Here is the prototype of Gali, not 100% satisfied but it looks okay I think. I had difficulties trying to get an asymetrical skirt look with the vorox armor, but apart from the T-bars colour, it works perfectly and don't hinder articulation or the waist gimmick.
I think what the idea was for UtD was to make him an even more recognizable, hunched over wendigo like in pic related, but he looks like, well, shit.
Well, Ekimu looks like a fucking iceberg and seems like the worst of the summer wave
Umarak looks okayish, i guess...
And the beasts, well at first I was pretty disappointed. I really wished for some four-leged wolf-like monsters, but tbqh. their style works
Last thread with bump limit. So gotta repost criticism request for skull rider. I'll work on the vehicle on Monday. Sorry I don't got the Skelton head in the backgrounds.
Hopefully fixed edition with better angle >>5409087
What Bonkles are you guys waiting on? Pic related was just delivered today.
Here's a moc to hopefully distract everyone from the shittiness of UTD.
>While referred to by many names, he is only known across the galaxy by one - The Operative. A mercenary hired by whoever can afford him, usually the governments of far off lands, the Operative is a highly skilled, efficient, and deadly killer. Not much is known about this individuals past - not even Hero Factory coukd find information about hi. When hey hired him. What they do know is this - he's of an unknown species, wearing an incredibly bulky suit of armor that hides his true appearance. Given his current contract with Hero Factory to apprehend three dangerous fugitives, he was provided with a specialized chest plate, so that other heroes can identify him in combat. Of special note is his helmet - when asked, the Operative stated that a mission of his went off course to an uncharted system, where he found carvings and statues of the mask design in several temples. He snapped photographs and later integrated the design into his helmet. Despite his reputation as a violent killer, he has shown respect and even compassion towards other heroes - you would never guess what a violent killer he is.
The head really needs work - currently the mask is attached to a Mata head attached to a Mata hand, but that makes the neck too long. I can't find a smaller alternative that allows the MoL to attach.
'Nother pic. He's also got Rey's pistol and a red knife holstered on his sides.
Honestly I'm more proud of the weapon than anything, even though I'll probably mod it in the future to have a fore grip handle or some ther Tacticool shit like that.
>The Operatives has a XV-29 Modular Weapons System rifle which he has named "Fannie", after an ex-girlfriend. In his words, "That bitch was bad, but she was also crazy as hell. Felt fitting." Fannie could not be reached for comment. She is presumed dead. His current load out for the weapon features a Farshety Systems Reflex sight, Ion Castor plasma rounds, an extended stock, and a select fire switch.
I'm almost 100% certain this version of Ekimu is 100% preliminary in terms of color and design. His new mask would probably be unity compatible, and more than likely a blend of trans blue and gold
Just going to repost these for convenience's sake.
It probably is, yeah. And while a full trans-blue mask makes me happy, this would be far and beyond the better choice.
This is the only one of the beasts that legitimately pisses me off. It's legs are retarded, its arms are gonna be stubby again, its head is basic af, its weapons are useless and it doesn't appear to have a shadow trap, unlike the others. Fuck this thing
This is one sick motormount. Whoever made this should be proud.
The 'traps' are actually part of the creatures. Storm Beast's is the end of the tail, Quake's is on the shoulder, and while obscured a bit, you can see the hinges of a trap on the back of Lava Beast's head.
Don't think about these. Not until toy fair
Enjoy your winter sets for right n-
Oh wait, no, you can't even do that seeing how shit this entire wave is. Hell this entire reboot is god awful (besides umarak... love you bb)
It's probably just me but PoJ's mask reminds me of Xan's head in UT2k4's concept art.
Implying your neglected cock wouldn't twitch with joy if Hugebricks made a monstrous rule 63 Umarak chick.
The first toa were ok, I can't say too much about them besides that they didn't use enough new armor pieces, but they had nice proportions. The new toa have the armor, but the proportions are out of whack again. What's worse is just how easy it is to fix most of their problems, yet lego refuses to add in the few new parts we'd need to make these things perfect. The skeletons, like the beasts, are incredibly underwhelming sets and both offer seemingly nothing new to the table. And it's the same problem again, they're so easy to fix, but Lego still can't take their fists out of their asses for long enough to add the few parts they'd need. UtD for example would look remarkably solid if his horns weren't so awful and if he actually resembled UtH at all. If he has trans yellow, I'll be satisfied, but after Pohatu consistently screwing us over, I have my doubts.
