>an army led by his former friend, a man knowing for being a cunning master politician that would never choose the losing side, and who left his office as Hand of the King in bad terms with the King is approaching the capital
>you don't listen to your master spy, that you hired solely because he was a foreigner and would not have outside loyalties to anyone in the kingdom apart from the king
>you don't listen to you former hand's own son, that tells you that his own father would never pick the losing side, and should be not allowed in
>you listen to your Grand Maester, who even then is despised and suspected of being a Lannister Mole

I get Aerys was mad, but not that he was so stupid. Unless Pycelle made him mad somehow, or that he knew Tywin would sack the city and just wanted it to burn so he could turn into a dragon
What are some /nuclearkino/ films I can watch?
Have already seen Threads and want to sink my teeth into the genre.
Fail Safe, Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Barefoot Gen, Miracle Mile, Wargames, When the Wind Blows, On the Beach and The War Game.

Well, "Threads" was based on a 1960's hourlong docu-drama called "The War Game," so there's that, if you haven't seen it before. The animated films "Where the Wind Blows" and "Barefoot Gen" are both pretty prominent. Black Rain (the 1989 Japanese film, not the 1989 Ridley Scott film) is another such film.
There are a bunch of others that deal at least partly with nuclear war, like On the Beach, Dr. Strangelove, etc.
Why were the Zanti misfits such dicks? Why didn't they use their exile as an opportunity to build alliances away from their homeworld instead of alienating their new hosts?
Who are some other pretty comedians?
wow hot a what baabhabhiat

More feminist movies like this?
what's with all the rape in 1970s movies?
I watched Bring me the Head of Alfredo Garcia and it is like 40% rape.
Was there some establishment backlash against loose hippy women? Or was this really a female fantasy until the feminists squashed it?

Women like rape, rape and maledom themed movies sell better with the female demographic. Basic marketing for what once was a new and fresh cinemagoer demographic to exploit
>hurrrr the Nazis were bloodthirsty monsters!
Any respect I had of Nolan before is now completely gone

Bad bait, the word "nazi" isn't even uttered in the entire film and you don't see a single german soldier up close.
Try again.
Apparently only anglos can make a ww2 movie without pandering to political biases.

>People say tropes as if theyre funny
not funny

I always wondered where this came from and then I saw a Star Trek episode ``Balance of Terror'' that's where this trope started. The Romulan villain used it when talking to Captain Kirk.
