Tugs was a "sister" series to Thomas the Tank Engine, about Tugboats in Bigg City, a NY-like city in the twentieth century. It had about thirteen episodes before the company closed, all very well made and a little more mature than Thomas, plus a little more specifics on the technicalities of work around a harbor and at sea. Characters had their own VAs, lots of adventures, good stuff.
Good quality versions of all the episodes are on Youtube, give it a chance.