>yfw this isn't trans yellow or trans neon green but instead trans gold
Does anyone else get the feeling that 2016 is more of an "experimental" year? Like they're testing the waters to see if people like a more complex build-- CCBS acting as more of an add-on rather than a core part if the building system.
How would that even work!?
Trans yellow with sparkles all up in?
>It probably is, yeah. And while a full trans-blue mask makes me happy, this would be far and beyond the better choice.
I disagree, full trans blue is a lot better for MOCing and I wouldn't say it looks bad currently.
I'm guessing lego isn't confident enough to give us enough new parts because it's constraction, so most of their resources just go to the ninj-ima knights system sets. This would be a reason why they gave nexo knights a show on network television, while we had some webisodes and are now, finally getting a proper series on netflix.
Ok no, in all seriousness, pick up a creature of earth, fire or ice and hold it up to the light. It's head mold is semi translucent. I'm thinking just a bit more dilution, and it could be a legitimate trans gold
But fuck it, this wave is so ridiculous, I wouldn't even doubt sparkles
figured as much.
I'm gonna go to the lego store at downtown Disney later, hopefully they restocked on force awakens. I wanna get Pohatu + buddy + Rey to work on upgrading. I managed to get a half off Master of Stone from Target too.
I wish Lego Store had a really good free something with purchase promo. Maybe there's some lava men left at least.
>try to make resin masks
>get skin allergy that fucks my whole face up
gonna be another week of this swollen dry scaly bullshit
Forget about leeks. Let's mourn Gali's death.
Did you take pictures? I mean, if it's as bad as you say then you could upload them and none would recognize you.
I'd like to see other types of builds a well but so far they've fucked up every time they've deviated from humanoids. LoSS and Skull Scorpion are universally reviled and LEGO seems to listen to the comments. Also humanoids work better with test groups.
Personally I think they should had gone wild with the creatures and beasts but without incorporating any build-distorting functions.
Do you take requests?
I'd rather not, I don't post pics of myself on the internet. Couldn't really give you a good sense of it in a picture without showing the whole face, anyway.
Just imagine a face swollen basically from the cheeks up (thickest swelling is on nose, cheeks, forehead, eyebrows), with a red rash everywhere that extends even behind the ears. Cover that with dry, dead peeling skin and you have me right now. At least I have some stuff to properly treat it. Calamine lotion and benadryl wasn't accomplishing shit.
Guess I've learned my lesson. "Eh, the safety data sheets don't apply to me, I can do this." -thbbbbt-
I probably would have been fine if I was wearing proper face protection. Went back and did a color test with clear resin and my blue oil paint that I finally found (pic related, may be too solidly blue) and noticed that the already irritated skin was reacting to the fumes. I think it was more contact than fumes, since I was screwing around with the solid stuff pretty carelessly five days before with no reaction, but either way I'll be sure to do it right next time.
Switched his colors around and made his weapon more of a flail.
Do you see any around? That's how transparent they are.
That canonically G2 Onua is getting constantly robbed?
My mother used to mess around with stuff like that in her room. Eventually she died of cancer that started from her respiratory system and then spread to other organs.
Use a mask and work outside. Preferably when it's windy.
>Eventually she died of cancer that started from her respiratory system and then spread to other organs.
That's awful... Sorry you lost her to something like that.
I'll definitely be triply sure to treat this stuff seriously next time.
I had very few parts to work with, but I think my first actual MOC in 5 years turned out decently.
those two, and maybe you'll get lucky on craigslist
I found a guy who was coincidentally a professor at the school I was attending at the time who was middlemanning for his son. Got a good selection of G1 sets for good prices, and Iruini in canister.
He looks nothing like he did in the movie.
When I first saw him while browsing through the shop, I thought they were doing a really stupid mech version line of figures, but then I say Rey and Kylo and immediately realized that Finn just looks really, really bad.
