>>1066996 Get a job on a ship. One with loose cargo, so it takes a while to unload will give you more time in port. My friend who actually had skills they needed got one week to travel in country for every three weeks of work.
There WAS this one guy that spent $100 on a three month Euro trip, but he was eating out of garbage bins and hitching everywhere. If you're prepared to do that, go ahead, but I don't see how you could possibly cross any oceans this way. Get a job on a ship maybe?
Consider WWOOF and that other farm work for lodging site in the sticky.
You can travel at any budget, but as low as 300$ is going to be harsh without additional income.
I suggest reading blogs of Eastern European travelers. A majority of them are budget travelers and some do it on extremely small amounts. There's this now famous guy in Poland who traveled across all of Russia for like $200 while recording it all on his gopro.
>>1067656 Jeeze man, I enjoy tripping (probably do it at least 6 times a year) but I guess since I've dealt with someone who went psychotic during the middle of our mushroom trip doing large amounts makes me nervous. Mostly because I'm worried someones going to freakout again and I never want to feel as helpless as I did during that mushroom trip.
>>1067208 You get to Europe with zero money and no return ticket, they'll probably send you straight home and there goes your $300 At least for the UK I guarantee they'd send you home. Someone told me the Netherlands has a policy of admitting Americans no matter what but that might be bs.
>>1067302 >Flights will be impossible, True. >so a job on a cargo ship? Nope. As used to get posted on /trv/ every couple of weeks, freighters haven't taken random casuals off the docks in a hundred years. Merchant mariners need training, licenses, health certifications, and experience, not least because shipping companies need multimillion-dollar insurance policies.
