Hey /trv/, real talk time.
I live in the EU with my girlfriend, I am amerifag. I live here on a partnership visa (basically we proved we're in a long term relationship and live together and share assets). I'm allowed to be here on that visa for 5 years.
And now the shit: we just broke up. Anyone have any advice here? If they find out I'm not living with her anymore, instant fine and deportation. Obvious choice is: go back to Donald Trumps playground (my native country). Any ideas? Has this sort of thing ever happened to you? I'm really hurting here, be gentle.

Find a job and get a visa that way. Look up how long you are allowed to stay in your current situation, probably at least a month.

I know people who were in this situation. The way they got to stay in the EU after their breakup was getting their ex to tell the authorities that they were still together. Idk how messy the breakup was, but it might be worth asking your ex girlfriend for help.

I would be careful about that. You are giving your ex a lot of power over you. What happens if she gets jealous or is out for revenge?