Bad luck, anon. They still only had Kopaka, Uxar and Umarak at my store. Although some of the winter 2015 sets on clearance, pic related.
Jokes aside, Lewa is pretty alright, if you can excuse the stubby arms.
Does this mean they are selling badly? Not even 1 month and already on clearance
They definitely don't sell at my local stores, the only bionicles there for months and months have been 6 skull scorpions down in the bottom corner behind a display you have to move to reach them
Surrounded by hundreds of star wars sets, of course
Anyone tried messing around with Tahu's arm armor configuration? Here's one I kinda like. I'm not sure if I like the big ol hulking shoulder pads on him. I modded my 2015 Tahu's shoulders as well.
This ones not so photogenic. Looks better in hand.
Today's a bad day to go to Downtown Disney, parking was full and closed and tomorrow's the Star Wars Marathon.
I said fuck it and ran to Target and grabbed Rey.
The actual build itself is more complex than I expected. I like the exclusive for now Star Wars gear box back cover.
Here's a god awful kicking Pohatu.
>Last skullfucker on the shelf
>Box was ripped wide open
>But nothing was gone
Figured I'd rescue him from his inevitable future in the bargain bin, or god forbid the actual bin.
I might give him a revamp of some sort in the future. He's pretty lackluster out of the box. That said, there's a lot more stuff and other projects I said I'd finish before I get to work on that.
Still though, He looks a helluva lot better than the villains we're getting this year.
>[ENDANGERED MATORAN DETECTED]
Don't worry, it's just the ususal circle of
"ZOMG, THEY LOOK LIKE SHIT, ALL HOPE IS LOST! WHY DON'T YOU CATER TO US TRUE FANS, TLG?!"
>clear pictures appear
"Looks bretty gud. Might get one or two"
>sets in hand
"HOLY SHIT, 10/10, UMARAK THE DESTROYER IS THE BEST SET EVER! TAKE ALL MY MONEY, TLG!"
Happened with pretty much every year.
It would be pretty hilarious if the leaks turn out to be fake after all this outrage. Definitely not expecting that though. The backgrounds alone look too legit for fakes, unless Lego is now making decoy prelims to combat leakers or something.
A lot of the old lore was ridiculous and shit
2001-2004ish were god tier don't get me wrong, but fucking alternate universes and all the stuff like obscure shit that only ever gets mentioned once or seems like some intern's shitty OC isn't good
I'm glad that there's still some mystery in the reboot, although a tiny bit more lore and context would be nice
>still more mystery
like what? seriously this is just a rehash of the original, Makuta is the evil shadow guy and Ekimu just replces the toa of light. all it did was replace god tier rahi technic sets with this beast shit where is my new exo toa armor? where are my mask packs?
I much preferred the creepyness of the mata style
the masks were more like masks instead of helmets and had more gaps
to me the toa were mysterious silent elemental god constructs sent from the heavens.
and now they are colourful sci-fi robots with a ridiculous V shape body.
Anyone else feeling let down by this reboot?
The first wave was really good, the protectors were small, nice sets and complimented the larger Toa nicely, while the bigger sets really nailed a good mix of nostalgic design and a modern look. Each one also looked different enough to be unique, but still look like a team.
The summer wave with bad guys was pretty meh, I only picked up the Skull Grinder vs Mask Maker, and that was only because of Ekimu.
Now the 2.0 Toa look alot worse. The fact that they all have the same tacky silver armor and bladed weapons make them look like some shitty Hero Factory sets. Ithink the colour scheme is my biggest complaint, it really looks ugly. The recently leaked summer wave doesn't look any better, Ekimu looks weird with those proportions, the beasts look, again, like some shitty hero factory rejects and Umarak himself is just big, but his tiny head on the massive body looks stupid.
I'm feeling mighty let down by lego. This was our theme they took from us true fans and just spit it in our face. No interesting new lore, no interesting new words or dictionary like our original superior G1 had. Not even video games, how the hell does Ninjago get games and high quality CGI tv series and not Friends tier netflix shit?
Star Wars is more deserving of sets seeing how it never got canceled, unlike bionicle, and did help Lego head into the right direction of branching out to licensed themes, I'm so happy with my Batman and Hulk CCBS, why are you so grumpy and bitter anon?
