Also looking for advice on islands and beaches Should i go to phuket or ao nang?

Will be traveling with girlfriend so partying and picking up chicks isnt main priority.

Ao nang looks beautiful but from what i have read there isnt much to do and is trashy!?
Phuket seems like there is a lot to do but beaches arent as picturesque.

I can't help you with Thailand because I haven't been there myself but from the stories I hear I can advise you to pick another country. Thailand is super touristic. I would recommend Indonesia every island except for bali is amazing.

Saw Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia in five weeks. Could have gone slower, certainly was more to see. but I didn't feel that rushed. Travel by road or rail is slow, especially Cambodia. But Cambodia was also my favorite.

Seems patong in Phuket is trashy are there anymore authentic towns that have plenty of bars and restaurants in phuket.
