looks like it was my issue. fwoosh had no issue
are you actually retarded? she has long hair coming down the side of her head and is clearly wearing a wolverine type mask
Updated my spider clusterfuck with ben and spider carnage
"Clusterfuck" is an understatement. You should never have everyone in the setup dynamically posed, not to mention most of the poses look like garbage. And where the hoes at?! It's a sausage fest on that shelf.
Alright fine. I don't have Gwen and Venom yet, so it's not fully refined.
He's fine I guess, yellow on calves doesn't match the rest, neither does the red on the wrists, and there's a potential for the skin tone to be kinda messed up and gloppy. Your standard ML issues.
Not gonna lie anon, but your set up is a little boring. It's not bad but just a bit boring. Try making some more interesting poses with some of you characters.
I updated my display with Ben but I need Spider-Gwen too and I just can't find her anywhere. Also holy fuck this picture made me realize how badly I have to dust.
kaine is based spidey but you're right, he needs the new spidey body like his brothers
that's not a clusterfuck. my spiderverse shelf is out of control. i also had to stop halfway through pulling the lights out of my detolf so the wires look like shit on top of it
I currently have two dioder lights per shelf and they are way too yellow and i'd like something a bit brighter.
I didn't really care but the adhesive tabs these lights came with dried up and the lights started falling and it was pissing me off.
Still trying to figure out what i'm going to replace them with.
Thanks anons. Got it for like just shy of $2K. Then I got it signed when Stan Lee came to a local con. CGC was there and I figured it was time to slab it up. Everyone in line was super jealous of it and even Stan was a little thrown off by it. Someone in line said he wasn't signing anymore AF 15s or ASM 1s any more and that it shouldn't have gotten signed and I was super lucky. Idk how true it is though. It's one of my most prized possessions.
I got an idea for a Marvel Legends wave
1)Peter Parker w/camera, laptop, extra web-shoot hands and a "Spider Sense...Tingling!" head
2)Logan with regular and pissed heads, clawed and non clawed hands, and a six pack
3)Matt Murdock with cane, opening briefcase with removable "legal papers" hiding a folded up DD costume, and extra head with his mask in mid removal
4)She Hulk with her hair up, glasses, and court room suit
5)Tony Stark with Iron Man parts (chase figure, b&w Howard Stark)
6)Might be a good time for a new Kingpin
BAF:Awesome Andy with chalkboard
Here's my dream wave
>1. Superior Iron Man: New sculpt, alternate head with a smug Tony face, two fists and two open hands
>2. Beta Ray Bill: Modern costume update, could maybe re-tool the existing Thor mold
>3. God Emperor Doom: New mold entirely, with an alternative Maskless Doom face
>4. Whiplash comic version: three sets of whips for different posing purposes
>5. Horseman of Death Sentry: Retool the Grim Reaper mold, better cape, retool old Sentry head, arms can be reused
>6. Classic Hawkeye: Just give him a workable bow and some arrows for christs sake
>7. Aunt May: Alternative Spider-Aunt head
Here's my sorta Spider-Verse clusterfuck. I have a couple more, but those are out in the living room.
Onslaught wave is up on amazon
Cap-Wolf is the tightest shit.
It kills me that the new cap's uper torso isn't scaled... Not that I expected hasbro any budget into detail like that
Atleast we got a wold head. That's the selling point for me. But without that, I'd pass, unless it had those scales.
>tfw I've looked everywhere online for gwen
>can't find her for less than $50
>the past two weeks I have seen nearly zero of the wave she's in at any store Ive been too
Now this is suffering
Oh ok I thought it had been out since the beginning of january, thanks for the clarification.
Found Gwen today. One of them was the rare abusive boyfriend variant.
Well I made a mistake. I bought a spiderman classics metallic scorpion from eBay for about 24 bucks. Everything seemed fine until after I paid I noticed "glued head" in the title. If it's glued onto the ball joint in the neck I'm sure I can fix it by somehow removing the glue and putting in some small magnets. If that's not the case anyone have any ideas? Anyone know how to remove glue without damaging the figure?
Red daredevil is a very good figure, and is becoming more and more of a pain in the ass to find. He's probably not worth what he goes for on the aftermarket, but he's a great find at retail.
