..
And this is my sons room, Hes a big movie buff!
Thanks for letting me stay in the presidential suite here at the Tops Casino, Benny. Now what did you want to discuss with me?
BUY ME A SWITCH DAD
>Beginning of the movie
>Protagonist is happy/content with their life
>New character comes in
>They are hostile to each other at first, but through their trials become friends
>It is revealed that the main character has deceived or in someone wronged the other
>The other abandons the main character
>In a time of need they return
>Problem resolved and the main character is even happier now with a new friend/changing experience
Why is this specific structure more popular in animated movies (Pixar specifically)? Off the top of my head Cars, Up, Monsters Inc and even Toy Story follow this path. Is it just the best for children to relate to?

You missed out pretty much always being about getting lost then going home.
But Pixar movies aren't really focused plot. They have an obvious formula but you could never say all those movies are the same.
What makes them unique and interesting is the setting and characters and there's nothing wrong with that

>Is it just the best for children to relate to?
Yes.
It's baby's first character peogression
What if a student of hogwarts used the avada kedavra curse?
Is the wizard society vile enough to send a child to azkaban?
it wouldnt work
99% of children cant work such a spell due to lack of hatred. You need absolute hatred to use it correctly or it fails.
>>86279674
What about abused kids
>>86279674
I thought it was indifference to life.
Like, you could cast the spell on a cockroach or some shit.
Daylight, come. Daylight, go.
>>86279102
Season 1 was perfect, Kevin was the only good part of 2+3
>>86279202
>not Nora and Matt
I agree with season 1 being the best though.
bumping good thread
>Dan Harmon says it's his least favorite episode of the new season
>turns out to be by far the best episode of the new season so far
Reminder that Harmon is television cancer
>watch reddity and memefuck
>>86335256
It was a joke you fucking mongoloid
>>86335256
I love the bbc
>the first movie to kick off a shared cinematic universe

>>86334292
Agreed. This show is a fucking waste of time.
I am so fucking based.
>>86334401
Every episode that comes we say is awful and yet we keep watching it and making threads about it. How long until we just fucking ignore this show altogether?
>mfw just found out a friend got done for not having a tv licence
not even memeing
do you know anyone who thought they could get away with it?
>>86279002
wat?
>>86279002
yeah, me, and i can
>>86279002
Got away with it for a year at uni. Never responded to any calls or letters and left no forwarding address when I left. Easy
does anybody want to start rewatching the office together
we'd watch an episode a night or something
i got the hankering and thought it'd be fun to watch with others
Let's do Friends instead, way more potential for making fun of stuff and comfy 90's life.
>>86278918
I really like that idea. Someone could stream Friends the same time everynight like 2 or 3 eps
i've never seen friends but it seemed kitschy
i chose the office because i was jiving with it in particular nowadays
Why did I get memed on? This is pure kino
>>86278549
>speed up/slow down CGI action
>kino
>likes shitty films
>uses the word kino unironically
This checks out
>>86278588
>>86278776
>simpleton reddit minds
BEHOLD /tv/ THE MOTHER OF
>FUCKING WYVERNS
>>86331599
>using some random ass definition of wyveryn
>>86331654
There's nothing random about it
DRAGON
>4 legs
>2 wings
WYVERN
>2 legs
>2 winged arms
>>86332048
FICTION DON'T GIVE A SHIT
DRAGON'S DON'T EXIST
THERE IS NO MORPHOLOGY FOR DRAGONS
BECAUSE DRAGONS
DO
NOT
EXIST.
/tv/ had a decent Wes Anderson thread yesterday, are you excited for his upcoming animated movie?
His movies are god tier for a cute, comfy night with a qt.
Me and my gf are watching The Grand Budapest Hotel for our date night.
>>86278520
I bet you enjoy the films of Wes Anderson.
>>86278623
You sound like someone who has to put on sunscreen inside
What's a movie you watch at least once a year?
Reading different theories about "The Great Other", one theme seems to be pretty common: We're wayyy to late in the game to introduce a brand new character as the big-bad. If Azor Ahai is literally one of the characters we already know and love, then it just wouldn't be nearly as heavy if The Great Other wasn't also someone we know.
Nearly everything he has done so far in the story has significantly strengthened the Night King's hand.
His backstory goes that he was a maester studying at the citadel (you know, the big center of all knowledge and the one place you would definitely want to go if you were the big bad guy in disguise), but got kicked out for meddling in necromancy and other super dark stuff. He just so happens to join the Brave Companions, who just so happen to end up at Harrenhall just in time for Qyburn to become Roose Bolton's new Maester after torturing/killing the last one.
Fast forward a bit, and Jaime ends up in Harrenhall badly wounded. Guess who is there to treat his wounds, and ingratiate himself to Jaime in the process? As a result of his interactions with Jaime, he ends up all the way in Kings Landing, where he somehow RAISES THE MOUNTAIN FROM DEATH AS A CAPTIVE WIGHT. The Mountain is not alive again in the same sense as Jon or anyone else raised by the lord of light, he's just a giant fucking thoughtless zombie that obeys Qyburn's every order. (Kind of like the wights...)
Once he's achieved power in Kings Landing, he immediately starts destabilizing the realm. Sure, blowing up the Sept of Baelor helped Cersei, but it also definitely helped the Night King.
One of the biggest threats to the Night King are probably Dany's dragons. Guess who just built a giant dragon-killing crossbow? (Also don't be so sure Drogon is alright, I'd bet anything Qyburn coated those arrows in poison of some sort.)
Also, Qyburn is simply perfectly evil-chique. Look at him, he dresses and looks like Emperor fucking Palpatine.
Doesn't it just all seem to fit perfectly?
>>86278123
The ending will be shit and you will eat it up happily.
>>86278123
Dany is going to be fat and win and lord her fatness over everyone else and probably get tattoos and dye her hair

>>86277791
Just like Wonder Woman, right marvelcuck? And when that came out, it was better than at least 6 MCU films. More industry bullshit from the (((Mouse))) to discourage WB and DC.
>>86277791
Too dark? Should have ramped up the brightness of the screen
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH EL JUSTO
