What's the best hotel to stay at in Vegas?
36 posts and 1 images submitted.

That New Orleans, themed one. Slightly off the strip, but as a result the rooms are cheaper. Also, they supposedly have the best buffet, which is a Las Vegas staple second only to the gambling.

Pretty sure you posted it. But if you plan on eating at where you stay a lot then maybe Mandalay Bay. I've never stayed at the Belagio but heard plenty of good things too.

Bellagio very nice (just stayed there 3 days in April) but has slipped the last few years. Definitely from MGM cutting corners. Depending on OP's age/interests Cosmo is a good choice

>tfw you finally realise that "Digital Nomading" is just a scam used by Internet marketing shysters to sell an impossible dream to desperate and gullible people.

I have finally accepted it. Unfortunately, I am not some aspie developer earning a shit ton of cash who can just up sticks and work remotely and live like a King in Chiang Mai. The only alternative was to go down the "passive" income route, and what a fucking rabbit hole that turned out to be. Just shysters selling info products and an endless swarm of losers like me in a race to the bottom.

I will never be able to live a location independent lifestyle. I'll never be one of those lucky fucks who can earn remotely and live in Asia. Wage slavery is my life and therefore, travelling and living abroad is now an impossible dream.

Sorry, senpai.

I however and currently living the meme. Been at it for 4 months since I landed a creative position at a startup on top of my freelance stuff. And I hardly code, just write words and come up with policies/strategy.

That said, the past 4 months I have only traveled in the US (home cunt) and Mexico in my car, so expenses are way lower. I have a one-way ticket to Europe this summer, so that's when I'll really test it. I expect to lose money over the period, but it'll be a great trip.

1. You don't need that much to live in Asia. $1500/month after taxes is enough to live comfortably in Thailand.

2. You won't start making money without putting in the effort.

Does anyone here wear a money belt? Is it good and comfortable for you?

I normally wear a neck wallet to store important stuff but now I am thinking about a money belt because my neck wallet is quite bulky and apparent, even though I feel safe with it.

Yeah, I do. I don't even feel it really and I'm always anal about clothing annoyances, to the point where I wear my socks on the wrong side because the seams piss me off. Money belts are perfectly fine.
>>
Me too. I use a "money strap" or a "running belt" basically a strap with a small, stretchy pouch where you can fit some credit cards and cash. If you are not wearing see-through or very tight clothing you can't really see it.

Pic attached is the brand I use, "spibelt". I think its designed for joggers more than sex tourists though.

Anyone have any recommendations on fun things to do in any of these cities? I'm visiting my friend who is in France for school and we are travelling around for two weeks. Obviously we will try and see a few big attractions but if anyone knows anywhere really cool in these cities it would be very appreciated!

Holy shit, you bongs come up with the most interesting racial slurs sometimes.

No need to worry about personal safety in Arizona. They actually rank around #2 out of the 50 states in terms of firearms/carry/self-defense rights.

>>1247233
Aye, I didn't mean it to be a slur whatsoever but I've heard that there are a lot of Mexicans in Arizona and I figured there'd be some cartel type shit there.

I will be traveling to Seoul this summer to to visit a friend for a week or two, I was wondering what people on this board think of it. Is the city fun or depressing? Is there anything cool you saw or did that you would recommend? Any general tips or advice on South Korea would be great.

Get ready for an endless flurry of "Japan is better" posts.
>>
>>1247146
Seoul is my favorite city in Asia apart from Taipei. It's like Tokyo, but with:

-friendlier locals
-locals who are less jaded by Western tourists
-less tourists (particularly the annoying weebs you get in Japan)
-cheaper prices

Personally I think the food is better too, but that is of course personal preference.
>>
>>1247693
Hell yeah, Taipei seems great. I've only been there for a few days for work trips, but its seems quite laid back. Whats your opinion on it?

Considering living there for a while.

What are /trv/'s favorite things to do, see and eat in Mexico City? I'm going for 2-3 weeks next month, my first time. Is it as big of a bargain as it seems?
Any advice or recs would be greatly appreciated.

Tequila is too mainstream, you should try mezcal and pulque (the beverage of gods). There are plenty of places to go out downtown, in La Roma and La Condesa, to hang out and dance. I would recommend you visiting Chapultepec, Coyoacan, San Angel and Tlalpan, all of them places full of history. Also Teotihuacan pyramids is a must! Overall food is cheap (unless you go to expensive posh restaurants) and there are tacos in each street corner. Also downtown there are some cheap hostels. With 25 bucks you could live like a king sightseeing and drinking incluided. Also weed is cheap here.

What are your summer plans? Post countries, itineraries, future highlights, travel details etc. Critique or rate other posters and maybe get some tips yourself.

I'll be meeting up with my gf in the UK.
>10 days in London while she finished her job
>11 days in southern Germany visiting old friends, going to Documenta 14 in Kassel and a sculpture festival in Muenster (gf in Portugal at this time)
>~8 days in southern Portugal
Is south of Portugal nice? This is the one part of the trip where we'll have easy beach access. Want to do some nice rural nature walking and swimming. 4 days will be taken up with work, beyond that how many days do you think I'd need to see and do the right amount?
>Fly from Faro to Rome (two nights)
>Take the train to Venice (9 nights) to visit the Biennale
>Stay two nights in rural Switzerland with a friend's parents
>~5 days in northern Germany (Hamburg, some shit music festival in Schleswig-Holstein)
>Return to UK for festival in Wales
>Help GF move her things to Holland, spend a week getting her situated/traveling in the Netherlands

I'll be visiting Poland with a friend.
Can't give exact details for now, i'm just gathering information but the main idea is to alternate between hostel life and national parks. So if anyone could share experiences i'll be glad.
We're interested in Kraków, Poznan and Gdansk.
>>
>>1249143
What are the national parks like in Poland? It's funny because as an American, my domestic traveling is always routed around national parks. But in Europe things couldn't be more different. Not that there aren't stunning natural locales in Europe (Alps, fjords, Spanish desert), but they just aren't as immersive or extensive. I try to get a little bit of nature when I am in Europe, but it is just a totally different level than America.
>>
>>1249137
Working but come April next year I'll have loads of money and plan on taking a three month trip through Europe.

