Is it possible to get a bag of weed thru inspection as a carry-on item? Just a normal, within the USA point-to-point flight.

Yeah do it mate, fuck "The Man" right?

Are you dense? Of course not.

Its absolutely possible, as they screen for explosives and weapons not drugs typically. You would also be monumentally stupid for attempting this. If they find it you're going straight to jail.

Finally made it to Hanoi! Have two weeks here alone before my gf meets up with me. Currently staying alone in a nice condo in Trung Hoa, near the edge of Dong Da.

I'm an American and my Vietnamese is shit, but I can get around to a degree on my own and have the apps and wits to get around town.

Just curious to find out what places anyone liked visiting, whether it was cultural, food, or whatever it might be. I know a few of the basic hotspots to ramble over to. Even if the Mausoleum was your favorite place, go ahead and say it! I have no one share my enthusiasm with at the moment (except drunkards in Bat Dan), so feel free to share your experiences and suggestions!

Hello anon, hope you're having a good time in Hanoi!

I'm planning to go myself before the end of the year as my first solo trip. How hard is it to get around and what apps do you use?

I'm afraid as a first time traveller I'm going to land there, immediately regret my decision and screw up everything so tell me some stories of your successes and things you've enjoyed so far.

you have to help me /trv/, I went into morocco on a whim from spain and now I'm at a dead end

flights are really expensive here for some reason, and the country seems disconnected from it's neighbors

it's just 50 degree heat, minor chimp outs, thieving monkey people and sand here
25 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
You're in the friendliest country on earth, and one of the most beautiful. To find sand in Morocco you have to drive multiple days through forests and snowcapped mountains. Gotta wonder what it takes to satisfy you.
What do you mean flights are expensive? You can fly to pretty much any country in Europe for less than 100 euro. If you want to get to America, look for flights out of Casa.
Perk up.

dont tell me what to do!! I dont have to help anyone!

smiling doesn't make people friendly, today six people tried to cheat me variously.
dishonestly is a way of life here, and it's exausting, for a day or two it's a novelty, but I'm sick of being overcharged for a handfull of beans, someone insisting I pay 15DM to load luggage on a bus, pretending not to speak english, "this way closed', "where you stay", the motherfukers try to short change me literally three or four times a day

and as for the sand, let me assure you I am in it.

the flights here are way too expensive, short inter-cirt flights are like 80 euro, and international flights cost twice as much as inter-european flights.
sure I can do paris for 120euro, but I can take six flights out of paris for that much

Maltabro here. I want to move to Ireland.
But I don't want to be just another tiresome foreigner and economic parasite.
I want to build a home there and make relationships that matter with people.
How does one integrate well within Irish society? What tv should I watch to help speed up the nuances of modern irish popular culture? What reliable news source can I pass comments about without getting odd stares? Can I get by without caring for footie? What are the big no-nos? What are the unwritten obligations? Do young folks do much other than drink at pubs? How does one meet new people in Ireland?
I really want to put effort into this. I want to behave, but not sure how.

Easy ways to integrate with Ireland, talk about how hurley should be banned and more time should be focused on football so Ireland can play better.

Anytime someone mentions northern ireland, just spit and say they are all English.

Temble bar is the most authentic irish pub.

Cork and Limerick are objectively the best irish places, always say this.

The preconception of Ireland that you probably have in your head doesn't exist anymore. It ended in the early 2000s when the government brought in hundreds of thousands of economic migrants to fuel the housing bubble at the time. The expansion of the EU in 2004 made a bad situation even worse and now Polish is more widely spoken on the island than our native Irish language.

Thousands of years of culture flushed down the drain for a few quick shekels. This is veering into a political discussion so I'll leave it there. Pic related is a school in Balbriggan, a town north of Dublin.

at least there is space to escape the rising tide. I cannot do this at home in Malta. no space.
I feel a degree of guilt in being a part of the problem. But I'm European, Catholic and want to be respectful to my Irish hosts.
Are there nationalist groups that would take me in? I could be their Guido Fawkes. An honorary celt.
Really I just want to be surrounded by white people, and Ireland is the whitest English speaking European country. You can criticise this for being political, but white flight is a form of travel.

>redpill me on vacation in Central Asia

I have done tons of research on the area, and it seems like such a mysterious place. The allure of it is really tempting me, however when I sit down and try to work out an actual itinerary it ends up being a lot of time spent travelling between spots and without there being much to do once I get to the destinations. Is there actually enough to do/see/experience there to warrant a full vacation?

A lot of outdoors stuff and silk road history in the right places, plus just spending time in the cities is interesting for a few days since the culture is so different and it's kind of interesting see all the post soviet quirks. If your not from the u.s or are cool with a guide if your from u.k/ Canada Iran is a good add on as well with a lot of history, good food and friendly people.

God I wish I had dual nationality. UK here, know I can get in Iran with a guide but being visa free on something like a German or Polish passport would be so much easier.

Turkmenistan may be difficult. Currently have trouble paying it's bills as Iran (I think) has stopped buying it's gas. Plus it's essentially a dictatorship.

This is their almighty.

Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan all look like good best though. Easy to get into via Turkey or Hungary.

I just realized that traveling with friends is a nice way to either make friendships stronger or totally destroy them.

Currently in Portugal with one of my foreign friends and it's getting unbearable:

>has extremely high expectations of everything and sees everything as boring or negative
>throwing tantrums like a kid when he doesn't get what he wants
>gets pissed off because I didn't give him breakfast with sweet stuff like croissants and etc.
>currently staying at the house of a relative without paying a dime and gets pissed because he expects this to be a hotel
>been driving him around and showing him stuff and he doesn't want to help me pay for gas
>expects people to do everything for him
>he's 29 years old

Jesus Christ. Have you ever had similar experiences?

What are some good cities for nightlife? Any clubs/lounges in particular that you like?
I'm in New York and even though I live here, I'm also open to suggestions for here as well.

That being said, I'm more likely to visit places within the US in the near future, but I'd also like the hear about other countries as well.

I was recently in Montreal and liked it a lot, but I was with my family so I didn't get the chance to go out as much I wanted to. What are some good clubs there?

On or off the strip?
>>
>>1276916
Freemont Street Experience. It's off the strip, in the old part of Vegas so you have a little old-style degeneracy but thats mostly a facade to the quaint origins of Vegas. It's a pedestrian zone built around the old casinos of the area with a closed-off top that functions as a screen where they play live music/movies on.

I'm going to travel to London for a week at the end of the month with my gf. We've already been there twice and did most of the regular tourist stuff.

Is there anything cool to do or see that isn't mentioned often?
Especially one or two nice places for a date?

Also - does anyone know if cinemas in London are going to show the Game of Thrones season finale? If yes - how and where do I get tickets?
If no - what's the best way to see it there?
We probably won't be able to wait until we're home and don't want to risk getting spoilered.

btw. we're from Germany

Just out of curiosity, why are you going to London again? Why didn't you want to go somewhere else?
>>
>>1286116
it's our favourite city and there are a few things we really enjoy there

for example eating at the borough market or visiting the tate modern (I have spend at least 100 hours there). visiting shops that sell used books is also fun.

this is going to be our last london trip for a while though. tokio is probably our next travel target.

Would there be problems with visiting there considering the ongoing blockade?

It wasn't exactly hard to get in before, you just got a visa on arrival. There isn't really that much to see in Qatar, it's like a smaller version of Dubai that's still under construction.
