruise was really good in it. Solid film from ol' marty scorsese.
Did I like it?

I love this movie so much....terrific soundtrack and perfect ending
Yes you did like it. At the time people accused it of being slight (it was a commercial assignment for Scorsese after Last Temptation fell through, and a sequel), but there's some rich thematic stuff there. It's a movie that gets more resonant for me the older I get.
You should watch The Hustler if you haven't.
This guy walks into your favorite diner and takes a bite out of your food while winking at you, how do you respond?
All-female remake when?
Any OJ Simpson documentaries that show how much of a piece of shit he is and how he did murder his wife? Seriously can't find one. The People vs OJ is full of lies, and OJ made in america is race baiting bullshit!
Watch the 8 hour doc that won the oscar.
It might seem daunting at first but you'll get into it immediately and it's well worth the watch

Oj wrote a book which is pretty much him admitting that he did it.
>>85266089
That's the exact doc he mentioned in his retarded bait post. It does however show that OJ was a 2 faced piece of shit
Did this movie really predict the migrant crisis?
Yes. Sweden is full of vampires nowadays. :(

A behind the scenes look on the process of making films. From the story board and original; writing pieces, to how they get green lit by the studios, the involvement in the studios, casting choices, filming, to post production. In between segments they interview the actors and directors but also those behind the scenes that dont get any recognition like the crew, the editors, musicians, tech guys, ect. All of them explain what they do and any stories or personal qualms they have while they make the movie in real time and what their lives are like. It could be a big block buster, an independent film or both and you cant see the contrast
I think it would be important to show the amount of work that goes on in making a movie and all the different but equally important jobs that might not be the star or the director. This would help a lot of film students or those looking to work in the industry