>Maybe UK
>Netherlands
>France
>Spain
>Switzerland
>Bosnia
>Serbia
>Montenegro
>Kosovo
>Albania
>Macedonia
>Ukraine
>Latvia
>Lithuania

Gotta hit those. Secondary is Bulgaria, Turkey, Finland and Russia via Finland. Sorry know this is next summer but since I gotta work all summer 50 hours a week with no days off besides weekends I need to motivate myself. Still planning everything out but I got plenty of time to come up with my route.

I'm a male, 27, overall good shape, just shy of having a six pack. Traveling to Australia in August and looking for some things to do and also to find some girls to have sex with. Is there a good dating site for Australia that US doesn't use? Looking for a new girl each night.

Also travel tips. Staying in down town Sydney.

Tinder is the default hookup app. However if you don't normally succeed with Tinder at home then don't expect to in Australia. Assuming you're American, the girls in Australia are not nearly as easy.

t. Kiwi who has travelled to Australia but not America and still had more luck with American girls.
>>
lmfao

"just shy of a six pack"

As a dinky di aussie, you're going to be torn down hard over here. Every cunt and his nanna lifts here, if you're not already 2/3/4/5 level you will be babby skeleton mode. Heading out in DT syd means competing with carpet lifters, pro aussie rules players, and joocy brahs on the bike.

I sincerely doubt you will av 1 new notch a week, let alone daily

That said, I wish you best of luck, tinder is the only option online. Australian male game is actually quite shit, you'll find most guys afraid to cold approach. If you're happy to stick your neck out and are a friendly guy then you'll probably to alright, but it's definetly not a poosy paradise

Unless you're french if you have a thicc french accent you will drown in muff disregard this post

I'm seeking a bit of travel inspiration, so I thought maybe we could each contribute 3-5 places/events/activities that are on your bucket list - maybe you've already ticked them off, maybe you're looking forward to ticking them off in the future. If possible, try to find a nice photo too, for added inspiration. I'll start with a few.

*Info on prostitution*
Please try to refrain from asking questions about prostitution. Japan's sex industry is almost completely inaccessible to foreigners who do not speak Japanese. What is available can generally be found in the following links
>http://rockitreports.com/category/sex-in-tokyo/
>http://erolin.net/

*Note about the JR Pass*
Many people ask about whether or not the JR Rail Pass is worth it. It depends on your itinerary.

Plug your itinerary into Hyperdia to determine ticket costs, then compare to the below JR Pass options:
>7 day Pass: 29,110¥
>14 day Pass: 46,390¥
>21 day Pass: 59,350¥

Please check the /trv/ sticky before asking questions. It's filled with links to great resources, many of them specific to Japan travel.

What do you mean safe? I keep my passport + vaccination record + second credit card in my locker in a fanny pack like you have or if there's someone sketchy in my hostel dorm I leave it at the reception. Walking around I never carry more than $50 in local currency + credit card. I don't carry any personal information with me around

Hey guys,

This evening /trv/'s virtual football club will play /o/ in our first game of the Spring Cup. It's down for 20:20 UTC, but will probably be closer to 21:00 UTC which is 5pm US Eastern time, 10pm UK time and 11pm Central Europe time.

If you've somehow not watched it before, each board has an AI team, directed by a manager who sets the players attributes and team tactics, like myself. Real commentators and graphic designers make it quite a spectacle, with thousands watching the stream at times.

We actually won the whole thing a couple of years ago, an impressive feat for a small board when some larger teams have full staffs of testers and assistant managers.

The wiki has all sorts of information about the teams and tournaments, and the stream link:

I didn't mention how we've been a bit shit since, I haven't had the time to devote to a virtual soccer game. But recently I've made some changes, based on exchanges in threads like this in the past.

The anthem seems to flip between Daft Punk's "Around the World" and Gustav Holst's arrangement of Jupiter into "I Vow To Thee My Country", the first being more /trv/ relevant but the second being much more anthemic.

Goalhorn is either Cliff Richard's "Summer Holiday" or York's "On the Beach", with "Holiday in Cambodia" by the Dead Kennedys for special occasions.

We have new home and away kits too. Home is again blue and gold but more simple and almost reminiscent of a pilot's jacket, whilst the away has a similar tropical theme to the old one, only more garish.

We have new players for the first time in ages too. Other boards might have polls, but with the size of /trv/ and not wanting to spam I've made some decisions.

Got rid of VICEguy since that site seems more about gender politics and that kind of thing than going to places like North Korea and Liberia now. Itsa Slowboard is gone too, he's been a player from the start but now /trv/ being small is hardly a novelty when places like /p/ and /t/ now have teams.

We now have Rick Steves in the team, he seems popular enough to warrant it, also with the fair amount of Israel birthright trip threads I've seen "Benjamin Birthright" is another new player.

Real Traveller goes from a bench nobody to being a Silver player. Sex Tourist and ladyboy Superpornowat Farangbang remain the Gold players. Couchsurfer Rapist is the other Silver with Karl Pilkington being reduced to a normal player.