Is makuta dead?
Where is his body?
Why did the villager's cities fall into disrepair after ekimu left?
How did makuta influence the skull spiders and raise the skeleton warriors from the dead?
Where have the elemental beasts been the whole time and what is their significance?
Is umarak just another minion created by makuta or has he been hunting the beasts for much longer?
And where did the Toa come from this time around
The build system is not superior in something very important: variety
Also Lego only uses it to build boring humanoid body types over and over
I'm glad they're using more technic again and umarak was a step in the right direction slightly from just generic human-shaped villain guys because he had interesting antlers and legs but still
That was my own view of the bionicle back then.
I remember as a kid denouncing the bionicle movie because their masks had facial expressions and eyebrows. it was heresy gross and foul
Not talking about the movies
In the comics, books, and MNOG they always talked
I don't really think your childhood interpretation of them as silent which is untrue should affect your opinion on the reboot as there are bigger problems with it but whatever
I think what anon said is that there is mystery, but no immersion. MNOG and promotional material from 2001-2003 really immersed us on the world, and the 2015 animations didn't do this enough
Revenge of the Skull Spiders is actually pretty good when it comes to immersion. It employs MNOG's strategy of taking the main focus away from the Toa and only catching small glimpses of their adventures.
The implementation is far from perfect and doesn't really manage to set up proper atmosphere, but the general idea is definitely there.
>What do you like about them?
- whole unification gimmick works way better than that shit from 2007 and each figure simply looks amazing when combined, even with figures from different elements
- waist swivel as an additional point of articulation
- neat action functions on the beasts
- tons of Technic-integration
- even more parts than before
- shadow traps are way more complex than the spiders could ever hope to be
- what little issues they have like proportions, part arrangement, color distribution, etc. can easily be changed even with only the parts in the set, like switching Pohatu's shells around or flipping Umarak's shoulders so they won't look awkward anymore with the shadow trap deployed
The only things I'd complain about are that the secondary colors of the standard masks should've been trans, too instead of silver and that Kopaka's shoulder construction is pretty limiting.
Ninjago and Nexo Kinights seem to get on fine with no mystery. Times have changed. What worked 15 years ago is a thing of the past. Its all about how kids can relate to a product and what they see, not some mystery no one cares about. Its why cape films are doing so well these days, we know the good guys will always win so keep repeating it.
You couldn't be more wrong
The movies and some of the shit games for GBA or ps2, etc? Yeah those were made to sell toys
But stuff like the books or MNOG or the free comics were made to deepen the story
90% of the characters and stuff mentioned in those were never even released as toys
When Bionicle ended that fat guy who wrote the comics or whatever gave up because he wasn't getting paid to make any more children's book for it and went on to Ninjago. Whats the new writers name anyway? I don't really see much talk of him or the book. If someone could post some pages or link a free online version I'd be happy to catch up on what he got paid to write for this reboot.
They don't really do it for true/old fans but I agree that they should have made okoto online game or whatever (probably for cell phones as kids love playing shitty phone games all day)
The only thing I wish they had for the reboot was takanuva. I mean ekimu is alright, but with all the references to g1 and the vahi and the nuva symbols takanuva would have been better. He's one of the original gang just as much as tahu/lewa/gali/onua/pohatu/kopaka as far as I'm concerned
Hes not part of the original six though, he was an after thought for wave 2, which is why this wave 2 looks different. Its a good thing for a change to make it different and not boring again.
>someone actually is making a bionicle mod for skyrim
Skyrim? Why thats the greatest game of all time but fallout 4 would have been more appropriate seeing how it is skyrim with guns, therefore better.
If they wanted to make it so different they wouldn't have kept the Toa Mata in the first place
Or the Toa okoto now I guess or uniters or whatever they're called
It wouldn't be boring for the intended audience where 90% of there sales come from (the kids)
Actauly skyrim is fallout with swords so its actual the better game OK
falout is just sily OK skyrim is better is has magic and dragone and elfs and I made it and its MINE OK
Let's get the clock ticking again then:
Any ideas on the printed pieces? I'm assuming Ekimu will get gold and silver rune designs to match the Uniters. The Beasts seem to have a crystal theme like the Creatures so I'm expecting that kind of designs on their chests, though I wish they could get some weird stuff like Umarak's chest design. And I think Umarak's chest stickers will match the Beasts' style since he's (sadly) pretty much a larger Beast.
