Where in the seven hells can I find a metroid for retail.
I live in Tampa bay where everything is scalped to hell and back and tru took it off the website.
Anyone getting rid of theirs or have an extra?
got an acrylic stand from a closing store.
Since it's the only thing I'm looking forward to, posting new ALBW Figma pics. Face looks a little derpy here.
But he comes with this badass serious face that is totally cooler in every way.
Hope he comes with a sheath, although neither the official or in-game models have one, so I might be out of luck.
And as if there were still any question that this Link is better than the fag-faced Skyward Sword version, he actually comes with some equipment!
I would have rather a bow or a boomerang, but this is neat.
So no single version of ALBW Link comes with all the accessories? That's lame. It's still more than Skyward Sword Link came with, though. He had nothing beyond a sheath. So yeah.
And then there's this, but who even cares?
>but who even cares?
I mean yeah the core mechanic of the game the figma is based on who even cares
They should've released the Windwaker nendoroid without the WIndwaker. Or the Majora's Mask Nendoroid without Majora's Mask. Who even cares?
Wait wait wait, what the fuck?
First off, where did these pics come from please? And more importantly, who said that there will be 2 different releases of the new Link figma? Where was this info please so I can be on the up and up?
It's a probably just a flat piece of cardboard stuck in the box. It's cool that they included it, but at least the other games had mechanics/gimmicks that facilitated better accessories than a cardboard cut-out.
What's GSC and how do I get one? I would ultimately be okay with nothing, but if I can score a bomb and hookshot for a little more dosh, I'll be all over it.
Got the pics here. Can't help you with the multiple release info, as this is the first I'm hearing of it as well.
Wow do you not know how to lurk either and how the figma fucking general a few threads over is also pissing themselves as to how unfair it is for a few measley pairs of plastic that make up such a legendary character from bazinga nerd culture?
I don't give a fuck about figma or anything. I only care because they happen to be releasing a good Link figure, which is why I'm in the Nintendo general and not the Figma general you stupid ass. Not everyone is a jobless neet that can afford to comb the entire board for information, you fucking sperg.
haha holy shit I didn't releasize how fucking stupid this general is it even says on the blog but wait /v/-kun probably can't read nip nong... nevermind..
>being buttmad that someone doesn't honor your favorite Japanese toy dojo with the same quiet reverence that you do
I'm not certain why you think I care about anything you have to say. I have no stake in any of this shit. I'm going to spend my money and get something I want, and you feel the need to be smug about something. Its hilarious and pitiful.
Yeah; I meant it was ONLY posted 3 hours ago so it is quite understandable not everyone saw the figma thread.
Some of you people just like being jerky, huh?
Anyways I think he looks fucking INCREDIBLE!!!! WOW, THAT HOOKSHOT, BOMB, ETC.!!!!
You're very welcome, anon.
Except I never said that. In fact, I said here >>5387245 that I would gladly pay more money to get more stuff. Try harder, you're running out of ammo.
>getting mad about someone sharing information in a relevant thread
Someone has autism all right...
So glad ALBW Link is coming with so much equipment. I had hoped for bombs, boomerang and a bow, as those are the most staple items in my opinion, but they had some really good choices in there.
I know it's not likely, but I hope they keep the Link train rolling and we get an OoT or TP Link Figma next, with a few more items.
I'd like to see them continue the train rolling by making a LBW Zelda figma. I like her design in that game, and she needs figures badly
Also, the items are a preorder bonus, but all those items for a little extra price is a good deal
Well it doesn't. It comes with less accessories than SS Link since it doesn't even have a sheath this time. You need to use their store and pay their 2k flat rate to get anything else because this time not one, but all of the accessories besides the sword and face are store exclusive. GSC started the new year with a bang so buckle up and take it like a good boy.
It's pretty simple to use and they do, just check their store. The only upsetting thing is you'll have to pay premium price because nowadays they can get away with striping regular releases of accessories.
It's way more than that, amiami and other stores have it on discount and charge you less for shipping, without accounting you might have other items for the same month that now you won't be able to combine with it. EMS will also surely be taxed if you live in a place were you have to worry about that.
I'm so excited for the Kirby and MMLink Nendos coming out this month I can't contain it. I know he's not technically Nintendo but I'm also snapping up Megaman. He's going in my Smash display anyhow.
Doubt they will. Nendos, statues, figmas so far all of Link. GSC don't really care about expanding the line when can they just easily reissue one of these. This last move should show you this. Even the accessories are made in extremely limited quantities.
