The thing that all bad cape films suffer from these days is trying to hard to be advertisements for other films.

If they focus on having an actual complete film, from start to end, using/mentioning only the characters in the actual film then it might actually turn out to be okay.

The Mummy tried to set one up and even with Cruise headlining it bombed.

King Arthur was supposed to be 6 movies but bombed.

D.C. is doing alright from the good will of WW but I doubt it'll last.

The Dark Tower tried to set one up too but it also tanked.