Nova was super popular when his wave first came out, and dropped to below retail like 6 months after. I like the design but his figure is shitty, so unless you REALLY liked the character you did good.
Yeah I'm not really that big of a fan of the character I just happened to see two Nova's at a local Walmart and got curious. I'm a huge fan of DD though so I'm happy with my purchase. Thanks for the info. I will say that DD's weapons are made out of really flimsy material, the rest of the figures great though.
I like this head a lot more than I thought I would.
TOO MANY CLONES!
(Toooo many clooones!)
He's not the most posable, but Jack's a real nice lookin' figure.
And that's it. Goddamn, they all look awful.
Well, Whor's comic is terrible, but I've always liked the design.
Yeah, the spider girl mold is (in)famous for this shit. I dropped mine under a heatlamp for a minute and dodged the usual bullets of stuck ankles and elbows. I actually thought I got off easy until I popped the head off and got a look at the neck hinge. Oh well.
I saw a video recently about dremeling out part of her chest balljoint to give her an actual ab-crunch, I might try it out on this one and pick another up later.
This mostly just hurts because I'd take any fucking falcon at all at this point. Hell, they'd get two to three uses out of the body for both comic looks + MCU.
Not gonna lie, she killed it in the asm movies. Her and garfield together were the highlight, though that might not be saying much. Too bad there's no civilian clothes female body to toss the head onto.
Did he get a 3.57 for WS? The only ones I remember seeing were the select and a 5POA brick, but I'll admit I was never into the universe stuff.
I believe he's a 4" figure. Not perfect, but I'd say he's the best Falcon we've gotten to date. He's 5 bucks at Ross, and I think TRU has him in a double pack for 20 if you can't find him.
There was a Select.
No idea if it was any good though.
Check around 9 mins for the end results. It's actually a little nuts how much more range you can get, I always figured the top of the chest section would just collide with the lower part, but it's all internal molding holding it back. I'm gonna try to pop wasp and captain marvel later on to see if it'd work on them too.
It's a factory reject figure
Its not going to have accessories and they usually have other flaws about them
So were those 1:18 already announced or is these just samples that they were getting ready for for Toy Fair this year?
Got venom today at Toys R Us -navada-
hes ok. was hoping he would be bulkier than he is. the cape is a nice accessory though
The hip mod looked awful and almost unnecessary, but the torso movement is surprising. Still would be better if they updated the figure with a big hinge in the abs, similar to the DC Icons line, only done better.
The Icons scheme literally yields worse range of motion compared to the standard male bucks used by Hasbro, and looks worse to boot.
The only thing it does is give a slight improvement to the silhouette of the arched back. That's it.
The problem is that while the idea is great, the execution is incredibly misguided--just like their double-jointed elbows that only achieve a 90 degree bend.
They're just scared of doing a straight up ab crunch for their women. And I mean, I get where they're coming from, but as the video shows, they don't have to be as shitty as they are.
I need someone to put a cape on him like he has in Contest of Championns.
Honestly I wish instead of absorbing man BAF they would give us a Venom BAF with a beefy body of hulk or Green Goblin.
and instead of venom as a single we could have got a bucky cap shocker
It wouldn't surprise me if they do that. Hasbro has shown they won't shy away from doing figures more than once if they're different enough.
It could even have an alternate Gargan head for us happy enough with the Absorbing Man wave Venom.
Or it could be Ultimate Venom.
I'd buy it.
I like bulky Venom better than regular Venom.
Is there a better figure for this design? I love the design, but hate how limited the IM2 figure here is for articulation.
>tfw never really hunted down a marvel legends figure
>hate Peter parker spiderman
>but love Spider Gwen's design
>not sure what to keep in mind when hunting these things down
Really don't want to cave in and pay 50 for her. I have 4 places to stop by tomorrow to see if they have her. A toys r us and target I visited today didn't have any of the new wave in, but I was told that they would probably be getting g another shipment in this week.
Any tips or anything o should know?
Speed Demon's smug face is way too fun to take pictures of.
I didn't get all of the wave, but he's easily my new favorite shameless reuse of the pizza-man body.
Yep. Sleep deprivation is a motherfucker.
