/frz/ trash edition
(Frozen (Movie) Thread)
Lets try it.
/frz/ died and is too scattered to bring back to life now, OP. I'm pretty sure even Snowchan has been abandoned.
>>1081010
why not /aco/ thread?
>>1081010
I would totally join in if I thought /frz/ had a shot here.
>>1081093
/frz/ was only about 40-60% porn at its peak. Doesn't quite translate to /aco/
>>1081071
Snowchan isn't totally empty, and I don't think ice troopers are really that spread out (not OP).
I do think this is an idea doomed to failure anyway, though. The only thing left to talk about is fan creations now. It was only a movie, thre's not that much in the source material. And none of the fan creations have a huge pull right now. I don't think we have enough to talk about to sustain a general at this point.
Eventually we'll have the sequel, and we'll be back.
Just enjoy the good memories in the meantime.
>>1081124
alright. Why not regular /co/? Is it getting banned on sight (I know that feel)
>>1081158
Yeah, the mods banned it over a year ago now. Right after the 1000th edition.
>>1081158
I mean, the heat has died down considerably, but at its peak /frz/-posting was so severe that there were at least somewhat-serious discussions about the feasibility of a /dis/ board. If you tried sparking up a general on there again, I'm pretty sure it'd be shot on sight.
>>1081147
Seeing that this isn't a work safe board there's a lot more that could be added to these threads that many have held back from posting in fear that it would upset Janny.
>>1081183
>mods banned it over a year ago now
>Implying those butthurt mods are still around
Didn't the new owner of the site replace a lot of the old mods. Maybe the new mods wouldn't have a problem with Frozen threads as the old ones did.
>>1081208
I don't think so. People were just posting porn back then and spoilering it/dealing with the bans anyway. And I don't think porn alone is enough to keep a movie general rolling. A single thread past the bump limit, maybe.
>>1081246
/frz/ is pretty notorious on /co/, like /mlp/ tier in terms of public opinion. I wouldn't be surprised if the current Elsa thread got deleted at this point.
>>1081199
I remember Caturday (this is /trash/, what did you expect?) was getting banned on sight at one point, even without any infringements. At one point we disguised them as "Catwoman" threads and the DC fags didn't even mind a weird hybrid thread. (unrelated, but hybrid threads are surprisingly great)
I don't really browse /co/ often anymore but I've heard the Cat threads are still getting banned,
>>1081199
>If you tried sparking up a general on there again, I'm pretty sure it'd be shot on sight.
How about being smart about it like the op who created the thread up now.
Don't call it /frz/ in the op or call it a general.
How many Insideout threads have we had on /co/ since the film came out?
Nobody seems to give a shit but than again the ops in those threads have talked about not wanting to get ban like Frozen so they never title them with the word general.
>>1081270
Oh, me too. I'm totally in for the thread if anybody can think of something to talk about or dump pictures of. I'm just saying I don't think it's going to actually bring /frz/ back.
>>1081306
/frz/ already has the reputation. If recurring Frozen Threads are seen on the front page, there's going to be suspicions and eventually they'll just shoot it down.
>>1081312
As someone who's been through hiatuses (one word: "Kazerad"), how do you have a thousand generals about a single movie? What do you keep talking about when there's not much fresh content and only like 2 hours footage?
Is it a classic hiatus syndrome like thread related where 8 posts in you're already off topic?
https://desustorage.org/co/thread/44276548/#44276862
>>1081435
At a certain point, /frz/ basically became self-sustaining. There are MOUNDS of fan art, fanfics, fan creations, edits, vocaroos, memes, copypastas, greentexts and the like that were all cataloged and stored for future reference, and the discussions started being about them just as much as the actual movie. One particular fanfic about Elsa being an incestual /r9k/ shitposter essentially grew to equal priority with the movie itself.
I could probably track them down on Snowchan; give me a minute.
>>1081343
Can someone clear this /co/ autism up for me.
Why would it bug other anons on /co/ if there was a 24/7 Frozen thread running at all times? Would it take anything away from /co/?
Frozen posts never spreed out to other /co/ threads like MLP did. So what is it about /frz/ that bugged them so much. I'm starting to think they were just Jelly of what we had. It's like look at those faggots STILL having fun over there. We can't be as happy as they are so lets to take way their toys.
>>1081435
A lot of OC and a lot of meta shit, basically, it became a perpetual motion machine. The threads had their own culture, in jokes, history, and group of tight knit regulars--to give you an idea of the extent of this, I never namefagged unless I was dumping OC but I had anons on multiple occasions reply to me and correctly guess who I was because they recognized a filename, or just my writing style, or a common topic I liked to talk about, or god knows what else. We collaborated and wrote greentexts together in the thread, we had at least 5 drawfags who regularly hung out and posted new context, we talked about and wrote fanfiction... just a lot of stuff. Including infighting and drama. It was glorious and terrible.
>>1081529
MLP entirely poisoned the very concept of a "General" in /co/. It was a scourge that that hit the board so hard, you can basically break it down to pre-MLP and post-MLP. Do you have any idea how bad things need to go to shit for "Create an entirely separate board to contain it" to become an option? It's ingrained into the board psyche to stomp down on any fandom that seems to be veering towards establishing their own community in order to prevent it from happening again.
>>1081526
What was up with that spooky death night time meme that would pop up. Something abouty "Moon" something.
Also I'm kinda shocked that the Frodo, Stephanie, or Carlos question memes haven't popped up in the current frozen thread.
>>1081526
I have a lot of caps, let me know if you want anything in particular dumped. No guarantees though, I never sorted it.
>>1081435
>>1081526
Yeah, I was right; Snowchan's still crawling along.

Out of curiosity, which namefag were you? Drawfag or Writefag?
>>1081586
>It's ingrained into the board psyche to stomp down on any fandom that seems to be veering towards establishing their own community in order to prevent it from happening again.
That mentality is kinda retarded. Thats like a raped victim / survivor walking around scared for the rest of her life and never EVER going outside after it's dark outside for fear she will get raped again.
>>1081629
I was a write/musicfag, almost all of my OC was from the very early generals or so. Streamed some, got some people into Wicked. Don't really want to attentionwhore/namefag without a reason though, sorry anon.
>>1081801
Don't worry, forced anon on this board.
>trust me, I tried
>>1081147
>>1081529
Comic/cartoon fans are fucking autistic.
Now imagine one with mod powers.
Euro/frz/ is here
/r/ing all available porn
>>1088075
>>1088075
>all available porn
It would take hours to post. Maybe if this site didn't force you to wait in between posts or have Captcha I'd post most of it but we are talking hours of work.

/trash/ is hella slow except for the hugnergames fags
This thread will last a few days at least
>>1119672
If you post porn in it, its gonna stay at least a month
Reminder that Hans is shit.
bmp
>>1081147
>Snowchan isn't totally empty
It is though. Last general lasted over a month. There has been some activity recently but it's basically 1-2 new autists getting their fill of Anna and Elsa pics.
The only thing that could resurrect the site is info about the sequel
>>1081598
Moonman? I know moonman is like a /pol/ thing but there was also a moonman meme about hypnotizing people in /frz/
>>1081628
Have the Snowchan version

h-help

Just stay in the safety of your own thread
It's like a series of islands here
>>1081147
Snowchan is shit btw.
Try post the cropped porn on that site.
its gonna be deleted on sight unlike 4chan.
>>1148262
Honestly the reason /trash/frz/ won't take off. The company is fucking horrifying.