>treating an emoticon like a sentence and putting a period at the end
Huh? I'm saying why did you use the word ANYHOW. That's like saying you are going to put Megaman in your Smash display DESPITE SOME REASON.
There is NO REASON that you SHOULDN'T put Megaman in your Smash display. No reason to use the word "anyhow".
Holy shit the influx from /v/ is staggering.
Listen up, since you guys are akin to eating the shit fed to you it comes as no surprise that you'd shed the extra cash for muh zelda. For those of you not in the know GSC (Good Smile Company) is the distributor of Figma. Their online shop (Good Smile Company Online Shop) will have an EXCLUSIVE variant that comes with all the extra shit for a higher price point.
Not that bad right?
Well what you all also probably don't know is that the online shop has a flat rate shipping expense of 2000 yen. The reason this is bad is because it makes the figure WAY more expensive than it SHOULD be. (Don't try to argue that the price is fair, the online shop exclusive controversy pre-dates the time you people from /v/ were born. Also figuarts could be of equal quality and still come with more shit at a lower price point.)
The reason this is a problem is because when /v/ comes out of the woodwork and starts blindly purchasing these things they are effectively Enabling GSC's behavior making the rest of the line suffer as a result.
I know boycotting this figure is probably damn near impossible for a lot of you, but I'm not gonna let desire trump reason on this one as I am tired of Goodsmile's shit and this is the straw that broke the camels back.
Sorry, don't care. I never buy Figmas, or many toys in the first place. It's an isolated purchase for some of us, who have been waiting for such a figure for many years. We don't really care if we're enabling some foreign toy company to Jew you on your monthly orders of plastic anime waifus.
I love that classic Link. Was thinking of sticking it on an amiibo base.
But...but I've loved Zelda ever since the late 80s, early 90s, I need the extortion pieces or my toy won't be complete...
I agree the practice is disgusting, but my ocd won't allow it.
Bet the international partners are to blame for this shit. They know how well it does on the west and that keeping the real deal GSC exclusive on Japan would make most of you use their service instead.
Shame I live in a shithole. There's no partner shop. Taxes from the stupid American distributor will fuck me either way so it doesn't benefit me one bit.
>new robot revoltechs run 60 bucks average
>SHF being Jews with physical DLC
>SHMA and SRC are dead because bandai doesn't want to take any risks
>now this shit
Toys were a mistake
Just the fact that he was in most of the games that had one of the best artstyles
Hopefully it comes back to bite you in the ass when your shitty Smash waifu gets a figma with 10 different versions for each accessory
Good grief, /v/ shitters really are as bad as they say. This doesn't only affect waifufags either.
Did anyone pay attention to the prices of Skyward Sword Link? He was rereleased a few times, and I didn't keep track of his prices each time. I'm imagining that this new ALBW Link will get a rerelease, which is why I'm wondering, what was the price point for rereleases, was it more, less, or the same? I really want this Link but I may have to wait this release out.
>guy remarks how he just wanted a toy that reminded him of Link look he wanted for decades
So is this deluxe version gonna be a limited run?
I know its coming to the USA but do you guys think that its gonna be a one time run?
>tfw youre not a fucking neet anymore and you can preorder the deluxe edition as soon as its up
its 3000 Yen more thats barley over 25 bucks USD
The deluxe is 1000 yen more than the regular version thats 8.50ish more for the extras, which is a more than fair price
so shipping is 17
EMS takes about a little over a week to arrive its the fastest and most reliable shipping service that includes insurance.
If you import or export anything you should be used to those shipping cost. ever try shipping outside of the USA. shipping an item at the same level of quality of EMS costs roughly around $25 for small packages if you want to send out a packaged item.
EMS Shipping is usually around 15 dollars as it is for a small items and is the best shipping option
frankly I dont understand why people are baffled by the price. If you import figures its actually realistic and fair, I can only see people who are on a super tight budget but if your on that short of a budget you shouldnt be buying it in the first place honestly.
Is it me or does it look like Megaman's got some decent leg/knee articulation going on?
most people on this board are in the USA so its safe to just explain things in USD.
any capable person is able to use a currency converter and understand shipping cost
being american I know most americans are stupid enough to not comprehend this
frankly every time ive dealt with a foreigner about international shipping they are alot more comprehensive
It's Mother Fuckin Waluigi Time!
Found the new wave of 4" at Toys R Us.
