Anyone else find it strange that Gimli or Legolas have practically no real closure for their characters at the end of ROTK?
Yeah, they never revealed their political ideologies
>>87018712
In the books Legolas just randomly starts singing about the sea and then walks away
>>87018712
Their closure was mostly in epilogue. Gimli takes legolegs to the glittering caves, legolas takes gimli into fangorn. Gimli establishes a dwarven colony in the glittering caves, legolas an elven colony in ithilien. Then eventually legolas builds a boat and the two sail off to valinor.
The point is that they became friends.

Starship Troopers
>When Lord Tywin Lannister found out from the septon a fortnight later, he had Jaime tell Tyrion that Tysha was a whore who had been paid to make Tyrion a man. Tywin then had her gang raped by his guards in their barracks; for each guard, he gave her a silver. To drive the lesson home, Tywin forced his son to be the last man, for whom Tysha was paid a gold coin, because Lannisters were worth more.

>She and Jean-Paul Sartre developed a pattern, which they called the "trio", in which de Beauvoir would seduce her students and then pass them on to Sartre.[26] De Beauvoir and Sartre would both take part in political campaigns to abolish the age of consent laws for sexual relationships in France.

Anybody watched the most recent episode?
Is the "race to create the search engine" plot going to be a satisfying way to conclude the show?
>>87018403
the macguffin they use to drive the plot is just cover for allegories and character relationships that they want to explore.

I thought they were making computers. Or were they making Doom? The internet? I don't even fucking know anymore.

What did you all think of thr Tim and Eric Anniversary Special last night?
I give it a C, smirked a few times but most of it fell flat. The fact they find people opening mouths then altering their voice to be very deep as "funny" is concerning
>>87018178
same
feel as if they should have done something more special. it's fine if they don't want to make it a big comeback, but it felt like a mediocre episode of the awesome show.
Seemed too much like a "remember these characters" instead of something fresh.
Also, instead of seeing Tim and Eric as these absurdist comedy duo, their shtick felt very formulaic/calculated this time around, almost like a 21st century surreal Stooges
I genuinely believe Tims obsession with Drumpf has hurt his comedic sensibilities, even if this episode had nothing to do with He hasnt been the same since.
>>87018178
the problem is that tim and eric has always been really hit or miss, and the recurring gags and characters plus the hit/miss nature works fantastic in a series of ten minute episodes but don't lend themselves well at all to a special. They didn't do any funny new skits or ideas, or even put funny unexpected twists on old ideas, it just felt like I was watching an unremarkable episode of the original show.
will their offspring be a bastard dragon name Drago Sand?