Remember the time when you didnt even need to be a set to have an official art? Those were the good times
I don't really get it. LB has this MOC-level hand but legs built by someone in kindergarten.
The blades stick out from the top axle-hole.
Not terribly sure I got Quake's right at all.
Something seemed really familiar about Kopaka, Lewa and Pohatu's limb builds.
You know why? Because I tried them all myself years ago and deemed them too shitty to use.
I get that they're trying something new, but it just isn't fucking good.
Same goes for ALL of the Beasts' legs. I hope whoever designed those gets fired.
That's a sweet MoCr, even if we never get it. The chest will probably have some gold printing to cover up the trans light blue. The upper legs could do with larger shells or shorter bones. Is the other mask black or gunmetal? As much as I like gunmetal parts, black would probably work better.
Those knees need to be fixed immediately. The weapons are a bit crap, but at least there's a bunch of the crystal blades to salvage.
I hope this is a mutant Korgot. Is that one of the Ben 10 hands in purple? I can't see much of the trans purple arm, but it looks promising.
Kill it with fire. Are those tans yellow claws or are they pulling a Pohatu on us again? This is a definite pass if things don't improve drastically.
I have a feeling that if the SW figures didn't exist, we'd just have the same Bionicle sets that we have now. It's not that the Star Wars sets eat up Bionicle budget, it's that Lego had room for another constraction theme and decided to give SW some figures.
We've had Ultrabuilds since 2012. It never really felt as if those sets (all with six figures per wave) ate up magic HF budget.
Dang it man, you're getting me all embarrassed. Take a look at this snippitysnapshot, then form an opinion.
I say this every time we see pictures of new waves, but the leaked wave looks like shit. Might just bricklink the masks and be done.
(I also thought uniter lewa looked like shit, and turned out to be my favorite uniter so fas, so what do I know?)
Has anything about the 2016 sets pleasantly surprised you?
I figured I'd hate tahu's weapons but I actually kind of like them. That and I was gonna make potato's arms longer but I gave him some 2015 brown and he looks a lot better just by doing that alone.
3 things in this reply.
1) These new leaks look like shit, do we have reason to believe them?
2) I finally got my gold skull mask, yey. Hail Ukraine
3) Would this be a good list of all G2 Rares in order of rarity:
Can't get tier: Solid Golds, then Trans Gali
Dang tier: Clear Tahu, then Trans Scorpio
Neat tier: Villain Pack, then (a lot farther down) Hero Pack
then everything else?
So an online store has 10 % off today. I'm seriously thinking off ordering all my 2016 wants in one swoop, right now I'm justufying it by it being my Birthday January 27th
No idea, but they are most surely real, the thing with fake leaks is that they general have no new pieces, and are made extremely blurry to hide this fact as well as the differences in photography vs. CG, they also have a tendancy to look like MOCs rather than actual sets. These sets have just enough flaws, as well as plenty of new pieces, to make them believable. But what really sells it is the detailed and consistent background art.
Are we even sure these sets just didn't release and people who say they found the sets in stores are actually a part of the lego company trying to perpetuate this conspiracy of sets? Wake up rahi!
They were 20 dollars last year and had less pieces than they do now.
Tahu has a more complex shoulder build as well as more pieces in his weapons than the 15 dollar Toa, Onua has his giant hammer upping the price.
Goddamnit, dude, I wish I had CCBS growing up. Bones and shells are so fucking satisfying to build with.
I remember getting one in a package with a chrome hau. I don't remember what was the name, but the CD which included some bionicle music was the best thing ever
How did the CD with the Chrome Hau sell? I'm sure it would have been a nice extra product to sell, Then again we did have the Hero and Villain Packs but that's not exactly the same now is it?
/biog/, of the new parts that we got, did we get a part like this, except an axle hole in the middle instead of a peg hole?
Switched some parts around on Lewa. I thought his leg design was unique but it was too restricting on his foot movement. I also switched around his smaller swords with his 2015 ones.
not at all
what gave you that idea?
the only difference between the new "spine" parts and the old ones are that they no longer have ball joints where arms should go and have a gear where the hip ball joints would go.
