Care to explain this?
Are the greatest storytellers humankind has to offer simply cognitively bankrupt? Why has every popular fiction story over the last century included this doomPlot?
Sure it looks stupid when you over simplify it like that, it's the means they achieve the end and side stories that make them great.
Also, geeks are too autistic to understand more complex plots so good vs evil is as basic as it is for them

Nice attempt at imblication but Judaism is matrilinear.
Let's discuss Stannis lads
Fuck don't remind me. I watched the season finale last night and the first thing after the credits ended was Stephen Delaines face, same Stannis hair set to an all black background. I almost pissed myself until I realised it was a trailer for his new show on Sky Atlantic
Will return as leader of the Golden Company
Are the first two Godfather's really "The greatest films ever made"? They're good but I wouldn't consider them life-changing films. They're nothing more than genre films, If you're not into the mafia-genre your gonna have a hard time getting into them. I think people over value due to the large Italian-American viewers
>>87010724
>life-changing films
>>87010724
The Godfather was a breath of fresh air. Hollywood was very stale in the '60s (the best film from that decade were foreign from filmmakers such as Sergio Leone and Ingmar Bergman), so it was nice to see a more gritty and original picture. And the good thing is, is that it still holds up by todays standards. The beautiful soundtrack, the three dimensional characters, Willis' phenomenal soundtrack.. it's a package of great content, with interesting themes spread throughout the three hours of this film.
Maybe it's a bit overrated, and it's certainly not for everyone, but I think it's quite safe to say that this film is a great accomplishment in cinema and in modern art.
>>87010724
You're saying this out of historical context though. You live in a world where the impact of these movies has permeated into pop culture itself.
Not to mention the mafia was still a big deal then.
Is this correct?
>no Pickle Rick
Disregard.

You know they literally pay services for that?
Services that use Indians and Bangladeshis to upvote that shit.
There is a pretty good docu about buy likes out there, but I can't remember the name.
Yes it is. Here's my screenshot to prove it.
MFW TV is the GoT board and there's nothing the hotheads/Twin Peaks redditors/underage sneed spammer can do about it no matter how much they cry
mfw sucks now and has sucked since s5
why do I even try
I get the Kurosawa blu-ray collection and put on blood throne. I explain its Macbeth in nip land so they can follow along even with out paying attention.

>lol who did her eye-brows
I just wanted to show them a good movie is that so fucking hard
>>87010674
Don't even bother. I only watch kino by myself or with my brother, who's actually into movies (e.g., he watches TCM constantly and reads books about cinema). When I am with other people I just put on the sort of garbage that I "watch" while cleaning my house or playing video games.
>>87010674
no point in trying
if you do want to try though you need to go with toe in the water films like the lobster along with current oscar nominees before you get into any actual kino