On topic though: What do you all think the chances are that the Walgreen's, Walmarts, and Targets in my area that are glutted with Hulkbuster (Walgreen's), Rhino and Ultron (Target), and Thanos (Walmart) waves will find some way to stock the current Spider-man wave?
When I say glutted, I mean multiple pegs full to the point of overflowing onto shelves. No discounted items either.
I got hired by my buddies construction job, and was lent one of the company box trucks to get to the jobsite.
On the morning of my first day i drove off in just my shirt and boxers, then turned around to get my full clothing on, making me late, then i realized some assholes from high school had hidden some of my things while i was getting dressed. They kept fucking with me to the point of me trying to fight them, except it's dream physics so i couldn't even make a fist.
Then I finally had all my stuff, and realized the truck was missing, so I was running around town hunting for it frantically, already super late.
It should be noted that I was woken up before this dream by my bf eating breakfast with his mouth open again, which I'm trying to figure out how to confront him on it without being a dick.
>Chewing with their mouth open
Literally worse than robo-hitler. You either get on their shit about it every single time or they will not stop.
There's a hambeast who may be autistic or something in my class(sings in the middle of fucking lectures and laughs like a god damned retard every five minutes) and she smacks her fat lips every time she eats like a fucking cow.
I wish nothing but despair for these people.
There's a very polite wikihow on this topic.
Just post it to his facebook wall or something.
And yeah, my in-laws do it. My wife does to a point (only with crunchy food). It drives me up the wall and I have to remind her all the time. Literally the only pet peeve I have against her.
And here's Gamora with revoltech joints for ankles. I now have a definite need to get some more range from her hips. The ankle mod combined with a quick spray of Rustoleum Specialty Metallic (over primer) really increased the appeal of this figure for me.
Yeah I don't know about the other stores, but my local Walgreens was stuck with just two Superior Spider-Men for the longest time. It was only around two months ago or so that they finally got in various figures from the Hobgoblin, Rhino, and Hulkbuster waves, though they did get the exclusive Black Ant on time.
It was decent. Worth retail but not a penny higher. Sculpt was good, wings clip on and off nicely, face has a good likeness, but the lack of both thigh swivels AND calf swivels makes ground posing limited. No guns either, which subtracts from the attack poses, too. I hate that they included some shitty base instead of things that would actually aid the figure (like, I don't know, guns or a flight stand), but what do you expect from DST and their ongoing business strategy of always being in distant last place for 99% of their "competitive" products.
Yeah, I don't have any spare. I might attempt to make some from sculpey.
But the original ankle articulation was the old style with no rocker and the peg going straight up into the shins, so ther would have had to be a big change in the ankle joint regardless.
I'm doing the same to a DCC Talon right now, and will also be applying this method to the Hulkbuster wave War Machine once I figure out how best to shim up the revo peg inside that figure's shins.
DESU, the easiest solution is some figure stands. Since they're all Hasbro, you can get some KO Hasbro stands from eBay for relatively cheap, or a couple of Tamashii stands. I've got the smoke grey Hasbro-branded Tamashii stand. It holds up the weight of Legends figures well.
For Black Cat, you could easily just swap out her high heels for White Tiger's feet. But for Gamora and Widow you're kind of out of luck without modding or using a stand. They do sit on their knees and asses pretty well though.
Kind Anons, What are the odds we'll ever see this Magik as a normal release?
She was an exclusive in a Dr. Strange set from the SDCC, I also don't wanna pay up to $100 for her loose..
Low to nonexistent. The X-Men wave sounds like it's shooting for more classic characters, and Magik would be more at home in a modern X-Men wave. I'm not sure that we'll see more than that one wave either. If it takes off and we keep getting X-waves, maybe, but that just doesn't seem likely to me.
Likewise, it sounds like Strange's own wave is full, and they probably don't want to re-use too many characters from the set there.
Already have Boomerang. So tempted to make my own Superior Foes team.
I just hope the Shocker leak is true. And then we just need Overdrive.
Some are hit and miss. That recent Kraven was ass. Super disappointed with that, but I think the new pizza spidey is perfect, except for the red screws on the blue side of his elbow.