Messed with Pohatu some. Some another anon made changes to his arms, it was close but not to my likings.
The shape of the torso and the technic pins make it stupidly easily to make a gearbox with the right pieces. You literally need four pieces total to make the outline of a gearbox.
Messed with his legs too, I felt the need for some technic limbs. This is the best I could get with the parts I have right now. I hate how much it sticks out on the inside.
Left side is what Pohatu is going to have, right side is for a future change on Gali whenever I get her.
That skinny shoulder area really doesn't look to great
Speaking of shoulders, can anyone who has umarak post what he looks like with the shoulder pieces flipped? Its supposed to make him much less gappy
This is my alternative shoulder design for him. I always imagined Lewa as being super skinny and agile.
Long time ago, even if the summer canisters sets where complete horse shit, we still had the titans which some of them where pretty imaginative (Gadunka, Vezon & Fenrahk), now the TLC has gotten lazy and we only get four sets of questionable quality. Heck they are an Invasion from Below reharsh, applying poor building techniques in their structure, Enkimu looks pretty bad with those HF foot pieces from five years ago, Umarak hands look crappy as fuck, they are professional designers, they must put more effort at making this sets aesthetically appealing, they are saving big bucks releasing all this crappy sets, just look at the horrendous Pohatu color scheme, the whole new Gali design, and Kopaka terrible balance of colors. I can't even explain their weird fetishism with gunmetal, grey and silver, 2015 sets could have been GOAT if they had uniform and colorful color schemes and a new foot piece.
Haven't posted here in awhile, I'd like some feedback.
Tried out custom shoulder-arm segmants and lower legs on this sap, I personally like how it turned out, but feedback is always good.
Something I thought about: has anyone tried making magnaguards to go with grievous yet? I'd try myself but I definitely don't own enough ccbs to do so.
Your post a shit.
You aren't helping.
Always keep your eyes on what's being sold on Ebay. I've got five Rahkshi on my shelf that I virtually stole from three people on that site. But a usually faster and more consistent way is to just buy the pieces on Bricklink.com. You can also ask here for help. http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?id=4705#T=I
Don't forget we have building instructions. It'll save you money.
I wish I could have gotten one of those packs.
Did some minor fixes for Lava Beast.
The net is supposed to be some sort of makeshift bandage, He's falling apart.
Whats up with the piston running from Storm Beast's ass all the way to his shoulder?
That'd be neat actually, swinging his waist and shoulder so it looks like an actual attack.
Also if these are real which ones do you plan on getting? UtD and Storm Beast here, but I hope they all improve markedly before release. These are still early prelims so there's still a fair chance they won't turn out awful.
Tried re-doing my MOC using just 2015 Pohatu and Rey. Can't wait to get 2016 Pohatu + buddy.
Creativity really is key here. There are lots of ways to achieve results. Just do some experimenting, look at references and you'll come up with something that fits what you're looking for.
Here, go through the list and pick ones you think would work.
And you may find some useful parts in one of these categories as well.
what mask is this, I see it used on almost all of these
Does anyone know how complete this list usually is? Both JtO and the Lego Friends thing are nowhere to be found, not even in the "Coming up" section.
Made an upgraded Uxar with them Ant Man wings. Lost the wing flapping gimmick, but he looks a LOT more insect like now.
Tried adding a mouth to the head, but nothing didn't either look stupid and/or block Lewas head during unification.
Would probably look better with a third set of gray Invasion tails, but I still think it comes out looking pretty good for a giant lizard/dragon/Bloatfly attached to the back of a biomechanical Warriors body.
It would be neat as fuck but the Ribcage armor is placed so low it can't be the unity torso.
Sadly, it's the fucking garbage HF torso, you can even see the hand balljoint sticking out.
I would happily pay that much for a titan-sized set, yes.
I think the problem is that the big bad for both years so far is too similarly-proportioned to the Toa. That's fine for the lesser villains like the Skull Squad or the Elemental Beasts, as they only fight 1 or 2 Toa at a time. But the main villain needs to seem like they can handle taking on 6 Toa at once. Every year of the original run had at least 1 villain set that was much larger than the Toa that were available at the time.
