Sean Hannity is the most insufferable shit in the media. Every other word out of this guy's mouth is "LIBRUL" or "LIBRULISM". Never has he argued without blasting ad hominems or creating straw mans. I'm surprised they let a guy like this, so unashamedly and abusively biased, and completely lacking in integrity, cover the news.

>So yeah, there's a fight scene where Charlize Theron puts on like a face scarf and I think to myself "yes, they're going to use a stun double for this"
>but then by the end of the scene she takes of the mask and it was really her doing the stuns!
I'm not American, nor did I grow up in that timeframe, but Dazed and Confused gave me a very comfy feeling and a longing to relive my highschool life.
Is it still like this in America or was it ever axtually like this?
How do people on /tv/ feel about the movie? Did it remind you of your teenage years or did you feel like you missed out?
>>85601301
I spend my teenage years here on /tv/.
so yea I guess I missed out on all that shit.
like a little bit as I was among the last teenagers to experience life without social media and the internet, but it was really designed to hit home with people who are around fifty now.
bill and ted, napoleon dynamite, and everything between them in setting hits a lot closer to home with me, since I was born in the eighties. most people on this board probably lived their teenage years through screens and smartphones and had entirely different experiences.
maybe it hit closer to home with you because you live in a shitty second world country where running around doing drugs and messing with people is the best thing there is to do or something, I dunno.

The younger kids hanging out with the older group was accurate. The keggers happens, the burnout geek was accurate. Not sure about the hazing because I'm not from Texas.
This is one of the most fucked up movies I remember the misfortune of seeing as a child. So, if it was just a horror movie, then fine. But it sells itself as a comedy, and it's got a lot of goofiness to it. But it's not lighthearted at all. It's got drugs, rape, sex, body horror, gore. They wrap up people in cocoons, and it's not immediately clear in the film whether they're okay or dead (they turn out fine in the end). The dog horrifying transforms into a bug creature. The girl gets pregnant, lays an egg, and someone stomps on it. This looks and feels more like a horror movie.
Plus they're shape shifting eco-terrorists, whose goal is to make a nuclear power plant melt down and kill as many people as possible.
Do I want to actually re-watch it? Was it actually that weird and scary, or was it just because I was 10?

Yes, same director and same disturbing tone, looking at the dark underbelly of surburban whites.