What REALLY gets under my skin is the muscle definition all these modern day marvel legends have. It's like they're not even clothed most of the time, their costumes look painted on (I know they are literally, you get what I mean though). There's no material in the world that would be able to cling to skin like that. And I know characters in spandex and comic books are exaggerated with their spandex and muscle definition, but rarely to the degree of modern day Marvel Legends.
Pic related is how Hasbro should be sculpting their characters in spandex. There's enough muscle definition so you can see he's ripped as fuck, yet not so much so, that you can tell he's wearing spandex. Maybe even add a subtle wrinkle or two like Mcfarlene spiderman. It's not like that's going to prevent them from reusing the sculpt. I feel like that would go a long way in making their figures look nicer. Lines like figuarts and figma take this kind of thing into consideration when they make a character with tight clothing, and theyre usually nicer looking than marvel legends as a result.
I think Hasbro sort of designed the modern ML look after art from artists like Mike Deodato, who had a massive wave of prominence in Marvel a few years ago, just as the line was being relaunched. That's gone to the wayside in the last few years as trends change, but I think it was enough that Hasbro uses it as sort of a Marvel house style.
Comparing Pizza Spidey to Deodato's art, I can see it.
>all those 1/5 stars for Gwen on Amazon
>she's nice, but not worth $40!
Is this their first Marvel Legends figure? Are these the people scalpers get money from?
>Is this their first Marvel Legends figure? Are these the people scalpers get money from?
To both. Spider-Gwen is prime casual bait.
I'll get one too, but I'm just saying. This probably is many people's first.
sure is autist who doesn't read comics
Just stick to movie figures if you want realistuck costumes
the artist wro drew this spidey didn't color it btw familia
Still not sure if I want to mod the head to fit in the hood.
So I found my old fearsome foes spiderman that I had as a kid in my attic but he was broken and pretty scuffy looking Cleaned him up, repainted the purple to blue and did a leg screw fix and now he poses pretty solid.
heres the second photo. odd it came out sideways even though on my computer they are upwards.
Since I have pizza spidy I dont really care for this guy any more. Do you think he would hold any value to anyone with the leg repair
I have, they look a million times better ill get a photo of a black cat I redid
Ya, the artist of squirrel girl is legit some of the worst art I have ever seen.
It might not go for as much as usual what with the leg damage, but it still might go for a good price since that figure goes for a pretty penny. It's basically the McFarlane Spidey but with a different head.
I remember having it and loving it. Sadly it broke and then got lost. I still kinda miss the figure but I'm relatively happy with Pizza Spidey.
Whor is legit worse.
being an Absorbing Man/Titania fan is suffering.
one more to prove my point further. fuck this world.
anybody who's read the original secret wars knows Titania has never been like what she's being show here, which is probably the case for the audience this book is aiming for.
again, fuck this world I'm fucking mad and I want a Titania BAF just because I like her as a character and not for some dumbass social agenda.
These two pages are the only really egregious things in the run so far. Thor's not an aggressively bad book like Squirrel Girl, it's just mind-numbingly boring.
Hard to believe the guy who wrote the God Bomb arc just a few years ago is churning this out now.
>These two pages are the only really egregious things in the run so far.
You're nuts or high as a kite.
>These two pages are the only really egregious things in the run so far
Looks like a new headsculpt? Different colored boots too, maybe? I don't have mine with me, but they look super similar for sure.
This looks fucking gorgeous, and I'm not even a big fan of this design.
> Repuslor Blasts
Wish it was more Bleeding Edgey though.
Looks pretty great. I'll probably pick one up.
>another repaint of Winter Soldier Cap
The darker blue does look better than the brighter blue of the AOU Cap, though.
The rest of the figure I'm feeling mixed about. The head looks a bit tiny, though.
Also that torso design is giving me IM2 figure flashbacks. Hope it's better than that, though.
Might get depending on how he turns out.
This Venom needs to be a BAF to do it justice.
>hate Peter parker spiderman
>but love Spider Gwen's design
Leave /toy/ & don't come back!