Found this in a Marie Curie window, too expensive for me but fuck its not often you see a sealed 2001 box just sitting in a shop window.
I'm just using Nuva shoulders connected to ball joints. It looks a bit like this at the moment.
You don't want masks, you want shoulder parts.
This means CCBS Hero Factory/Star Wars shoulders, Nuva shoulders, or Knight's Kingdom rounded shoulder armor.
There's a lot of ways to do tits. Velken69, DawnofNSSD, Hugebricks, and Vezonisme are all good names to look at for inspiration and on occasion actual instructions that you can use to make your lady with giant tits.
On Bricklink this translates into the Bionicle, Hero Factory, and Large Figure Part parts sections as being your most useful when picking out ass n' tiddy parts.
One of the problems with NSSD's stuff is that it's both really simple and usually involves some heresy. For this reason, it pays to look around and find other guys who've MOCed ladies to find techniques to imitate or for other ideas.
There's a whole bunch of other guys on Tumblr, Flickr, and even Brickshelf who've made fat titties n' ass, so yeah.
Is Skull Grinder's right arm supposed to always fall from the weight of his grinder? The gear function doesn't seem strong enough to be able to pose properly. Or are my pieces just loose or something?
The weapon has too much mass for two gears of friction to handle. Even Gali has that problem but her weapon has less mass, so it falls much slower.
Add another gear or two inside of Grinder's arm cylinders or take the extra gear from Ekimu. I'm sure one gear is enough for the little guy to handle his hammer.
I don't really care about the gear function, so I put a pin in his back to stop it. It feels like Lego included this hole for this reason.
I replaced the friction gears in his staff arm with a ball joint and connector like Onua's arm and put the friction gears on his other arm and now my Skull Grinder is stronk enough to carry a Toa, highly recommend.
Man what a disappointment, Umarak the Hunter was such a fantastic unique figure, this one is generic as fuck.
More of an ass man?
>green (cool evil kind not gay lewa kind)
This is what I managed with some Gen 1s and a technic truck
no butt because no good parts
I'm new at this minimal bully pls
Yes. They're a bit too long. If they have to be longer than 2L, I would use black 3L axles with black half-beam pieces instead of the blue ones. Grey works as well, but I was matching the axles to the half-beams.
I actually really like this. The colour scheme needs fixing, but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the construction. Could you show us how to build it? Nice tits. I'd recommend removing the foot stickers if you can't fix their placement. They don't add much to the piece anyway.
Very good points. I made this in kind of a hurry, so the wings are just lifted straight off of the Ant Man set, but I've done the smaller axles on it before and they work fine. I'll do those later today. What I REALLY wanna do is find a way to get those trans green wings back on, and maybe modify the body so it's more dragonfly like
I used what I had on hand, bad colors
The build isn't complicated, I just looked at a bunch of pictures and tried to do it myself. I don't know the names/models of any of these parts but I can describe sets
The feet stickers came from some black/orange lego mech I made when I was much younger so that's why they look bad
Made this last night, I've since updated slightly with rubber bands for decoration. Anyways, Help me think up a backstory for him.
What's his name? Where'd he come from? Why are his arms all fucked up? What's with the spooky skelemask? Does he work for one of your Mocs? Do one of your Mocs fall under his command? Is he a coward? headstrong? dumb as a rock?
I want him to become a thing, doesn't even need to be a him, it can be a her. or an it. it's a fucking robot.
What's with all the Japanese on that newspaper?
If it's canceled then why does it show up when I search for Lego?
That looks pretty alright, considering how little you're probably able to work with. The shaping is great, but the colors, not so much. Needs a more coherent color scheme. Maybe find a color that compliments green or dark green. Or only use green and dark green. Also, try putting the big green parts on the thighs on the sides instead of the front.
Here are some tools to help you get started
>Lego Digital Designer
Bricklink is a user to user shop for lego parts. You'll be wanting to use this site to order anything you don't have on hand.
