I've heard good things about True Detective, is it kino? Any thoughts on this show?
it's peak telekino
caspere knew this

The first season is excellent. The second season not so much, it might as well be an entirely different show.
Tickle us do we not laugh...trick us do we not bleed...wrong us...shall we not revenge...

How come there's hull damage before the shields are down?
>>85958499
That ship is sexy
>>85958544
All these years I always assumed shield rebound....but no idea in reality.
How does Chris Evans do this with his eyebags? Absolutely nothing else on his face shifts except for his eyebags. Is this some masterful acting or a digital trick?
>>85958388
I mean, you'd think at least his lower eyelid would shift, that's the muscle right? How the fuck is he just inflating his bags? Try it in a fucking mirror right now, I'll wait. It's impossible! There's no fucking isolated muscle for this shit, this is ridiculous how is this happening?
It's very easy to do, idiot.
That's why he's Captain America and you're not.
Why was Travis so opposed to a consensual business transaction between consenting adults and a responsible post-pubescent woman capable of making her own decisions?
Because he's not a fucking moral cesspit. Only vermin find this acceptable.
Absolutely disgusting.

There was still so much to do. We had so much more to learn, now we'll never get the chance
Rules:
NO PICKLES!
NO (((Hollywood)))
My pick: This October, the most expensive Finnish film ever made: "Tuntematon sotilas" (Unknown Soldier). 3rd remake of the book by Väinö Linnan.
Promises to be the most loyal version to the book.

"Mellow Mud" "Es esmu šeit" Latvia

Saw "Tom of Finland" last week, pretty kino

Boom
Why the fuck are there pickle rick threads all over 4chan?
Drawn Together suffered from people seeing it as another crude outrage animation when it was actually pretty kino with layered humor and poignant references/parodies. If it had aired in 2010+ it would be been a hit.
It was a hit
Not every show needs to run for ten years
>>85957968
It got hiatus'd and eventually axed ungracefully and it didn't even have enough popularity for a single fansite better than a shitty forum.

>I have no creativity so I will try humor through references and pop culture
american entertainment everyone

Dropped.
Why is she so rude to people and ignoring them
What's the purpose of the little girl?
What's the point of the out-of-place comic relief monkey?
Why does Caesar's development feel cheap and lazy?
Why are everyone's lines so shit?
Why does Caesar go through this shitty character arc that comes out of nowhere and doesn't really help to expand the story of this trilogy?
Why can't this movie pick a tone and stick to it?
Why does this feel like 3 films splashed into one?
Why did they need the monkeys to do slave work?
Why did that never go anywhere?
Why did the movie feel so rushed?
What's the point of the JRPG-esque beginning?
Why does the Colonel's fate feel unsatisfying and ultimately not well worked?
What's with the latest mutation of the virus that makes men monkeys? Why did that also not go anywhere?
Why is the finale such a huge fucking clusterfuck?
Why is this movie so shit? The previous two were great.
Bad Ape showed that the apes beyond the original San Francisco population were smart too.
the little girl was to show that some mute humans remain intelligent.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXkpCGwN31Y
why do people think this one is the best of the 3?
that's the most amazing thing
Is the audience supposed to cheer for the apes? I never saw the first two and I wanted that general guy to gas Curious George the whole time. During a real apocalypse wouldn't you want all the monkeys dead? And how did they take over the world in the first place? Even if apes became as smart as humans, nearly every species is critically endangered and we could easily wipe them out very quickly.
Is there seriously anyone who likes Tulip?
I swear she's one of the most insufferable cunts I've ever seen and I thought everyone in Preacher was supposed to be assholes. She takes it to a whole new level.
Season 2 is doing a fine job of making me hate her with every episode.
>>85957375
I literally stopped watching the show because of her.
And that she's another brownwashing of a canonicaly white character.
And that she's ugly.
>>85957375
Yeah shes borderline annoying, but at least for me, gets saved because she acts like a naive qt sometimes. Plus her dialogue with Jessie is decent. That said Jesse, the grand scale ofthe story and pic related makes it easy to gloss over her.
>>85957434
I expected to hate her for the brownwashing but the actress does a decent job of conveying a truly broken person. You can see moments where she wants to be a better person but just doesn't have it in her.
I don't mind that she's ugly either. Frankly, having a piss-poor orphan loser that also happened to be drop dead gorgeous would have been weird.
ITT: directors who have never made a good movie
>>85957321
Christopher Nolan
>>85957321
Kevin Smith
Adam Sandler
I would say Michael Bay, but I actually haven't seen any of his movies. I just have a feeling.
I'll be useless sir

He helped a bit
The "Hero at Dunkirk" died by bumping his head hours before they even arrived at Dunkirk.
He's dead mate...
Now that the dust bowl of butthurt has settled I think we can all agree that this is actually pretty good
i can agree that i didnt watch this faggot shit
>>85956926
I would't know desu
Was it really? I watched the first episode and it was pretty boring. It was just the movie in tv format. I'm assuming it does its own thing at some point, right?
It's a comfy night at /tv/ Inn.
