who plans to go outside to take photos this winter? how do you protect your cameras from the snow?
They got leaked early at Walmart in a few areas. North/South Carolina, Indiana, Texas, Las Vegas, and Cali are the confirmed spots so far. Good luck anon.
>North/South Carolina, Indiana, Texas, Las Vegas, and Cali
>not in any of those areas
damn it. i want old solo, and jango. hell i want the whole wave. i also heard there is a better rey coming out? what are the differences between the first wave and the new one?
New Rey has better paint apps. DESU wave 5 as a whole is a is a massive improvement over the previous waves. There's not a bad figure in the bunch. Hasbro is slowly starting to figure this shit out.
The SHF, 1:12 scale (kind of)
It can fold up, too.
i really hope he comes with a swappable arm. cus if so i wanna get 2. one for the original trilogy and one for TFA.
Still making tweaks and adjustments to my set up. But I think I'm getting the hang of this.
Thats the first pic of the upgrade set that i like.
I wanna go all put with UW bruticus. Being my favorite combiner with my favorite characters i feel he deserves the best.
Yeah, usually if I set up displays, i'll take shots with multiple toys before taking it down
Took this last night. It's just some Crash Bandicoot & TMNT stuff placed in the bay of my printer with a conical light placed over it. Made a decent enough display for my Nichijou figures/models.
Someone told me it was supposed to snow tomorrow. Got my hopes up to finally take some neat snow shots of my own. Turns out it's only gonna be cold enough to get some ice flurries and really cold rain.
Like a knife in my heart.
>tfw you cant take outside photos because of work
shit sucks. By the time its over I hardly have the energy to keep standing.
Captain America and Iron Patriot team up to discover who really watches the Watchmen.
Just got this little shit in the mail today.
I absolutely love all the designs from this series.
Some enchanted evening
You may see a stranger,
You may see a stranger
Across a crowded room
And somehow you know,
You know even then
That somewhere you'll see her
Again and again.
My original desire was to have spidey doing one of those leg-pops you see in romantic situations, but the machine couldn't support his weight when he did, and I couldn't find the stand for him, so instead I went with the First Avenger-esque chest touch.
If you had a tumblr i would follow the shit out of you.
I guess Tumblr would be a good additional social media thing. Is there much of a toy community on there?
Yeah. There is. Im on there, a buch of /toy/ people are on there.
>tfw you can take outside photos because of work
I'm gonna miss that aspect of managing outdoor ice rinks.
eh? "lol you're poor" is the appropriate response? i've spent like 250 in the last week on toys m8 i just think your taste is poopie
but you are probably a nice person in real life at least
Did some for the last gunpla thread last week. Kept the camera inside my jacket until I quickly used it. It was around - 16 celsiys
QUICK, TAKE A SUBSTANCE ABUSE PIC OF YOUR WAIFU/HUSBANDO
I don't want to be a dick but that picture would be better done in a controlled environment. Everything looks out of scale with your figure, where the hell in the Star Wars Universe are the laves and trees that big? I really hope you continue to work on your outside "photography". Keep grinding brother.
any shots of your pets and toys? one of my gecks was chilling in primes trailer.
Took a couple outdoor shots recently
Miku likes to have a smoke between races
You get more awkward reactions if you're posing figmas or busou shinkis, but when it's robots or such it's always with oohs and ahhs.
Nendoroid shooter here. My experience -
NYC - no one gives a damn
Cali - ranges from no one giving a shit to curious onlookers to getting compliments
Thailand - They not only don't notice, they get in your way.
Singapore - People walk by and pretend not to notice. Kids come up and say Hi or watch in silence.
Japan - Schoolgirls go "wa! kawaiii". But I assume they mean the Nendoroid, not me.
Don't know what I did, but hope this works. Another outdoor shot from before the snow in my metal gear image a few posts back
they dont say anything to me. the one time i went to squaw rock some hikers came by and said it was cool because i had a godzilla with me. but my fiancee has a huge piece of property so i just go to her place and take most of my outside photos.
I believe it's the instant noodle Super Pochacho (?), my local shop has her.
when I took those AT-ST pictures I went to great care waiting for people to pass and finding an deserted area. And the word you're looking for i "passersby"
Very sorry about the fuzzy quality.
On a related note, is there anyway to improve low light photos with Iphone or is it time to upgrade?
My Solidus came in today. Super cool figure, just really hard to pose with all these details
Question: should i even post fuzzy photos that i took with my phone like this and the last few ones?
i'm too lazy to get out my camera for every quick idea that i have, but i don't know if its worth it.
tl;dr are fuzzy phone pics in low light even welcome here?
I'm not him. But I have a question in the same area. What kind of camera should I look into buying? I don't know shit about cameras but I just want an affordable camera to take photos of my toys. Suggestions?
Phone cameras work fine, you just need proper lighting and a steady hand.
not all that bad for me. i think its the scarf that makes it look weird, but his neck is actually pretty normal beneath it. though, he's not really meant to be posed without a scarf; which is a bummer, because i liked his ingame outfit without it better.
i mean, of course i have lamps, but my pics still look grainy as shit. but my phone is very old, i still think its the phones fault - pics taken with my normal cam usually turn out a lot better.
Most of the times they ask if they can take a photo as well. Sometimes they also ask where I buy this stuff.
I really couldn't care less. Do what ya wantm
I recently got a DSLR after my old point and shoot died. It's way better than the point and shoot, where it was nigh impossible to get a good shot unless I've got a hot as hell sunny day.
I got an older model, so the price was pretty cheap. Cheaper than a new point and shoot anyways.
My point is, try looking for an older model (preferably never been opened or from a trusted source) that was fairly high end when it first came out. That way, you can get a good product for a low buy-in until you're more comfortable with cameras.
Or just use your phone's camera.
Only picture I've ever taken that I thought actually looked good, and even now I wish I had a better camera and a decent background.
Most of the time I'm just happy to find a nice pose that doesn't take up too much space on a shelf