Interesting mod for Gwen, looks like Figma Satsuki's hands. Not sure how securely the joints are pegged in though.
fucking bendis and kitty pryde
on a non humid day do quick coats and take a bit of time in between 2-3 coats work best but dont cheap out on top coat its the worst thing you can do.
sorry both heads are top coated not the suit. the suit is still glossy and the chest was repainted with flat paint so you can see the difference in shimmer. more noticeable in person I guess
-SHF War Machine I & II, plus Iron Patriot
-Those weird Super Alloy figures, i don't know what the fuck the deal is with them
-Hasbro MCU for WM I & II, plus Iron Patriot
-Galactus wave West Coast Avengers design WM built on the clunky original ML Iron Man body (personal favorite), Ares wave Ultimate WM, Face Off variant WM
Those are the only ones I can think of.
Can you provide pics or info on quality of them? I hate figures that feel bendy like ant man or similar when the design is mechanical, but I can't justify spending fourty bucks or more for one figure.
Do you guys think the web warrirors toy line miles scales with the legends ok
pic is of the figure. regardless of articulation the walmart marvel legends exclusive looks hideous and and is too expensive for what it is
dont have much of a pic of scale but there was a comparison video of agent venom web warriors to marvel legends to give an idea of size.
I think it could work but wouldnt mind you guy's two cents on the matter
Aside from the Super Alloys which as I said I know basically nothing about (and haven't heard anything great about either, so...) all of those figures are pretty damned solid as far as sturdiness goes. Import figures can feel a little spindly if you're new to them and god help you if you don't have the motor function skills to apply proper amounts of pressure on their joints. If I were going to put it on a scale of advisement, it would be something like this:
>blow quite a bit of money on something with incredible wow factor: SHF WM I
>buy something that is pretty nice and has a lot of crazy modern engineering: SHF WM II
>buy something inexpensive and aged but has a lot of simple nostalgia fun factor: ML Galactus wave WM
>buy something a little more expensive but still affordable that is really tight in all regards: Hasbro IM2 WM I
I'm sure I'll be shat upon for at least a few of those, but oh well. Also, I forgot in my other post that there's revoltechs to consider, but... Eh.
He's currently your best option. That being said, there's no way in hell we don't get one in the next few years. At the latest, as part of the MCU Spider-Man wave- but at the rate we're going, it'll be even sooner than that.
The only hurdle I can imagine them waiting on is that it'll take a new mold. They recently gave us the "teen/small female mold" for the Spider-Girls- they'll need a new "teen/small male mold" for Miles. There's probably fewer characters that have an actual chance of getting made that could use that, but I'm sure they'd use it for Sam!Nova too, at least.
Im hoping that they create a new young teens mold to use for ulitimate characters like Milies [with a hopeful original teen ultimate peter parker spidy]
mold could be used for Sam Nova and other younger male characters too
but thats unknown when to happen.
Ive been on a huge buying spree lately with random legends
Just got pizza spidy, anya spider girl, ghost rider, superior spidy for $55 which is a pretty good deal in my opinion and they are the last legends I was considering getting other than Daredevil.
Daredevil is a whim since im binge watching the netflix series at the moment
Board so I decided to give two of my figures a dark wash
Figures on the left have a wash put on them
reason other carnage has that head is that im gonna turn him into spider carnage
(Yes I have spider ben but I dont like the long body for spider carnage and I like the tendrils)
Carnage on the left is a Bootleg if anyone is curious and actually isnt half bad. carnage on the right is original. [you can tell by eye color, Silver = bootleg]
ALSO SILVER IRON SPIDER FUCKING WHEN
bootleg feels a little heavier
tendrils are not as soft of a plastic slightly hard but soft enough to bend
doesnt feel cheap. joints are pretty tight when first revived so place it in hot water
ball peg on bootlegs neck is slightly smaller than original so when originals head is on it its loose
not a bad bootleg I I can tell its a bootleg by the eyes and how more stiff the tendrils are but none of the joints feel week. Pretty solid bootleg Ive owned 2 (gave one to a friend)
unless you are a die hard fuck bootlegs kind of guy I say nab em while you can.
I ordered the whole bootleg line just to compare to the original over a year ago and
Green goblin - Good figure feels great not as good as original but pretty solid. I do like the bootleg fire more than the original
Ultimate Beetle - really tight joints and mold has Ultron issue with leg breakage
Superior - week legs that get loose fast
ASM - so so, felt very rubbery as far as the plastic goes
Black Cat - Stay the fuck away
electro - meh original wasnt that better