Grabbed Waluigi, Sheik, and Bowser Jr.
Bowser Jr is probably the best of the wave. I'd like to find a paint brush for him to hold and maybe make a Koopa Clown Car.
And yet the option of no RSAL or other shipping options really does one on the people who live in countries that have an import/custom fees.
Since EMS is a guaranteed charge, that can bump the price up by 20/30 dollars ontop of the figure and the shipping.
As someone who lives in one of those countries, I'm just gonna have to grin and bear it as I'm going to pretty much come off the slippery slope once my orders between now and June are fulfilled.
We better be getting Jakks 4" Ganondorf soon.
I would also like to see Zelda (oh god she'll probably have limited articulation like Peach and wear shorts...) or Impa too.
To the anon that recommended fhat walmart fishtank, thank you. I plan on giving the lid a metallic finish and adding a bunch of tubes and shit
Articulation for Waluigi:
Lnees, elbow, shoulder are jointed. Balljointed hips (not that useful), head, arms, feet, and hands can rotate.
Bowser Jr: wrist, shoulders, feet, hips, and tail are jointed. Legs, wrist, head, arms, and feet can rotate.
Bandana is a molded separate piece, if anyone's curious. Head's too tight to pop and remove, so not gonna risk trying to make a custom "Baby Bowser" figure.
I think this is it? The other guy and myself both got them for $30 in store. The box for mine said three gallons though so im not sure if its the same one.
You can do this.
Yeah thats exactly what I had in mind
I already own some polymer balls (im actually a florist) and am gonna do that I was just worried about water on a figure I wasnt sure if it would be ok. Just got into collecting a little over a year ago so I dont know much
Some anons did it years ago on their figures and there was no side effect, I think 1 anon left a model kit in the jar for a couple of months and there was no change whatsoever but it was a long time ago so I'm not sure if the last part of what I said is true, try a sacrificial figure first when in doubt.
Can't find the pics of /toy/ doing it so I posted a different one.
Im not goona pose the metroid really in the first place Just want to recreate a lifesize version of the baby metroid in a jar like in super metroid
>people try to avoid falling into their tactics in large enough numbers
>they just keep making the exclusives worse to put more pressure on you to buy from them
Sounds like we lose no matter what. It's impossible to tell whether they got to this point because they were being enabled, or because their exclusives sales weren't as good as they wanted.
Dunno, I just came here from /v/ and pre-ordered that Link. 67 bucks is a bit much, but the only other figures I tend to order are MP Transformers, which are in the same price range to import. Granted, they're bigger, more complex, and change into licensed vehicles, but god damn. That's the best Link figure I've ever seen. I've wanted something like it since I was 5 years old. Money is no object.
Only way I'd trade up is if they ever made a figure of pic related.
It's pretty fucking stupid too. Barring LEGO /toy/ doesn't have a lot of properties of it's own, and even LEGO now is survives on the shoulder of other franchises. All shit discussed here is originally from a different board. /co/, /a/, /v/, /tv/.
Crossboarders are a given and /v/ doesn't make a much of a impact as they like to think. I've been a regular for a long time and this board was ruined by regulars bitching, general culture and subsequent decline of OC.
so that explains why people here get so bent out of shape when you discuss any figurine that remotely looks like anime.
I mean it's not like you can go on /a/ or /v/ and discuss toys even if they are related to board. They also get pissy and refer you here, and then this shit happens.
I'm glad they finally fixed the fucking shield. I mean, I understand both it and the Master Sword are more stylized and cartoony now, but one of my biggest gripes with Skyward Sword Link was the terrible shield straps.
It's even worse if you're a Transformers fan. They're toys and comics/cartoons that are all pretty closely-related, but there's always people in every thread that get triggered if you even mention another aspect of the franchise.
I never owned SS Link. What was wrong with his shield straps?
Why is everyone pissing their pants about the Deluxe version of toon link? He come's with a few extra items that I'll probably never pose him with and it somehow makes him worth and extra 2,400 yen?
Here is the deluxe LBTW Figma for $55. You get a $5 for making a new account lowering it to $50. Free shipping as well. Only problem is they charge you right away.
$50 +free shipping and only 20% down ($10) at Anime Island:
No, it's cool. I just think it's good they did a version with less accessories for people who only care about the figure. For example the Sherlock Hound figma is 9,000 yen because it comes with a car. I bet there are fans of the character who would have been fine paying less and going without the car.
that fucking does it, im finally posting this
Got in a shiny samus now the current roster is complete. Just want them to release a non varia suit and Id be more than happy
Regardless of possibility I prefer jakks due to sculpt of armor. fuck other M.