LDD is exactly what it sounds like. It's great for planning out a moc before ordering parts from Bricklink, or tooling around with parts you may not have. The downside is that it's short on a few older and newer Bionicle parts.
he was like an old rich king that fought in a war
after his son died in battle he became a lich to try to find a way to bring his son back
after decades of losing his mind and his skin decaying, he started gold plating his own bones and now spends his time attacking passerby to take their money
or something like that, I don't know
KING OF THE SCRAPYARD
Stupid as hell, but everyone loves him. Only evil when evil people give him better things, but he gets bored of those things after a week and returns to his junk kingdom.
why would someone put that much effort into making an edit, aside from maybe TLC itself rusing people
Made a modified mining mech for Ahkmou
I feel like he deserved a titan set at some point
Being bored and wanting to see how long you can fool people? I personally don't believe they're fake, but I'll still take this chance to throw more fuel into the conspiracy fire and remind everyone that the winter leaks were taken down soon after being posted here, while Lego didn't react to these at all.
Hey thanks for the advice this looks way better
Also whats an MOC?
Figure is not at college with me, but I have more pics. The arms are fairly stable without Ahkmou connected to them, and when he IS connected they can be raised as high as functionally possible past parallel.
>Umarak and the Beasts are pretty much elemental spirits
>Mfw they can be reused for the Element Lords
Forgot to resize and change it. Awh well, Here's Akamai with separate weapons.
And of course he has uniting capabilities.
How does my humanoid Skull Scorpio look? What can I do to make it better?
Still needs a stinger tail.
>A former Matoran working a 9 to 5 shift in a mine, the honest and hardworking Bolax lived a simple life. A wife and daughter. A small house and farm near the mountains he worked. All was well, until one day his legs were broken in a mine shaft explosion that killed his best friend. He was let go and denied workmans comp, leaving him with no way to provide for his family. In a rash move, he offered to do a job for some thugs from Alakawats. However, after the job went south, he came home to find his wife and daughter gutted, their entrails strewn across the charred remains of his house. He went after the thugs for revenge, but soon found himself outnumbered. With an ax strike to his head, Bolax fell down a deep chasm, seemingly killed.
>Things were not as it seemed. Near death at the bottom of the chasm, Bolax soon found himself surrounded by Skull Spiders, yet they didn't attack him. Their leader, the Lord of Skull Spiders, came up to him. "Who did this to you?" he asked through a raspy, insect-like voice. "T....The...." Bolax could not answer, but LoSS knew what he was saying. With a wave of his staff, Bolax was covered in Skull Spiders, the metal of their body melting around him. He was transformed into a powerful golem-like creature, forever indebted to the LoSS. The LoSS decided that, with this new, powerful body, he needed a new name, one that would strike fear into the hearts of those who opposed him. From this day forth, he was no longer known as Bolax. He was... Bon-Bon. Bon-Bon, who travels the world looking for the men that killed his family. Bon-Bon, who lives in the shadows. Bon-Bon, who rights whatever wrongs he sees. He is Bon-Bon, the Spider Prince.
>Bolax was a member of the species Matoranis Viventius, which is a sub-set of matoran that feature distinctly biological characteristics such as organs and the ability to reproduce. Bolax's transformation into Bon-Bon replaced these biological systems with mechanical ones.
I guess they have weird incubators that they throw stuff in. Presumably, after a good amount of time, they pop out. Continuing with these assumptions, every year more or less, they put these children into a pod to grow them until they are fully grown. With this, I will make a giant leap and say that the toa were protectors that ekimu had incubating long enough to be large warriors, which would explain what the skull warriors were. The skull warriors may have also been over incubated warriors that died long ago, thus their size is explained.
I don't know if this could explain anything about Umarak, but that's all I could pull out of my ass. Feel free to continue my madness.
Everything but "Bon-Bon" will remain canon for this fellow.
Thank you, Anon.
>my mom just tried to send my bag of bionicles to my cousins overseas
>stopped her and grabbed my bag
Fuck, I didn't know I still cared that much.
>scorpio has been reduced to gardening shears
My parents threw my bonkles away without my knowledge or consent a couple years ago.
Now all I have to work with is parts from BA Stormer, Protecter of water, a couple extra system pieces from the TIE fighter SF, and a loose mata red hand piece.
But I'm only 18.
They threw my things away when I was 16.
