I bought three DVD sets with technicolor traveltalks even though they were like 30 bucks each (amazon burns them on demand). But if you don't have a bit of picture quality you can't appreciate the glorious technicolor. literally 11/10 comfy af

I used to like the fucked up eyes when I was a kid. It made 1984 Goji look like a mindless animal. When Biollante came out it was like his half decade jail time in the volcano made him smarter and sentient. His fight with the Super X 2 showed that he still wasn't very bright though. By the time MechaGodzilla II shows up he's showing signs of memory and forethought evidenced by his raised eyebrow at MechaGodzilla's entrance. By the Destoroyah movie we realize he's capable of feeling emotion too.
The whole arc is like Godzilla following a path to enlightenment only to be die the moment he's smart enough to question his own existence.

I just watched the American version of this yesterday, what's with all the stupid shit with making the Russians evil? Like the Japanese version made it seem like both the us and Russia were nervous but hypocritical about the situation because they'd nuke Tokyo but never do the same to Washington or Moscow. The us cut just cuts out all the meaningful Cold War stuff and just makes Russia flat out evil.

Also a shame that the rest of the Heisei movies after biollante never tried to tackle any real issues because some guy was mad back to the future 2 beat biollante

The mid 80s were a high point in the Cold war. Godzilla movies were not important enough for faithful dubs. I don't think the original dub editors even understood the story and just remade it into something they could get their heads around while taking the opportunity to make commies look bad. That's why the entire story is cut to shit and most of it flat out removed.

Of course. For one, because of the cast involved. But also because they derailed Francis' development as a character because the show is about unlucky people and how they fuck everything up themselves.
However, it seems unrealistic that Francis would get fired by Otto after everything they have gone through. Instead of developing from that and starting somewhere else (if they really wanted to remove the farm), they could easily have just bought the ranch themselves or become self-employed or any of that.

I'd bet it'll be dead once fox inevitably pulls it from netflix for their own redundant streaming service like they did with american dad. As it is it takes forever for a new season to appear on netflix so I bet they are gearing up to start shaving away seasons.

People are so used to watched it that way that it'll quickly fade away when no one utilizes fox streaming unless of course it gets the futurama treatment and is endlessly spammed on cable.

An adult man with no people to care for, or people who care about him, is bad, is what he means I think.
I think it's becoming more of the norm though, especially in an age where the middle class is slowly disappearing, having a family is unsustainable, more entertainment than ever makes you want less responsibity, and laws that discriminate men by default make one not want to get involved with a woman at all, let alone have children with them.

The pursuit of said goals is what drives us. However individuals fail to realize that the consequence of obtaining a goal is the need to begin again.

A family provides a center of sustainability. You take on the goals of your wife and children and help them. Through this you may then have purpose and a constant drive.

Without this, after you reach the goals you set for your life, placing the desire for a family by the wayside as you do, you have to face the reality of what I mentioned prior.