I have figma link and samus and love the characters but hate the specific games the figmas chose to base the figures off.
Very nice! That metallic Samus is sweet. I liked Skyward Sword after using homebrew cheats to make Fi Shut the fuck up whenever you collect a treasure. Wish Motion Plus didn't eat through batteries though.
stamina bugged me more than FI honestly
My problem was the repeating the 3 zones so many times. my save got deleted before getting the last mastersword upgrade sidequest and I cant bring myself to bother going through the game and watched a Lets play for the ending.
I hope they windwaker it in a decade and fix the issues. I used to hate wind waker and HD remake fixed all my problems with the game and now its one of my favorites.
I want another top down zelda agian Link between worlds is my favorite zelda since minish cap.
new link figma is one that I want so bad he will be the closest to oracle design as it will get and I cant wait to 3d print that shield design
Get Gecko OS on your Wii if you ever decide to replay it.
Moving back on topic, I'm pissed I put in a pre-order for DX Link at the Goodsmile Shop before realizing it wasn't an exclusive for us non-Japs. Anyone else do the same? I just didn't want to miss out.
>le i hate everything that has to do with other m
Regardless of how mediocre the game was, you have to be a grade A autistic sperglord to be this bent out of shape over that suit. It looks great.
Regular samus Is proper orange to me that I remember from metroid II and super metroid art
Shiny is metroid prime so they both have their place for me.
I just wish that shiny wasnt an exclusive
I dislike Other M. a very small portion was actually fun and it ruined one of my favorite characters of any medium.
Suit looks fine I never said the design of the suit was trash I just hate its game and that suit design was only in Other M and Smash 4 since smash is not a metroid game I can only connect it to a terrible game.
Basicly that design was only in the worst metroid game, suit design is fine. I was only talking about how I hate that they based the figmas on the weakest games of the franchises. Until they reuse that armor design in a good metroid game it will still be a meh metroid figure due to being from a trash game.
wow you put a lot of thought into something so trivial
>25 seconds worth of cinematic scenes ruined 30 years of AAA games
Game was bad turned a good character into trash does not mean I cant enjoy any of the older or newer games. Played CDI zelda games and still found Link between worlds fun
My last reply on the matter you guys should go back to /v/
>Also where is the confirmation that DX Link Figma is coming to US sources?
gsc's fb page, and the fact that it went up for PO on several US sites. maybe read some of the thread next time
Did you not read the thread?
There's two versions: the standard one which comes with a sword, shield and angry face, and the ultimate jew DX version which comes with all that, a bomb, pot, hookshot, rod, rupee and snail. The latter is exclusive to GSC's online shop and select international retailers
Im the one who asked about the tank. Thanks a bunch picked it up today its great.
also managed to find a shiek there while I was at it.
its meh but im a sucker for zelda
hand rotation? can he sit? can he fuck?
Yes his hands can rotate.
Unfortunately I don't have a Wario on me, I had the sofubi, but not sure where I put it.
So aftermarket prices for 6 inch metroid and ganon is pretty much the price now right? that line is dead and there will be no more reprints right? i guess i dont really need them. i rather have twlight/oot dorf and a 4 inch metroid.
I went tonite, saw that they had one last shovel knight but i didnt care about getting it, looks nice though. they had all the new wave of WON 4 inch with waluigi, cat luigi, gold mario, sheik and bowser jr. i got the bjr, sheik and waluigi. i almost wanted the gold mario but i rather have silver/metal mario
>Local TRU only has six pegs dedicated to it now.
But at least I got my Waa.
>Didn't get into figure collecting until April-ish 2015
>Wanted to make a Nintendo collection
>Pit and Red were, and still are, ridiculously expensive
Considering the distribution issues that plagued amiibos, I don't want to even think about them trying to manage a full-fledged toyline. Besides, the current approach is fine - by having multiple different companies producing figures for different demographics, you get much more variety than you would with just one company. As much as people circlejerk over the idea of a full Smash toyline, that's never gonna happen, and if Nintendo made their own toys, they'd be focusing on the heavy hitters rather than making shit like Captain Falcon.
Man, i had pit preordered when he first came out, but other anons were saying how the paint on his scarf chips off easily. Im not a big fan of the character but god damn hed look amazing fighting off monsters with albw link
